About the role

We are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to craft, develop, and update the curricula and training programs for our Customer Service team. You'll conduct needs assessments, select appropriate instructional frameworks, and create engaging instructional materials.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts to refine training materials and enhance instructional content. You're also tasked with managing content curation and educating experts on content creation and distribution.

As the Sr Instructional Designer you will report to the Senior Director, Knowledge Management.

A day in the life of our Sr Instructional Designer:

  • Collaborate with leadership team and business subject matter experts to design engaging learning that enhances performance
  • Partner with the business to create clear learning objectives to support our goals
  • Develop high-quality learning content to meet the needs of the supported audience
  • Conduct reviews of training materials to ensure learning objectives are met
  • Provide enhancements and revisions to existing materials based on Partner feedback
  • Maintain current knowledge of latest industry tools
  • Collaborate with partners to create quality training deliverables
  • Facilitate in in-person or virtual meetings to support learning projects
  • Maintain accurate status of projects, milestones, and tasks in the team project tracking tool
  • Facilitate in-person or virtual “train the trainer” sessions
  • Diagnose and escalate risks to design projects to appropriate L&D leaders and partners

About You

Role-Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Instructional Design is desired.

YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU

  • Have established relationships with the decision makers for Underwriting solutions at the top US P&C Insurance Companies
  • 10+ years of progressive experience working at/with Insurance companies Underwriting department
  • Held a Director level role or higher
  • Have a in-depth knowledge and understanding of the North American Insurance ecosystem
  • Have excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal; you master the art of making complex things feel simple
  • Can tailor communication to the needs of internal and external stakeholders with confidence and versatility, and thus provide memorable and impactful insights
  • Can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Have a university degree in a business-related field or commensurate experience
