Wurk is hiring a Remote Benefits Operations Specialist

Summary

The Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the ultimate success and integrity of client EDI Feeds (Benefit Carrier Connections & COBRA Admin), cyclical open enrollment Benefit setup and rollout, and annual ACA filing as well as regular outreach and maintenance for the ACA module. They will work directly with client’s HR Modules (HR Core, Benefits, & ACA, with an opportunity to learn others) & EDI connections and establish a great working relationship with our client contacts and internal teams.

Responsibilities

· Provide front line support to manage the annual ACA filing process for all clients, including the following: establishing key deadlines, creating, and sending communication to clients, holding ACA Year-End Webinars and Q&A sessions, pulling and reviewing data to resolve AIR file errors, complete filing and mailing via our 3rd party vendor.

· Ensure all new EDI Feed implementations and ongoing EDI feeds are setup with our vendors within the established SLA in addition to managing all production and discrepancy errors with the client and other relevant parties.

· Provide feedback to and partner with HR Implementation consultants, Project Managers, Premier Services team & others on project status, escalations, configuration, etc. to drive milestones & ensure clear expectations are provided to the client and project teams.

· Configure and update UKG HR Module(s) and integrations to accommodate all client requirements for Carrier Connections, Open Enrollment, & ACA.

· Configure any new and developing integrations for new clients and add-ons (i.e. Benefits & ACA) for existing clients and provide client training on such as required in these areas.

· Update all project materials to track completion of tasks and ensure all project documentation is in shared folders for the purposes of information retention and quality assurance.

Required Skill Sets and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

· PHR, SHRM-CP preferred

· 3-5 years of experience in UKG Ready systems implementations with a role in at least 2 years working with Carrier Connections and data flow and account structure mapping as it relates to implementing EDI feeds or similar end-to-end solution.

· Experience in business process mapping

· Experience in change management as an asset

· Understanding of common human capital management (HCM) business practices required.

· Understanding of ACA compliance and annual filing process guidelines and best practices.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel proficiency required.

· Experience with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment, WFM experience with one or more of the following applications preferred: SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Kronos/UKG, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Vantage, Workday.

· Customer relationship acumen and experience required.

· Proven ability to engage with multiple projects & customers at the same time and manage priorities.

· Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills.

· Ability to lead and facilitate customer trainings.

THE ROLE

The Associate Legal Counsel role will provide broad-based transaction and compliance support across Khan Academy’s functions. You will work with other members of our legal team on issues of diverse scope, and will have first-line responsibility for supporting business teams, consistent with your experience and our needs. 

  • Provide broad- based transaction support across Khan Academy’s functions.  
  • Review and negotiate contracts including NDAs, license agreements, and vendor agreements.
  • Provide support for our compliance programs, including review of product changes and assessment of third party services used in the product.
  • Support the maintenance and development of our privacy compliance program.
  • Research and track developments in regulatory areas relevant to our business, such as  privacy, security and emerging AI regulations.
  • Serve as a project manager or liaison for cross-functional projects and legal team initiatives.
  • Handle miscellaneous matters as need arises. 
  • This role is well-suited to a motivated self-starter that wants to broaden their skill set in a role that will continue to grow with the business.  

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Must have a JD from an accredited U.S. law school and be an active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • 2-5 years of legal practice experience.
  • You are a corporate generalist, preferably with some experience advising technology companies. 
  • You are curious, eager to learn and hone your skills in a fast-paced environment.  You are adaptable to change as the needs of our business evolve.
  • You have some experience with (or strong appetite for researching and developing expertise in) privacy, security, & data protection.

As for all our security roles we’re looking for an engineering mindset with a passion for security as well as a natural collaborator who can understand business needs and develop security solutions that empathize with people's experiences.

Your Experience and Expertise 

  • BS in computer science, Business, Accounting, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, information security operations or related IT operations
  • Strong experience as a SOC2 Compliance auditor, preferably at a big4 firm
  • Controls and Standards knowledge (SOC2, NIST CSF, 800-53, 800-171, CIS)

Description:The Paralegal will assist the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Science & Technology Officer, as well as other attorney(s), corporate scientists, and the sales team, by providing administrative and research support services, including contract preparation, review, and negotiation; administering the company’s materials sampling process in support of the sales and R&D teams; and supporting the management of the company’s extensive intellectual property portfolio.  The Paralegal must demonstrate a keen attention to detail and possess strong analytical skills to analyze contracts.  Previous experience in contract management and familiarity with corporate and intellectual property legal terms and agreements are highly desirable.  Opportunity to increase scope of responsibility commensurate with demonstrated skills and abilities.

