Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
  • Previous experience as a Staff Engineer or Principal
  • Exceptional experience:
    • Designing, developing, and operating business-critical distributed systems at scale
    • Building a technical strategy and driving it across multiple teams
    • Working with workflows, process automation, and software product development
  • Outstanding communication skills to provide technical guidance and leadership
  • Ability to navigate technical debates and drive technical alignment
  • Proven experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineering talent

We measure the effectiveness of this mission through operational metrics which prompt us to proactively create and scale new infrastructure when needed, and we have a specific ownership of the availability and operation of the AWS cloud infrastructure which is the basis of our platform.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of excellence. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, design, and implement robust, scalable infrastructure solutions. Work closely with Engineering teams to optimize application performance and reliability in the infrastructure.
  • Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a roadmap for infrastructure projects and scalability requirements (10x scale).
  • Implementation: Implement best practices for infrastructure management, monitoring, and automation to ensure high availability and reliability. 
  • Operations: Operational rigor to ensure infrastructure security and incident management.
How you’ll go about it:
  • Proven track record of leading the architecture and design of new and existing systems with AWS.
  • Experience designing and building scalable software to handle 10x load increases and 100x peak traffic spikes.
  • Maintain open and clear communication and foster a collaborative work environment with team members, stakeholders, and management.

About the department

The Customer Support Team solves complicated problems and answers technical inquiries via phone, email, chat, and social media. Whether it is a WordPress blogger using our services for free or a global Enterprise business with petabytes of web traffic, our team is always eager to assist. At Cloudflare, Technical Account Managers (TAMs) are part of our Global Customer Support organization and work directly with customers to ensure a consistent and high level of support. What you'll do

The Technical Account Manager will own the post-contract end-to-end support experience for Cloudflare’s most strategic customers, to unblock post-go-live technical support challenges. They are a dedicated technical primary point of contact for our top-tier Enterprise customers. TAM’s responsibilities are to manage and monitor support interactions, serve as an internal advocate for customers, respond to customer escalations, and proactively escalate issues as needed. TAMs meet regularly with their respective customer(s) and provide proactive recommendations that support customers’ requirements, roadmap, and ongoing technical needs, partnering with the Customer Success and Account Team members.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong customer service and leadership skills, be a self-starter, be committed to ongoing self-education, be able to collaborate across organizations and have excellent technical problem-solving skills.

As a TAM aligned with Cloudflare’s Network Services products and with a working understanding of Layer 3 and 4 functionality, you’ll closely engage with customers who integrate these solutions into their Cloudflare configuration, addressing their primary support needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary technical support contact.
  • Maintain a cooperative relationship with all cross-functional resources, such as product, engineering, and customer account teams comprising Account Executives, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Partners throughout every sales phase.

What you'll do

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) will own the post-contract end-to-end support experience for Cloudflare’s most strategic customers, to unblock post-go-live technical support challenges. Position Description:

The Device Authenticator and Fastpass platform team is responsible for building Okta Verify Apps and SDKs. Okta Verify is a mobile app that allows you to securely access your apps via 2-step verification, ensuring that you, and only you, can access your app accounts. It integrates with Android system features by communicating with our backend and grants proper application access.

 

We are looking for a Staff Quality Engineer to join the team. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining Okta Verify and SDKs across Apple platform, Android and Windows. 

 

In this role, you would report to the Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance, and be responsible for robust and secure releases and the automated testing of the Okta Verify app and SDKs. You will also be responsible for developing the test plans for new features and working collaboratively with application developers to execute tests, log, track and validate test results. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product management, development, and cross-functional teams using JIRA and Confluence tools to define test plans based on business requirements and application software designs.
  • Work with software engineers and engineering management to scope, plan and execute automation and test efforts
  • Master, improve, and innovate upon our existing tools and automation for Desktop clients and Web applications
  • Interface with Product Management, Development, Documentation, and UX teams
  • Partner with Customer Support and field teams to understand customer use cases and build relative test plans

The Department: Security

In the emerging industry of digital assets, there is nothing more important than trust. The Gemini security team forms the backbone of trust. In fact, Gemini’s very first hires were security specialists and we continue to tackle unique challenges in the crypto space. Our team ensures that our customers, clients, and employees are safe, secure, and supported.

