What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sales of the CloudFlare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds including but not limited to Sales Consultants, Technical Consultants, Technical Support and Program Managers. 

You are a customer facing technologist within the Cloudflare Solutions Engineering team. You have experience in working in a pre-sales or other technical customer facing role supporting large enterprise accounts or acquiring new enterprise customers, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills suited to explain the benefits of CloudFlare products and services to existing and potential customers. In this role you will be responsible for partnering with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support, prepare and deliver technical presentations and demos explaining the benefits of Cloudflare products to existing and potential customers, and run proof of concept trials for customers.

Specifically, we are looking for you to:

  • Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems to Cloudflare solutions
  • Build relationships and technical champions within customer accounts
  • Develop and present customer presentations at every Enterprise Customer’s organization level

Basic Requirements

About the Role  

The Researcher Director  will manage the  Research Team to investigate new ideas, build new technologies, inform and execute measurement practices, and dive into existing codebases to make meaningful changes in production environments. Prioritization and planning are key elements as the nature of the team’s research necessarily shifts between putting ideas into practice and onto paper, while ensuring rigorous evaluations of performance, correctness, or impact. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success driving streams of investigation to completion.

About the Team

In this role, you will be focused on the build out and expansion of our global infrastructure. You'll work closely with Cloudflare’s SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) team, Network Engineering team, Infrastructure Engineering team, Project Managers and with various vendors and partners (including hardware vendors, logistics, datacenter and network providers, and ISPs). You will further be responsible for the development and implementation of consistent processes and visibility measurements for consistent and effective management of our infrastructure. This is a highly visible position that requires deep technical understanding of datacenter infrastructure, physical and logical networking, linux, and basic experience with data analysis and project management.

To be successful in this position, you should have excellent technical skills, communication skills, and be able to navigate a range of challenges and constraints (e.g. schedule adherence, time zones, and cultures). You will have the opportunity to (literally) build a faster, safer Internet for our millions of users and the billions of web surfers that visit their sites each month.

  • Provisioning, monitoring and maintaining hardware, software, and network in new Cloudflare data centers.

About the Department

 

The Infrastructure team at Cloudflare handles all our data centers and network interconnections around the world, from research and development of our servers, to planning network capacity expansions, to getting our equipment anywhere in the world that it’s needed, to executing new deployments and data center expansions.

 

Within Infrastructure, the Network Strategy group manages and negotiates interconnections with all our network partners around the world. This includes Cloudflare’s ISP Partner Program, our effort to embed PoPs directly into as many ISP networks around the world as we can.

 

Overview

 

You will play a central role in expanding & maintaining our network footprint by strategically deploying Cloudflare edge nodes into local ISP networks all around the world. You will work closely with ISPs to negotiate interconnection agreements, manage the implementation process, and support them to resolve the various requests we hear from them.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize potential ISP partners for edge node deployment based on network reach and strategic alignment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at ISPs, including network engineering teams, peering coordinators, and executives.
  • Manage the end-to-end implementation process, including traffic analysis, capacity planning, equipment installation and provisioning. Collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders throughout. 
  • Oversee program management activities, including project planning, resource allocation, and prioritization, to ensure the timely and successful deployment of new hardware around the world. 
  • Lead efforts to improve processes, maximizing efficiency, and scalability of the ISP Partner Program.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting with ISP partners, including data center hardware and various network issues.

As Risk & Litigation Counsel in EMEA, you will be responsible for assisting on all of our intermediary liability litigation and regulatory matters across the region. You’ll work with our internal legal team, external counsel, and stakeholders across the company to handle ongoing lawsuits in Europe, respond to litigation threats, and assist in broader legal strategy. And you’ll help Cloudflare navigate intermediary legal regimes like the EU’s Digital Services Act. The ideal candidate has the passion to keep pace with a fast moving docket, the curiosity to dive deep into evolving technology and Internet law, and the initiative to help scale our litigation function alongside a fast growing company. 

