We are looking for an excellent and highly motivated FP&A Analyst to join our team. In this position, you will have a significant role in annual planning, forecasting, and budget control and you will act as a business partner to R&D leaders. Another aspect of your role will be analyzing the company’s overall business performance. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a finance business partner to various R&D groups and leaders (VP level), develop excellent relationships with them, and be an integral part of their day-to-day work and decision-making process.
  • Analyze expenses and HC, and compare actual performance with prior periods, forecasts, and plans. Investigate and explain key variances, trends, and drivers.
  • Participate in the annual planning process, and perform budget control and rolling forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain routine and ad-hoc reports and KPIs for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Analyze the company’s bookings, revenue, and various SaaS metrics, using large complex data sets, to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Work closely with the finops team to analyze and track AWS and other cloud service provider costs.
  • Work closely with product managers on analyzing their products’ business performance.
  • Build complex strategic financial models, to support the company’s business decisions and future investments.
Requirements:
  • BA in Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent degree
  • 4+ years of experience as an FP&A/Financial Analyst
  • Experience working at a SaaS company - Advantage
  • Experience in finance business partnering and working with executives
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and budget control
  • Experience in partnering with Accounting on a financial close cycle and solid accounting knowledge
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization with the ability to deliver analyses clearly and effectively
  • Outstanding knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle or other ERP system

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with business IT leaders on developing / completing business case / supporting with financial modelling to ensure the best deal for Experian is obtained
  • Create and maintain reporting like: vendor trend reports, headcount files, accrual reports, and capital reports
  • Analyse and interpret operating results and investigate variances mainly for cost accounts.
  • Support P&L analysis/variance explanation to meetings with Directors and above levels to provide insights.
  • Support monthly forecast process and annual budget more focused for P&L
  • Drive continuous improvements in forecast accuracy, process efficiencies, and system automations.
  • Support the month end close and prepare monthly management reports.
  • Lead ad hoc projects to prepare and report non-standard or financial information as requested by senior management.
  • Drive successful transition and stabilization of offshored budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and COE performance metrics.
  • Manage and maintain effective documentation to ensure creation and maintenance of desktop procedures (DTPs).

Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years related experience.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques.
  • Ability to build and modify complex Excel models. Strong knowledge of reporting techniques including Dashboards.
  • Critical thinking and the capability to generate consistently accurate and useful reports, as well as enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight.
  • Able to work in a complex faced environment with many moving parts and frequent changing priorities.

  • Provide insights and updates to the commercial teams to drive sales performance and focus during weekly sales reviews.

Incentives

  • Help design bonus and incentive plans to support business performance.
  • Build, maintain, and manage bonus and commissions models, and provide quarterly commission plan updates.
  • Working alongside HR, run incentives governance process to set targets and payouts, including providing recommendations, approvals and supporting query resolutions.

Data analysis

  • Lead and coordinate specific revenue or customer analysis, guiding the data team as necessary.
  • Drive the effective use of Tableau and Third Ray, from design of reports to ensuring data robustness.
  • Support the wider team in resolving data related billing queries, including volume reconciliations.

Other

  • Corporate Development - Support on any corporate development programmes or activity as required.
  • R&D Expenditure Credits – run annual process, working alongside PwC to drive optimum outcomes in addition to other tax projects as they occur.
  • Impairment – support annual audit process in the valuation methodologies as and when required.
  • ESG – key finance contact for all ESG matters, including the reporting and analysis that is submitted annually to our third party ESG consultants.
  • Insurance – management of all insurance queries across Trustonic, including policy renewals, and updates.