Fundamental Components: 
  • Meets with in-house attorneys, scientists, and sales team to discuss matters within the scope of responsibility.
  • Prepares legal documents using standard forms and templates; performs preliminary contract reviews and assesses changes proposed by counterparties.
  • Drafts other basic legal documents under supervision of in-house attorneys.
  • Prepare and file basic SEC filings under supervision of the Chief Legal Officer.
  • Administers corporate contract review and approval process; analyzes contracts to ensure they comply with corporate policies and standards.
  • Assist with managing equity awards using on-line software applications.
  • Prepares, organizes, stores and retrieves company contracts.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Internal Audit and IT Risk Coordination

Qualifications

As a Senior Product Counsel, you’ll … 

  • Be the go-to legal partner for various teams and stakeholders with whom you’ll collaborate and provide legal expertise regarding compliance, best-practices, and legal implications (e.g., regulatory issues) for existing and proposed services, products, and other offerings. About the Job

Life360 is looking for an experienced, hands-on attorney who loves to understand the businesses they support deeply and help develop creative solutions to manage risk while helping achieve business objectives.  The Legal Counsel will act as legal advisor to internal clients and manage outside counsel on litigation and IP matters.  The Legal Counsel will also support other company attorneys, as needed, on a variety of matters which may include, but not limited to, commercial transactions, procurement, product development, and marketing.  This role will have exposure to all levels of the organization(s) he or she supports.

The US-based salary range for this position is $190,000 to $265,000 We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

Litigation & Claims

  • Responsible for providing guidance and risk assessment regarding litigation matters to Life360 and its affiliates, Tile and Jiobit.
  • Counsel business partners regarding legal compliance and risk management, and develop strategies for litigation and risk management in the jurisdictions in which Life360 operates.
  • Manage outside counsel, with a focus on efficiently managing fees and costs.
  • Direct, manage, and develop strategy for responding to litigants, regulatory and government agencies, and other pre-litigation matters.
  • Assist in the handling of law enforcement requests and inquiries, including the improvement and development of related processes, policies, procedures and templates.

IP Matters

  • Support the development and management of Life360’s Intellectual Property portfolio globally, working with external counsel and teams throughout the company to ensure strategy alignment.

General Support

  • Eager and willing to take on broader responsibilities to support the business and our lean and agile legal team. Take the lead on various special projects across legal areas beyond litigation and IP, as the need arises.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years legal experience (at least 2+ years in-house), in the technology industry, supporting litigation and/or IP matters, with experience supporting consumer-facing businesses.
  • Significant experience managing complex litigation, projects, issues, and/or transactions with many stakeholders, including the management of related budgets.
  • Strong, demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to develop creative and pragmatic solutions for complex and evolving issues in a rapidly changing environment.
  • JD from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state Bar in good standing.
  • Additional experience in Privacy, Employment, Compliance, Product, Marketing or Commercial Contracting is a plus.
  • Sound and practical business judgment; can effectively help minimize risk while achieving business objectives.
  • Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively and collaboratively, being resourceful and taking on additional responsibility as the need arises.
  • High emotional intelligence, excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to provide clear legal guidance to non-legal team members across the company.

Overview:

You will:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance

  • Collaborate with LivePerson teams to ensure we are implementing security best practices that meet relevant regulatory compliance requirements. 
  • Support the strategy for managing an increasing number of audits, compliance checks and assessment processes. 
  • Assist in the testing and analysis of the LivePerson control environment against industry and regulatory governance frameworks.

Audit

  • Work with the respective audit teams to obtain necessary evidence information for audits/assessments and certifications.
  • Provide guidance, evaluation and advocacy for all audit responses.

Shared Responsibilities

  • Support GRC team with other standard daily processes/ticket requests, as need arises.
  • Provide assistance in the 3rd Party Vendor Management program.
  • Assist the team to build and manage the security awareness program. This can include sending mass email communications, validating the content of the training is sufficient, providing reports for compliance/audit requirements.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all business partners and provide a consistent perspective that continually puts LivePerson into the best security posture possible. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the Global Security Team and maintain the reputation of LivePerson as a valued business partner to its customers.

You have:

  • Experience in a SaaS environment.
  • College degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
