Job Description
An opportunity for a Costa Rica based Expert Finance role is available to support the Experian Health Business Unit for North America. Experian Health partners with over 63 percent of US hospitals and 7,700+ other risk bearing entities to provide data-driven insight, connecting and simplifying tasks across the patient journey, including patient scheduling, registration, check-in, estimates, and payments.
This role will be responsible for providing support Health Finance Team in North America overseeing the full cycle within the BU, creating partnership and constantly looking for process optimization.
This position will provide opportunities to work closely with Finance teams across all North America businesses and support business unit specific analysis as well as region-wide initiatives to improve planning and reporting capabilities. This position will be a key role in a growing team and will provide additional opportunities for growth for the right individual.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the following key duties and responsibilities:
- Work with business IT leaders on developing / completing business case / supporting with financial modelling to ensure the best deal for Experian is obtained
- Create and maintain reporting like: vendor trend reports, headcount files, accrual reports, and capital reports
- Analyse and interpret operating results and investigate variances mainly for cost accounts.
- Support P&L analysis/variance explanation to meetings with Directors and above levels to provide insights.
- Support monthly forecast process and annual budget more focused for P&L
- Drive continuous improvements in forecast accuracy, process efficiencies, and system automations.
- Support the month end close and prepare monthly management reports.
- Lead ad hoc projects to prepare and report non-standard or financial information as requested by senior management.
- Drive successful transition and stabilization of offshored budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
- Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and COE performance metrics.
- Manage and maintain effective documentation to ensure creation and maintenance of desktop procedures (DTPs).
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years related experience.
- Advanced English level.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting concepts.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques.
- Ability to build and modify complex Excel models. Strong knowledge of reporting techniques including Dashboards.
- Critical thinking and the capability to generate consistently accurate and useful reports, as well as enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight.
- Able to work in a complex faced environment with many moving parts and frequent changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment.
- Highly motivated, self-starter who manages projects end-to-end and has a demonstrated track record of getting results, organizing and prioritizing deadlines.
- Aptitude for system automations and streamlining processes.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision, be proactive and take initiative when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master in Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant, or Certified Management accountant.
- Experience with enterprise planning systems, Hyperion Planning/Essbase.
- Experiences managing Opex and IT cost preferred.
- Experience with working in an offshore shared service center.
- Tableau experience.
