We are looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs to technical specifications.
- Design, build, and deploy BI solutions primarily using Tableau.
- Maintain and support Tableau data analytics platforms.
- Support the development of business intelligence standards to meet business goals.
- Implement BI solutions to achieve data reporting and analysis goals, utilizing Tableau as the primary tool and Power BI as needed.
- Identify new data requirements, analysis strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems, focusing on Tableau and including Power BI as needed.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate Tableau and Power BI systems.
- Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
- Create visualizations and reports for requested projects using Tableau and Power BI, if needed.
- Develop and update technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing advanced reporting, business intelligence, or data visualization tools, with a focus on Tableau.
- 5+ years of database expertise. Advanced SQL capabilities and dimensional modeling expertise are required.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, related field, or work experience.
- Strong experience with ETL development, data modeling, data warehousing, SQL, and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
- Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to stakeholders and senior management as required.
- Analyze key metrics to uncover trends.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support analytical and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in all things Tableau is a must, Power BI experience is also preferred and level of expertise on both will be evaluated during interview.
- Suggest and build new metrics and analyses that enable a better perspective on the business.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Experience implementing technical projects/programs
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 product suite.
- PMP or similar project management certification
Salary Range
Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors, including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects the geographic ranges of Washington state: $130,900 to USD 161,800/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