In this role, you will:

  • Work with our existing litigation team to help formulate and implement litigation strategies relating to emerging intermediary law issues;
  • Evaluate and respond to litigation threats and legal matters;
  • Help select, onboard, and manage outside counsel on all aspects of litigation (including factual development, briefings, hearings etc.)
  • Work cross-functionally to further develop Cloudflare’s approach to the Digital Services Act and other intermediary laws across the region;
  • Assist in responding to and working with government regulators and private organizations on issues relating to Cloudflare’s approach to abuse on our network;

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our API Shield product engineering team and Application Security Platform team. Requirements:

  • At minimum, Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. M.S. and Ph.D degrees are highly desirable. 
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong background in API security, data science, and fraud detection, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing security and fraud detection algorithms and systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust, and experience with data analysis and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Kafka, and familiarity with Clickhouse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

About the department

Cloudflare’s Billing Engineering Team built and maintains all the internal/external billing related services, product provisioning services and services related to entitlements. This is a vital team centric to every product launch, campaign or initiative Cloudlfare undertakes. There are constantly multiple high profile initiatives going on, therefore ability to context switch, communicate proactively and manage expectations is a key.

What you'll do

We are looking for an engineer to join our Billing Team; an energetic team focused person who is growth mindset oriented, able to drive his work from inception, requirements definition, technical specification phase, development, testing and go live.

You will work on a range of transactional microservices written in Go. You will be involved in helping to maintain our operational excellence by triaging, solving various inbound tickets related to issues across services billing maintains. As you grow within the team you will be given opportunities to own bigger initiatives and lead projects from start to finish solo or as part of a smaller team.

Our tech stack is a modern container-based microservice architecture. Technologies we use include Docker, Go (golang), PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka and the usual Unix/Linux tools and workflows. We strive to build reliable, fault tolerant systems that can operate at Cloudflare’s scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and sustain SaaS applications license management, with a particular emphasis on automating provisioning and streamlining onboarding processes in collaboration with IT Operations and Infrastructure teams to improve operational efficiency
  • Be the main point of contact to administer and oversee Enterprise Applications platform access for Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal and BI departments. (Quip, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gainsight and PRM platform)
  • Triage and/or support the operational needs of the Global sales team, as well as Marketing, Finance, Legal, Customer Support, and various internal stakeholders as it relates to Enterprise Applications.
  • Implement and maintain efficient automated processes for user provisioning and de-provisioning across multiple GTM Tools, while maintaining detailed documentation for onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Use industry standardized tools for vendor and license management such as Zylo, Productiv etc to monitor and manage software license counts and ensure vendor contract compliance and cost-effectiveness on behalf of respective departments. 
  • Conduct regular audits to assess license utilization and optimize allocation.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the Go-To-Market systems landscape.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to Define,refine and document the employee onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for new joinees.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years Proven experience in system administration, with a focus on access management and automation within a heavily integrated Enterprise Systems landscape.
  • Good understanding of CRM platform, preferably Salesforce.
  • Experience administering integrated tools within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work independently to tackle problems and build out unique scalable solutions

About the team

The Business Intelligence team at Cloudflare is responsible for building a centralized cloud data lake and an analytics platform that enables our internal Business Partners and Product teams with actionable insights and also provides a 360 view of our business. About the department

The Customer Support Team solves complicated problems and answers technical inquiries via phone, email, chat, and social media. Whether it is a WordPress blogger using our services for free or a global Enterprise business with petabytes of web traffic, our team is always eager to assist. At Cloudflare, Technical Account Managers (TAMs) are part of our Global Customer Support organization and work directly with customers to ensure a consistent and high level of support. We are the eyes and ears of Cloudflare, acting as the real-time voice of the customer to help communicate their needs and real-world use cases back to the rest of the company - to help build a better service and future product development.

