The Opportunity

We are looking for a software developer with good knowledge in Python and Bash to join our team. The problem domain we need to solve is in Linux system administration, including LVM, networking, kernel configuration, host hardening etc. Our code is responsible for building, packaging, installing, upgrading, configuring and re-configuring a cluster of hosts (physical, virtual, on customer's premises and in the cloud), that is running our in-house developed product. We are working within the RedHat echo-system, with technologies such as SELinux, LVM, systemd, iproute, RPM, Docker, Makefile, etc. 
 
 Requirements: 
  • 5 years of Software Engineering experience including:
    • High proficiency in Bash with experience with large and and complex code base - must 
    • Python experience and good knowledge of the stdlibs - must 
  • Deep Linux Administration knowledge - must 
  • Linux Internals experience - advantage

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining pipelines which focus on deployment from testing to production environments of the Imperva’s DAM components, and to provide solutions which mitigate the day-to-day work of the developers by creating tools and scripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • BE, M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years experience as DevOps engineer (or similar) 
  • Deep knowledge of Linux system 
  • Deep knowledge of Python and Bash scripts
  • Deep knowledge on GIT, Jenkins 
  • Expert in Architect/Design features
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) is added Advantage 
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Micro-service is added Advantage

About the team

 

We are a team of programmers based in central Stockholm responsible for developing real-time bot detection software, data processing pipelines, and customer-facing tools. Our team works according to modern development practices and our main language is Rust. We also have frontends, and browser/mobile SDKs for Android and iOS. We operate a global infrastructure and deploy daily and we work closely with data scientists and cybersecurity threat researchers.

We are now looking for a person who wants to help us in strengthening our defenses against bad bots. You have an analytical and creative mindset and can approach problems from new angles. Most likely, you enjoy exploring new technologies and use them to your advantage, rather than being heavily specialized in a few areas.