POSITION

We are seeking one or more full-time Air Quality Data Scientists to join our passionate team of scientists, engineers, and data analysts at PSE Healthy Energy (PSE). We study cutting-edge solutions-oriented climate and energy problems in the hope to protect public health and the environment. Our research doesn’t end at publication—we embrace the scientist as a spokesperson role and level with the public through press releases/briefings and active engagement with diverse stakeholders and policymakers. We host a suite of in-house, research-grade trace gas analysis capabilities that have been deployed all over the world to better understand the climate and health pollutant emissions from gas-fired residential appliances, commercial kitchens, direct air capture facilities, and more.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, willing to adapt to the inevitable unforeseen challenges of primary scientific research, never afraid to bring new ideas to the table, and excited to work in a high-impact setting where there is always more to learn. The Data Scientist will be responsible for analysis and data management across a range of projects and will require collaborating with multiple team members, and responding quickly to changing research needs and priorities. The position requires the ability to work with scientific data to identify patterns and trends, establish processes to ensure data quality, and provide custom outputs for use in peer reviewed scientific publications. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in one or more of the following areas: methane, air quality (indoor and/or outdoor), and environmental monitoring/modeling with a keen interest in the policy interface.

It is not expected that a single candidate will have expertise across all these areas—we’re seeking candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas and have some interest and capabilities in others.


ROLES

  • Data Management:
    • Manage large datasets including data extraction, organization, quality control / quality assurance (QA/QC) and compliance with data privacy policies.

About the role:

The Growth team is looking for a Senior Data Product Manager to build and own data products that enable Samsara to go to market more effectively. You’ll partner closely with our data, marketing, sales, and other go-to-market teams to define our data collection, management, and usage strategy to inform and plan our marketing and sales activities. In this role, you will: 

  • Define customer and digital data collection, management and usage strategy to enable Samsara’s marketing and sales programs.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage customer and product data, and build data products and pipelines that enable scalable and impactful go-to-market activities.
  • Partner with the go-to-market stakeholders to build and manage data product roadmap. Own delivery against the roadmap from requirements definition to completion in collaboration with the Marketing Data and Analytics team, and the internal and external data and technology partners.
  • Document business scenarios, customer journeys and expected outcomes mapped to requisite data and automation capabilities solutions.
  • Act as subject matter expert with business stakeholders on internal data, technical processes and solution approaches.  
  • Suggest and enhance processes for team operations to drive team productivity and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience working with data engineering and analytics teams to spearhead and deliver cross-functional data initiatives.
  • 4+ years of experience building complex data products and capabilities across Marketing, Sales or Customer Success programs.
  • Solid understanding of cloud data platforms, reporting systems and predictive analytics.
  • Excellent program management and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to succinctly communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and executives.
  • Ability to collaborate and drive cross-team technical negotiations.
  • Familiarity with customer, marketing and/or web data. 
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in SQL and working with data products.
  • Bias-to-action and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience integrating data from Sales CRM (E.g. Salesforce) and Marketing platforms (E.g. Marketing Automation tools like Marketo, and web analytics).
  • Experience working with CDPs such as Segment, data technologies stack such as Databricks and BigQuery, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Looker.
  • Data Science, machine learning or predictive analytics experience.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually. 

We pay for performance, and top performers in eligible roles may receive above-market equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, related field, or work experience.
  • Strong experience with ETL development, data modeling, data warehousing, SQL, and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • Analyze key metrics to uncover trends.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors, including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects the geographic ranges of Washington state: $130,900 to USD 161,800/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.

We’re looking for a Business Operations Associate to join the Fertility Growth team and work across a large cross-functional organization to bring Alto to even more fertility patients. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, Partnerships, Fulfillment, Finance, and Corporate Development to drive strategic initiatives and prioritization as well as assisting in company-wide strategy, planning, and operations. You will have high exposure to leadership and top strategic business questions. You will own projects that involve key growth and margin initiatives.

  • Perform in-depth, high quality analysis and build dashboards to measure key business metrics.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the fertility and pharmacy landscapes by becoming a trusted expert in patient, provider, and partner priorities to drive the health of the business. 
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to define and prioritize initiatives and focus areas.

A Bit About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a strategic operational role within a high growth company.
  • Experience with Looker or Tableau or other similar business insights tools. Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets.
  • You can operate “full stack” by asking your own questions and utilizing the necessary data to get the answer.
  • You are able to visualize the data in high signal-to-noise ways making key insights clear, and compelling to executive audiences.
  • Experience using insights to drive swift action by creating project structures, execution plans, and momentum for yourself and those around you.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL/R experience
  • Experience supporting B2B sales teams
