Job Description
We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Professional with excellent interpersonal skills to identify new sales opportunities and grow our existing customer base both through acquisition of new clients as well as organic growth with our current customer base within northern Ontario.
- Present, promote and sell customs brokerage, consulting and freight forwarding services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
- Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Reach out to prospective customers through cold calling.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Accurately track sales leads, opportunities, current customer interactions and competitor information through SugarCRM.
- Complete RFP/RFQ requests for existing and potential clients.
- Work in conjunction with parent company through mutual internal sales program to identify opportunities for both groups.
- Travel within vast northern Ontario sales territory for customer facing meetings and tradeshows - overnight travel is required.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets on a quarterly & annual basis.
- Continuous improvement through feedback and professional development.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of identifiable sales experience within the customs brokerage and global logistics markets.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or college degree or equivalent (preferred)
- CCS/CTCS Designation through CSCB(preferred)
- Highly motivated and target driven with proven track record in sales - valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required. Mileage allowance/reimbursement provided.
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communications skills.
- Time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
- Familiarity with the Challenger Sales methodology.
- Experience within ITMR4 brokerage software (preferred).
- Aptitude with SugarCRM and Google platforms.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