What you'll do

The Technical Account Manager will own the post-contract end-to-end support experience for Cloudflare’s most strategic customers, to unblock post-go-live technical support challenges. They are a dedicated technical primary point of contact for our top-tier Enterprise customers. TAM’s responsibilities are to manage and monitor support interactions, serve as an internal advocate for customers, respond to customer escalations, and proactively escalate issues as needed. TAMs meet regularly with their respective customer(s) and provide proactive recommendations that support customers’ requirements, roadmap, and ongoing technical needs, partnering with the Customer Success and Account Team members.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong customer service and leadership skills, be a self-starter, be committed to ongoing self-education, be able to collaborate across organizations and have excellent technical problem-solving skills.

As a TAM aligned with Cloudflare’s Developer Platform products, you’ll be working closely with customers who use these solutions as an integral part of their Cloudflare configuration, addressing their primary support needs.

  • Serve as primary technical support contact.
  • Document and maintain technical profiles for customers to ensure a globally consistent and smooth support experience.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with all cross-functional resources, such as product, engineering, and customer account teams comprising Account Executives, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Partners throughout every sales phase.

What you'll do 

Cloudflare is seeking an International Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with internal team members in addition to handling external service providers. You will own all aspects of Cloudflare’s payroll processes for our international employees. The International Payroll Specialist will report to the Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage all payroll operations related to employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, equity transaction, benefits, etc.; this includes processing payroll for exempt and non-exempt workers, researching discrepancies and identifying and resolving payroll-related issues
  • Partner with HR to keep all payroll records accurate and up to date
  • Provide formal and ad-hoc analysis of payroll, benefits, and headcount
  • Oversee the delivery of out of cycle/ad hoc payments to employees and production and issuance of manual checks or electronic transfers to bank accounts
  • Support annual financial statement, defined benefit plan, and other audits as required
  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matter

Examples Of Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and/or equivalent combination of education
  • 2-3 years of international payroll experience 
  • Highly analytical with a strong working knowledge of payroll and tax processes with multiple withholdings, benefits (health and welfare and retirement), garnishments, labor compliance, accounting principles related to payroll.

What you'll do as a Zero Trust Solutions Engineer

  • Minimum 3 years of prior Technical Sales, Systems Engineering, or related experience

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

  • For Colorado-based hires: Estimated annual salary of $181,000 - $221,000.

About the Role

Cloudflare is seeking a Marketing Analytics Intern for our Regional Programs team with a passion for B2B marketing and an interest in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies. This intern will work on our Americas field marketing team, focusing on analyzing campaign performance, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in analyzing and improving marketing campaign performance, channel mix, and will be eager to learn industry standards and best practices for optimizing ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Current university student in Analytics, Marketing, Business, Economics, or other quantitative fields
  • Monitor the performance of all Americas marketing programs, including events, paid social, display, content syndication, webinars and other marketing channels.
  • Analyze attributed pipeline, efficiency (ROI), and conversion of each marketing channel. 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis into ‘time-to-pipeline’ for various marketing channels.

What you'll do

Cloudflare is looking for highly motivated Enterprise Account Executives seeking a role with the opportunity to help build a GTM working with some of the largest companies in North America. This position will manage a focused set of ~20-30 accounts with $1B -$25B in annual revenues. The Enterprise Account team will shape and lead Cloudflare’s Go To Market.

We will leverage the strength of all Cloudflare functions to become a strategic partner to our customers and their digital transformation efforts. Our product and services and our methods of engagement will differentiate and delight our customers.

The AE will interact with both C-level clients and senior technical decision makers, utilizing Cloudflare solutions and resources to drive a business partnership focused on joint success with our customers.  Success requires consultative, solutions-oriented sales, and customer service skills in addition to intense personal energy and focused activity. A critical factor of achievement in this role is the ability and desire to focus and lead an internal group of constituents to bring their skillset to bear to build solutions and exponentially grow revenue. The AE must be expert in identifying business opportunities with customers, developing Enterprise Account Plans, driving execution across functional stakeholders, and closing revenue. The Enterprise Account Executive should be comfortable engaging in business level outcome conversations with the C-suite, presenting Cloudflare’s vision and plan for value creation to all levels, and negotiating win-win scenarios for all parties.
