Job Description
This is a remote position however we need to hire someone currently living in the East Coast who can manage this sales territory. Florida and New England are the preferred locations.
The Power Director of Sales is responsible for achieving revenue and aggressively growing the Savant Power brand while managing a small team of Power Sales Associates (1-3).
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute action plans to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual revenue quota, including:
- Working with VP of Sales on launching Savant Power Systems within newly signed distributors
- Working with Distributors and Reps to support forecast and design of new business to achieve individual annual sales targets and business goals
- Day to Day management of Reps and Distributors
- Working with regional Savant Technical Sales Managers providing in-region system design, new product reviews and training
- Qualifying sales leads and passing on referrals to the distributors
- Identifying and visiting key specifiers and providing appropriate system design training, etc.
- Reporting directly to Business unit head, responsible for driving a small but growing multi-faceted team to deliver and manage Savant Smart Power Solutions (residential and lite commercial) into a number of channels and customer types:
- Solar Installers
- Smart Home Installers
- Direct to Consumer
- CNI/Lite Commercial Property Owners
- OEM/Strategic Partnerships
- National Retail Accounts
- Renewable Distribution
- Utility
- Help drive sales strategies and programs into the exciting new channels with explosive growth opportunities.
- Working closely with internal sales engineers, product management, professional services, and marketing leaders.
- Manage high priority Savant Power projects in conjunction with the local installation teams while providing feedback to executive staff.
- Increase market share with existing customers by promoting and driving adoption Savant Power Systems.
- Manage and support local representatives across the region to achieve revenue and growth goals.
- Promote Savant Power Systems and the Savant Brand by representing Savant at local and national trade & industry events, both virtual and in-person.
- Promote the Savant brand through training and educational events to both installation and distributor partners.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years senior sales management experience in renewable energy markets delivering sales growth.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-tech company environment.
- Technically-savvy in renewable energy products (solar, storage, EV Chargers, Load Management, etc.) and software driven solutions.
- Experience with Electrical, Solar, Generator installations and a broad understanding of the renewable energy space.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent listening skills.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Keynote, iPad/iPhone applications, webinar platforms, etc.
- Ability to analyze and adapt to business priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Solid financial and budgetary skills.
- Ability to work a variable schedule with willingness to travel.
- Necessary Travel commensurate with sales objectives.
- Ability to work remotely from home office and develop and host virtual selling, education and marketing sessions.
- Experience with ERP and customer relationship management software.
- Electrical Experience preferred.
