Meet Our Team:

Torc is seeking a commercial counsel to join our growing and dynamic legal team and help support the company’s purpose of driving the future of freight. We are looking for a collaborative and creative thinker, whose role will include providing advice to departments across the company, including at the leadership level, and leading on a wide range of critical business objectives, including commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, contract lifecycle management, insurance, and litigation support. As part of the team, this individual will play a key role in helping build the world’s leading autonomous trucking solution by contributing to developing Torc’s go-to-market strategy and building out our future sales function.

What you'll do:

  • Draft and negotiate contracts and other transactional documents, including customer or vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and services agreements.
  • Work closely with key business and legal partners to help define and lead key objectives
  • Collaborate closely with other legal team members and business clients on significant and business-critical legal issues to remove roadblocks and develop creative solutions
  • Lead efforts to build out and mature contract lifecycle management, including template library and other legal team processes
  • Develop playbooks and processes to enable efficient operation of new sales function
  • Provide counsel and support on internal investigations, contract disputes, or other legal matters
  • Assist in outside counsel management and support litigation efforts as needed

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Law degree from an accredited institution
  • Membership and good standing in a state Bar; eligibility and willingness to be admitted in Virginia or other applicable bar under either a Corporate Counsel Certificate or waiver
  • Counsel requires at least 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house corporate legal department, with strong substantive experience in one or more relevant subjects; Senior Counsel requires at least 6 years of experience with demonstrated ability to lead significant transactions and other significant legal matters
  • Significant contract experience required
  • In-house corporate experience required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional projects, identifying key stakeholders, and building relationships to meet high priority business needs on time
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, nimble work environment
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and effectively apply learnings within an evolving industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong business insight and judgment, team orientation and collaborative style
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in an effective, discrete, and sensitive manner

Meet The Team:

Provides technical and functional expertise across multi-disciplinary teams and is responsible to ensure Torc’s products meet appropriate functional safety standards.  Leads & co-ordinate activities associated with implementation of safety standards.  

What You'll Do:

  • Set-up safety & Cyber Security plan
  • Track and monitor FuSa/SOTIF/Cyber Security activities
  • Work closely with the engineers to ensure ISO 26262, ISO21448 & ISO21434 (Functional Safety, SOTIF & Cyber Security) standards are implemented
  • Lead safety relevant process and methods development based on standards
  • Facilitation and creation of work products, such as item definition, DIA, TARA, FSC, TSC, etc
  • Facilitating and attending process and technical reviews
  • Set-up DIA and align with development partners
  • Lead safety & Cyber audit, assessment and prepare action plan based on assessment report
  • Support team with providing training to increasing engineering knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO21448 & ISO21434
  • Identify gaps related to ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), ISO 21448 (Safety of the Intended Function) & ISO 21434 and communicate to management
  • Support the development of cyber security requirements for autonomous trucks
  • Collaborate with system design and architecture development teams on specification development for our Autonomous Trucking program   

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Systems or related engineering field required with 10 or more years of engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of automotive, heavy-duty truck, or aerospace industry products
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the application of ISO 26262, ISO 21448 & ISO 21434
  • Strong experience in systems engineering, preferably including in automotive software
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills
  • Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of management
  • Position requires transportation to locations outside the main complex

Meet the team: 

The Actor Fusion Team plays a vital role in our L4 autonomous truck development by ensuring robust perception of actors in the surrounding environment. We focus on developing, implementing, and refining algorithms and systems that track objects of interest (cars, pedestrians, cyclists, signs, etc.) in real-time. This accurate tracking data is critical for various tasks such as motion prediction and path planning. 

What you’ll do:  

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong software expertise to develop a safe, reliable and performant object tracking system. You will: 

  • Lead the design and development of robust software applications for real-time object tracking. 
  • Utilize your proficiency in object-oriented programming principles to design efficient, testable and maintainable tracking algorithms. 
  • Collaborate with a creative team of engineers and researchers to solve multi-disciplinary problems. 
  • Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations. 

What you’ll need to Succeed: 

  • Bachelors of Science with 6+ years of relevant work experience in computer science, robotics, or related technical field 
  • 5+ years of experience writing production code using modern C++ on Linux    
  • Strong proficiency with software architecture and design methodologies. 
  • Strong understanding of probability theory and linear algebra. 
  • Ability to write clean, documented, and performant code for real-time embedded systems. 
  • Proactive, team spirit and open communication. 

Bonus Points: 

  • MS + 3 years of industry experience OR PhD in relevant topic 
  • Strong understanding of object tracking algorithms (e.g., Kalman filters, DeepSORT). 
  • Understanding of 3D Geometry and Transforms 
  • Proficient with ROS (Robot Operating System) 
  • Experience with Python 
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) 
  • Knowledge of safety engineering, functional safety and requirements engineering according to ISO26262

Dynatrace is hiring a Remote Federal Account Executive, Civilian Agencies (Remote, DC/Virginia/Maryland)

Job Description

  • Execute on account plans to deliver maximum revenue potential within a pool of broad, regionally focused accounts  
  • Drive new logo acquisition; while working with existing customers to retain and expand Dynatrace usage 
  • Consult with VP- and C-level executives to develop and implement an effective enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Dynatrace; position Dynatrace relative to the competition 
  • Generate velocity by establishing Dynatrace in new and existing markets through product demonstrations, in-market events and account-specific initiatives 
  • Develop a contact network within named accounts and channel partners to ensure Dynatrace can be sold broadly and effectively 
  • Work closely and co-sell with Dynatrace functional areas such as sales engineering, marketing, legal, finance, and other lines of business to develop and execute a solution strategy to meet customer business needs 
  • Ensure your customers’ implementations are wildly successful

(Position might be filled at a higher level based on candidate experience)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS diploma or GED AND at least 3 years of experience in closing enterprise software sales.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Enterprise Software sales experience in the Federal Civilian Agency space
  • You are able to manage sales cycles within complex organizations; while compressing decision cycles 
  • You have outstanding communication (written and oral), negotiation and presentations skills 
  • You know how to collaborate internally across all supporting resources within sales to maximize your effectiveness and advance the sales process    
  • You show a successful track record in Enterprise software sales 
  • You thrive in high-velocity situations and can think/act with a sense of urgency  
  • Your organizational, communication, negotiation and presentation skills are top-notch  
  • You have experience with account mapping and planning 
  • You are a motivated and tenacious self-starter who consistently delivers high performance against quota driven by VP- and C-level relationships 
  • You possess MEDDIC experience 
  • You possess APM experience (just a plus -- not necessary) 
  • Up to 30% of travel required within the region
  • Targeting candidates within fifty (50) miles of Washington D.C. or Arlington VA