The Role: Software Developer

As an early member of the new Security Services team, you will help build, own, and operate critical infrastructure powering Gemini’s security capabilities. In this hands-on Engineer role, you will collaborate with other security and engineering teams to develop platforms, tools, systems, and reusable components that enable our defense. You will hone your skills establishing robust backend services. You will have the opportunity to shape best practices around secure software development, automation, and DevSecOps. Your mission is developing, operating, and supporting the tech that protects Gemini.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, improve, and support security platforms and tools leveraging solid software engineering
  • Work with security and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver capabilities
  • Adopt and promote secure coding patterns, security automation, and DevSecOps
  • Receive mentoring and develop hands-on engineering skills as an early team member
  • Assist in maintaining and extending existing security platforms and tools owned by the team
  • Partner with engineering teams to balance features and operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in backend software engineering and infrastructure roles
  • Experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems
  • Hands-on software development experience in modern languages
  • Knowledge of Linux, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to understand needs
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in information security, security automation, and/or DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of cryptographic concepts, secure coding, and threat modeling
  • Familiarity with security technologies like SIEM, WAF, EDR, and SAST
  • Experience building and/or operating access control, authentication, and/or authorization systems

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $104,000 - $130,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

This position will report directly to the Principal Product Designer. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to support our efforts in building world-class mobile solutions for our direct-to-consumer products, as well as our business partners. You will play a key role in building smart security products that people love.

POSITION LOCATION:

This position is eligible for a fully remote schedule with all work performed remotely out of San Francisco, CA.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

  • Using your full range of skills (UX design, design thinking, interaction design, prototyping, visual design) to create elegant user experiences that combine the digital (mobile, web) and physical (devices), guided by market and product requirements to solve real problems for real people.

  • Designing independently and taking design ownership throughout the entire product lifecycle, in multiple product areas.

  • Consistently leveraging all available quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and creatively suggesting data sources when they are not readily available.

  • Communicating and closely collaborating with software and hardware product managers, engineers, quality assurance engineers, and executive stakeholders.

  • Advocating for changes, refinements, and ongoing improvements to the user experience.

  • Working across the entire design stack including helping to refine understanding of problems and needs, ideating, iterating, prototyping interactions in detail, and producing high-fidelity visuals.

  • Playing a lead role in maintaining documentation of user experience in accordance with design practices.

  • Facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams and with multiple stakeholders and constituencies. Leading design activities and workshops like journey mapping, design critiques.

  • Planning and leading user testing.

  • Working with ecosystem and business partners to develop user experiences that work seamlessly for people, across multiple physical and digital technologies.

 

Hiring Pay Range: $130K-$165K

*Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of design experience, with 2 years focused on IoT products.

  • A BA/BS in design, UX/UI, HCI, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Expert proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design, prototyping, and collaborative design processes, along with experience in leveraging Jira for project and issue tracking.

  • Strong skills in developing and applying design systems.

  • Fluency with interaction design, and advanced prototyping, including proficiency with Protopie.

  • Excellent visual design skills for polished, pixel-perfect outcomes.

  • A profound understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, with the ability to distill complex physical and digital interactions into seamless, intuitive user experiences.

  • A solid understanding of Material Design and Apple’s human interface guidelines.

  • Knowledge of Swift UI and Jetpack Compose capabilities is a plus.

  • Experience working independently through an end-to-end product design process as a part of a scrum software team (product owners, mobile, backend, and quality assurance engineers).

  • Superior communication and teamwork abilities, proven through experience in diverse, cross-functional team settings.

  • A proactive approach to design decision-making, self-management, and organization, with a talent for identifying and solving complex design challenges.

  • Mastery in thinking holistically about user experiences across diverse product categories and focus on all possible states and micro-interactions (error handling, edge cases, success states) with relentless attention to detail.

  • Expert in developing user models, use cases, and user journeys in close collaboration with product managers within a scrum agile framework.

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, usability issues, and cross-browser compatibility challenges to deliver highly polished and robust web components
  • Develop and execute effective testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure software quality and reliability

What you will bring:
