What challenge awaits you?

It’s our vision that the Application platform team provides our clients great experience while using the application with ease to create new assets and collaborate with other teams. It will be up to you to execute this vision, so that customers teams and users can cooperate to build amazing customer experiences, adopt more use cases and help them drive their business.

You will manage shared functionalities that are utilized by our clients and internal teams and are crucial to proper functionality of the application. These are essential features such as access management, authorization, importing, cloning and  management of assets.We have hundreds of clients and every day thousands of their employees use our platform to bring a great value to their business. 

As App Product Manager you need to comprehend the whole application and identify how to develop features that comprehensively support other parts of the application. In this role you need to balance the needs of existing customers and new requirements. It would be important to decide what are pros and cons with creating something new vs modifying existing features but you also need to consider business values and think why this would be important for our clients. There are also opportunities to dive deeper into the SaaS business model (e.g. scaling, costs etc..) and understand what needs to be taken into account to make it a  win-win situation for us and our clients.   

Your job will be to:

  • Own the the feature across the whole lifecycle, from opportunity identification, through specification & development to adoption
  • Discover and identify client business problems, needs, and the larger business objective
  • Evaluate the impact and value proposition for solving the need for the target client and find the best solution 
  • Define and articulate what the success looks like and measure it
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders (engineering, design, product marketing, product research) from both the business & technical side.
  • Support development of features from other components finding the right balance between security, compliance and ease of use.

What we expect of an ideal candidate:

  • Understanding of IT (Databases, Cloud, SaaS, API, CI/CD, SDLC etc..) 
  • Critical thinking. You are expected to understand the problems behind the requests of internal business stakeholders and clients. Distinguish a symptom from the core problem.
  • Clear communicator and team player. The ability to communicate concisely and convincingly in a way that demonstrates clarity of underlying thoughts. 
  • Negotiating skills to find a solution and compromise suitable for multiple parties. 
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving and “Can-do” attitude.
  • Ownership and responsibility mindset
  • Analytics skills to understand data and how to interpret them.
  • Business thinking and interpreting business value 
  • The experience working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment is highly valued.

This background could help you (not required): 

  • Experience from a B2B or B2C SaaS/Technology company
  • Experience working with/for enterprise companies
  • Knowledge and interest in a field of security is nice to have.

In this dynamic role, you will be an integral part of a world class sales and sales engineering organization. You will be responsible for pre-sales in the Japan region and will lead a highly skilled team of sales engineers with responsibilities to support pre-sales activities, build programs to develop technical and sales skills, create your own initiatives that drives thought leadership and address specific enablement needs of your region. In addition to enabling your own team, you will be highly involved in deploying a technical enablement strategy for the partner ecosystem in Japan.

You will also partner with leadership across sales, channel, marketing, product, customer success, technical support and other business functions to design, support and execute growth initiatives. In addition, your entrepreneurial spirit will identify other areas of opportunities for growth that you own and execute.

Fundamentally, this position will require a business savvy individual with a strong background in technical sales, cyber-security, solutions consulting and desire to proactively engage aspects of the business that drives growth for Japan and Imperva.

This position will report to the APJ Senior Director of Sales Engineering.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Japan Area Vice President of Sales to drive enterprise-wide sales-related initiatives within our accounts and channel.
  • Oversee technical pre-sales operations to support regional quota achievement.
  • Interact at a senior level with customers and partners and provide valuable insight into industry trends, customer challenges, technical evolutions, and business changes that will help the customer make their security decisions
  • Understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial challenges faced by our prospects and customers that Imperva addresses
  • Ensure effective account planning and pre-sales execution is executed across the teams to deliver compelling business-focused solutions that address customers' security needs.
  • Develop and own outcome-oriented pre-sales initiatives that drive pipeline and sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Imperva partners (reseller, distribution, system integrators, and alliances) and drive and measure initiatives to improve sales productivity.
  • Lead expansion initiatives to support the upsell of solutions within key accounts.
  • Ensure the teams develop deep ongoing relationships across their accounts to drive adoption and growth across the portfolio after the initial sale.
  • Define and report on a regular basis key metrics that measure success of pre-sales activities and initiatives.
  • Personnel management – create clear goals for your team with individual development plans to maintain high standards of engagement.
  • Provide pre-sales leadership with continuous engagement and strategic planning with Sales management, Sales Reps, SEs, partners and customers to positively impact sales calls, build technical relationships and resolve technical issues as needed.
  • Operate effectively in a matrix manner with extended teams, such as Support, Finance, WW SE, HR, Product Management, and other relevant organizations.
  • Act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise in the territory.
  • Develop, mentor, manage, and support reporting sales engineers with technical and organizational leadership.

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 8 years of Sales Engineering management experience preferred.
  • Reputation with customers and partners as a trusted advisor who will always take care of their needs.
  • Possess a combination of strong management, technical and business skills.
  • In addition to cyber-security, must possess working knowledge of cloud native technologies, cloud services, networking, databases technologies and programming used in modern application development.
  • Strong track record of sales, leading teams, and execution in fast paced environment.
  • Industry knowledge of security market trends including Application, Data and API security.
  • Ability to present at key conferences and deliver executive presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with customers and partners at senior levels.
  • Highly motivated with a strong focus on solving problems, customer success and a clear commitment to generating topline growth
  • Leads by example, possess a sense of urgency, and will not hesitate to get into the details of the business.
  • Strategic thinker and high-performance individual that can collaborate and lead cross-functional initiatives from ideation to execution.

Cyber Security is a big deal. It’s in the news, growing rapidly, a critical tool for every company, and our specialty.

The Opportunity:

Imperva’s Security Analyst is tasked with tackling and solving our most complex field issues for enterprise customers in combating automated threats targeting their web applications, API’s, and mobile applications. As a Security Analyst, you will be analyzing large amounts of traffic to websites to find global correlations and patterns. Based on the conclusions drawn from the analysis, the analyst collaborates with the customer and internal teams to implement mitigation strategies to stop automated website attacks. An important component of the position is to work with clients, investigate anomalies, and provide easily consumable but detailed evidence for all actions taken.

The position requires working from Imperva's Vancouver office and working on Saturday or Sunday. A typical work schedule could look like Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Work Days are flexible as long as they are consistent and cover Saturday and/or Sunday.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Become an Imperva Expert--you will know everything there is to know about how Imperva’s Bot Detection platform works, as well as how bots and bot operators attack websites
  • Work with Imperva customers to fully understand the issues automated attacks cause to their business and devise strategies to mitigate or eliminate the issues
  • Serve as a security expert analyzing customer’s network traffic, application designs, applications and provide recommendations to mitigate Bot attacks.
  • Regularly work with the customers on their specific security-related engagements per their billable hours.
  • Participate in presentations with customers on a regular basis.
  • Work with Imperva’s internal threat research, data science, and product teams by delivering actionable intelligence that will inform future product enhancements
  • Use data visualization tools to create consumable reports to quickly validate findings and demonstrate the efficacy of actions taken
  • Be a trusted advisor, take ownership of all problems you encounter, and be a team player

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Cybersecurity or Bot Management space.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management or relevant technical degree
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and customer skills
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with, or an appetite to learn, data visualization tools like Tableau and Looker
  • Experience with basic scripts in one or more languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
  • You have a knack for automating redundant tasks, streamlining repetitive processes, and are always looking for opportunities to scale operations
  • Ability to lead and work independently as well as tightly with a team
  • Prefer a candidate with a degree of flexibility to take appointments evenings and mornings, as required
  • Proficiency in English language required for effective communication within and English speaking environment

About the department

Cloudflare’s Billing Engineering Team built and maintains all the internal/external billing related services, product provisioning services and services related to entitlements. We are looking for an engineer to join our Billing Team; an energetic team focused person who is growth mindset oriented, able to drive his work from inception, requirements definition, technical specification phase, development, testing and go live.

You will work on a range of transactional microservices written in Go. You will be involved in helping to maintain our operational excellence by triaging, solving various inbound tickets related to issues across services billing maintains. As you grow within the team you will be given opportunities to own bigger initiatives and lead projects from start to finish solo or as part of a smaller team.

  • At least one of the following certifications: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Salesforce Solution Architect, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and II
  • 4+ years of experience with Apex, Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Force.com Migration tool, and the Lightning Component framework
  • 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Technical Architect, implementing Salesforce solutions, including Experience Cloud
  • 4+ years of experience with data modeling, data migration and design of scalable data architectures
  • 4+ years of experience developing and deploying custom business logic and custom interfaces using the Lightning Platform
