Job Summary

Would you like to apply your skills in an innovative production facility? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Receiver!This role will be based out of our Injection Molding plant located in Pineville, NC. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Receiver would be responsible for processing and handling stock in and out of the production plant while maintaining a high understanding and practice of 5s. Duties include but may not be limited to verification of received contents, correct items and that no items are damaged.

Position Offers
  • Competitive compensation at $22.44 per hour
  • The position is a Full-Time, Permanent Position with Comprehensive Benefits

  • Set schedule from Monday through Friday, with bi-weekly pay.
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of items and their location in the plant; also, to be familiar with the part number system.
  • Complete knowledge & utilization of the RF system and Infoflo.
  • Perform and document forklift start-up procedure.
  • Required to accurately load and unload trucks and receive product with limited supervision.
  • May have to contact designated shipping companies to schedule a pickup when needed.
  • Perform cycle counts as necessary.
  • Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Completion of high school education or equivalent.
  • Forklift License required.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge and experience with logistics and 5s.
Working Conditions
  • Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting to 50-75 lbs.
  • Fast-paced environment where a considerable amount of sensory attention is required.
  • Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat or cold, dust, noise levels and the use of forklift and sharp tools.

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will report to the Production Supervisor and focus mainly on cutting and bending pipe based on product specifications while working a 12-hour continental shift schedule (non-rotating). We provide on the job training, so experience is not vital.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are key principle accountabilities, but are not limited to:

  • Plan and layout work assignments and accomplish with maximum efficiency.
  • Operate cutting saws, setup and operate automatic and manual pipe bending machines in the department
  • Responsible for proper regrind control including proper sorting of regrind materials.
  • Operate strapping equipment and air nailers.
  • Pack products as per packaging specifications.
  • Perform operator quality inspection checks.
  • Housekeeping around the area and machines, and maintain 5’s.
  • Performs necessary administrative functions related to the position.
  • Will be required to function in other capacities as directed by the direct supervisor.
  • Follow all plant health, safety, environmental and quality policies by working safely and responsibly
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a strong asset.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety practices is necessary.
  • Basic math skills including geometry and fractions.
  • Able to solve sophisticated problems using sound problem solving techniques and good judgment based on previous practices and precedence
  • Ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail, and adhere to instructions diligently
  • Flexible to work 12-hour continental shift schedule (7 days bi-weekly)

Working Conditions

Incumbent spends almost 100% of their time in a plant environment requiring varying degrees of considerable physical labour. Lifting, pulling, pushing heavy objects, standing and walking cover majority of work. Personal safety is affected by exposure to heat, dust, noise levels and the use of equipment such as sharp blades and presses. Moderate amount of sensory attention is required. Limited control of work pace and unexpected workflow brings moderate stresses to this position. The incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules and regulations.
