Product Designer

OneDomeLondon, GB Remote

OneDome is hiring a Remote Product Designer

ProductDesigner

Founded in 2016, OneDome is on a mission to transform the buying and selling property experience for consumers and property service businesses in the UK.

Our property technology is an end-to-end platform that helps consumers with their property search and purchase, while our B2B products empower property professionals to adapt to their customers’ changing needs.

Millions of people participate in property transactions every year in the UK. In most cases, it’s a stressful and unpleasant process held up by outdated, admin-heavy and labour-intensive processes. We are changing this experience forever using data, powerful digital technology, and an innovative business model.

With offices in London and Kiev, we are a young, fast-growing, well-funded start-up ready to reshape the property industry to better reflect the consumer demands of the 21st Century.

So, that’s what we do, and here’s who we are…

We are obsessive simplifiers: we go into great detail to find ways to deliver a simple experience for our home movers. We relentlessly seek out ways of making it easier to get over the home purchase finishing line.

We are strong believers in what we do: we are excited about having an opportunity to fix one of the most stressful experiences in a consumer’s life, as well as help people complete their most crucial acquisition free of any stress.

Our values reflect our journey and our ways of working…

Entrepreneurship: we are dreamers and hard workers. We have to be - building a startup to fix one of life’s most stressful events requires hard work, stamina, responsibility of ownership, and persistence.

Transparency: transparency is at the core of our products and we believe that this will make the process more efficient for everybody. We have a strong dislike for opaqueness and complexity and prefer to keep things simple and transparent.

Collaboration: we believe in collaboration and teamwork. Property transactions are a collaborative effort between all key stakeholders and so is our approach to improving it.

We’re in a period of explosive growth and now have an exciting opportunity available for a Lead Product Designer, to take responsibility for design across the company. You will be focusing on the UX and UI of our market-disrupting products, along with leading the design team and managing and coaching junior members of the team.

What will you be doing, day-to-day?

  • Participate in UX/UI lifecycle: conducting research, translating research insights into ideas, and finally designing the workflows and complex interactions to bring the products to life
  • Work with the product team to identify opportunities for product improvements and to understand priorities and product requirements
  • Sketch and prototype ideas to quickly identify viability, then create the detailed level designs to be turned into product changes
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure that designs are technically achievable, and that the final product meets your requirements
  • Make sure that designs are consistent across our suite of products
  • Own the company's design system
  • Mentor junior designers
  • Work with marketing to help define our visual communication

What skills, experience and qualifications do you need?

  • 3+ years of experience working in UX or UI design on a digital product
  • Experience with B2B and B2C products
  • Appreciation of the product development process, from problem-solving through to detailed UI
  • Fluency with visual and interaction design tools such as Sketch, InVision
  • Excellent communication of design work supported by an understanding of business needs
  • Degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Competency with HTML/CSS and ability to work within a highly technical environment, as well as good understanding of technical requirements and limitations
  • Experience with designing marketplace and/or SaaS products, or;
  • Design experience gained in an agency environment
  • Experience in/with tech startups
  • Ability to collaborate proactively with different teams across the company
  • Specific experience of property marketplaces would be highly beneficial, but is not essential

What do we offer?

As well as competitive salaries, we offer our people a range of flexible working options, a challenging, supportive and (in normal times!) social environment, generous share options and constant personal development. If you’re ambitious, driven and highly analytical, data obsessed and allergic to the word ‘no’, come and join us on our mission to change the property market for good.

All our roles are currently remote, and there’s the option to continue with this in the mix, but we are usually based at our office in Westminster.

Travelstride is hiring a Remote UX Designer

Job Description

As Travelstride’s lead UX Designer, you will work with the founder, product manager and a team of developers to create and improve engaging and satisfying user experiences with new platform features for both travelers and travel companies. As the only full-time designer at this early-stage company, you will be responsible for the complete user experience as well as the look and feel of our products. You will help develop new ideas through research and testing.

You are both a strategic thinker and a tactical doer - eager to roll up your sleeves and do all design work as necessary for both the core product and also to support marketing and other company initiatives

To thrive in this role, you would possess a unique blend of UX, design, business, and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality with a ‘get it done’ attitude.

Does lower base salary, big challenges, bigger impact, talented colleagues, high equity and financial bonus upside, and fun team environment sound good for you? Read on!

On our team, you will:

  • Create beautiful web pages and experiences that delight users and achieve business goals

  • Design wireframes and pixel perfect hifi designs to meet business needs balancing UX, SEO, CRO and other business goals

  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product manager and engineers

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemap

  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets

  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems

  • Proactively speak with users directly and via surveys and other tools to understand evolving needs and suggest future changes and opportunities

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Have 2 to 5 years of design experience

  • Thrive in a fast-paced results-driven environment with varied responsibilities and challenging assignments that would strike fear into the hearts of average designers

  • Rock design tools like Figma

  • Communicate ideas easily verbally and in writing with engineers and marketing

  • Prefer to experiment with new designs and use data to drive decisions rather than view as an art project

  • Listen to customers, partners, and teammates, and respond well to feedback

  • Embrace Web Usability, User-Centered Design, & Agile methodologies

  • Feel passionate that ‘success is in the details as much as in the ‘big picture’

  • Love managing multiple projects simultaneously and hit deadlines, using the 80/20 rule as your mantra

  • Are known to friends and colleagues as cheerful, with a good sense of humor and a positive attitude

  • Enthusiastically and proactively help beyond the bounds of your day to day role

  • Ship quickly and adjust your process to fit the needs of an early-stage startup, valuing shipping a good solution now over a great solution several weeks from now.

In a perfect world, you would...

  • Have experience in consumer marketplaces, e-commerce or other transaction-oriented consumer web apps preferred

  • Know SEO and how to balance it with UX

  • Have previously thrived in a true early startup experience previously (from Bootstrap to Series B)

  • Understand and have helped design for online niche communities and/or gaming products

Senior Product Designer

ThousandEyesRemote, UK or London, UK

ThousandEyes is hiring a Remote Senior Product Designer

Who We Are

The name ThousandEyes was born from two big ideas: the power to see things not ordinarily possible and the ability to collect insights from many vantage points. As organizations rely more on cloud services and the Internet, the network has become a "black box" outside their control. ThousandEyes gives organizations visibility and insight into the now borderless network. It gives them an accurate understanding of how the network impacts their applications, users, and customers. Today, ThousandEyes is central to the global operations of the world's largest and fastest-growing brands.

At ThousandEyes, we are fanatical about design. Our product is built to visualize the Internet and the services that flow across it. The Internet is a massively distributed system with thousands of networks at its core, serving half of the human population. As a Sr. Product Designer, you are going to solve data visualization problems at the Internet scale. We believe in innovation, simplicity, and elegance. Empowering organizations to see, understand and improve digital experiences everywhere.

About the Role

ThousandEyes is looking for a London or EMEA Remote Senior Product Designer who is excited to design and deliver best-in-class user experiences for our Intelligence and Endpoints Business’. Intelligence and Endpoints are built upon a large multi-domain dataset collected within the ThousandEyes platform. Providing advanced cross-layer correlation, intelligent event detection, forecasting, recommendations, and endpoint monitoring.

You will work with our customers, engineers, product management, and customer success to determine design requirements, create mockups, and user workflows, do user research, and provide feedback to constantly improve our product. You will be part of the full product development cycle, from strategic user decisions to pixel-perfect design delivery.

We are looking for someone who can collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to make complex, technical concepts intuitive and be responsible for designing broad areas of our product.

Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you’ll be responsible for chartering the design direction for some of the most important capabilities within our platform. As a product designer, you can expect to operate as an end-to-end product designer:

  • Design, conduct, and synthesize user research activities to help build a deep understanding of our users and address usability issues
  • Create user journeys, wireframes, detailed UX flows, prototypes, UI mockups, sketches, visuals, decks, and explanations that promote understanding and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Simplify complexities around data visualization, helping our users get actionable insights seamlessly
  • Iterate based on feedback from various team members, users, and subject matter experts
  • Drive design decisions based on data from user metrics and qualitative interviews

What We're Looking For

  • Design Acumen: You will work closely with our team of product managers and engineers to understand the customer problems and apply design thinking approaches to build simple, cohesive product experiences
  • Product Sense: Our favorite product designers bring together insights from every corner to design and build the best product experience.
  • Curiosity: The best candidates understand that creativity and growth start with a curious, humble mindset and asking thoughtful questions.
  • Ownership: The best product designers take the responsibility of delivering a successful product to heart, and step in wherever needed, even if crossing typical role boundaries; they never shy away from the details nor lose sight of the bigger picture.
  • Communication: Effective communication with any audience (company leadership, engineering, customers, and more) is key to success in this role
  • Attitude & Ambition: The best candidates are smart, hard-working, competitive, and unafraid to fail. They are a team first but willing to take the lead with minimal guidance and supervision.

Qualifications

  • Have 5+ years of Product Design experience, ideally with demonstrated success in enterprise/SaaS software products
  • Experience and/or a passion for working with data visualization
  • Have a portfolio that showcases a proven track record of shipping user-centric design work

Please be sure to include your portfolio link and password in order to be considered for this role.
