The Role

We are currently seeking a Sr Product Manager to join our Data Enablement team!

Data Enablement's mission is to empower Analysts with a scalable Operating Platform, inclusive of new workflows, products, and cloud-based tooling that works seamlessly across multiple regions. The team provides interdisciplinary product management, helping Engineering teams increase their impact and implement solutions that:

  • Enhance the Analyst experience
  • Reduce operational risk
  • Enable Addepar’s growth in new and existing markets

The DE team is driving Addepar's transition from legacy tools and processes to a more scalable global operating model using new tools and capabilities being created by the Engineering organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Engineering, Product and Data teams to deliver high quality, timely and reliable data workflow solutions.
  • Build consensus with the cross functional team to prioritize increments of work based on level of effort, interdependencies, and other relevant criteria
  • Analyze and develop solutions to improve data operations and portfolio data pipeline efficiency.
  • Use your understanding of our existing data models to describe key workflows and write technical requirements on how to transform raw data into functional content on our platform.
  • Investigate issues raised by clients or partner teams to refine and implement fixes with our development teams.
  • Understand Addepar’s products and clients. Using these insights, work with counterparts within the business to drive new and innovative opportunities to improve client experience.

Contribute to the evolution of Addepar’s master financial concordance solutions to better serve our clients and cement Addepar’s role as the best-in-class integrator of market traded and alternative asset investments.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience and education that demonstrate proficiency in product management and user workflows
  • Domain knowledge / expertise regarding data processing workflows and financial products
  • Practical knowledge of agile thinking and lean practices; creative (non-dogmatic) with project approaches, willingness to experiment, and ability to guide teams toward activities and processes that best suit project goals
  • Ability to identify the appropriate tools and techniques to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to perform basic Project and Scrum Management tasks (assigning tasks to team members; ensuring designs, requirements, and other inputs are ready when needed for work to begin; leading agile ceremonies, scheduling increments in the necessary order to manage dependencies, managing WIP, managing expectations with Account Managers, lining up beta, addressing impediments, leading agile ceremonies etc.)

Job Description

The incumbent will thrive, in collaborating and managing a team of engineers, to develop and maintain products and solutions, in a highly regulated and complex environment.

The position will require to work with both technical and business teams, to understand the requirements and dependencies, for the features that need to be developed and/or enhanced in a continuous fashion. 

Project Management: Attend daily standup meetings and all agile ceremonies with the team, Scrum Master, and Product Owner to ensure the goals of the sprint/quarter are the focal point and the team marches towards completing them.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the development team, guiding them to ensure we run a steady KTLO, while ensuring the changes/implementations being picked-up are designed with the plan to be able to migrate them to AWS cloud with minimal re-work.

Quality Assurance: Oversee all stages of software development to ensure quality. Establish and enforce code standards, perform code reviews, and lead troubleshooting efforts.

Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient use of resources in AWS, such as EC2 instances and Lambda functions, to optimize costs and performance.

Team Development: Coach and mentor development team members. Facilitate their professional development and foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Budgeting and Planning: Plan and manage the budget for the entire project. Work with financial and leadership teams to forecast expenses and justify them.

Communication: Act as a bridge between non-technical stakeholders and the development team. Explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand.

Qualifications

Education: Typically, a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field 

Technical Expertise: The candidate should have extensive experience in developing and managing .NET Core applications. Knowledge of other relevant technologies like ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, and LINQ is also essential.

AWS Knowledge: Proficiency in using various AWS services such as EC2, Lambda (serverless), S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudFormation is a plus. An AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification could be an added advantage.

Microservices Architecture: Experience with microservices architecture is important. This includes understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS for container orchestration.

Experience: Several years of software development experience, with a substantial portion of that time spent in a leadership or management role.

Database Knowledge: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS's DynamoDB.

DevOps Experience: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and other DevOps principles is beneficial. Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline or similar is desirable.

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, team building, and leadership skills are crucial. The manager must be capable of guiding a team and coordinating with other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of design experience, with 2 years focused on IoT products.

A Senior Software Engineer in UNiDAYS is a hands-on software development role focused on building innovative solutions to delight our members and drive product success in a fast-paced company.

You will be working closely alongside the rest of our product and engineering teams while defining, refining, building, and measuring the impact of the solutions you implement. These may be across our portfolio of marketplace products, identity products, or elsewhere as the business grows.

Day to day responsibilities 

Working in a cross-functional product team to build end-to-end solutions. This will involve taking part in the standard agile ceremonies, as well as collaborating with other team members in addition to all stages of the software development lifecycle designing/writing/debugging/testing/shipping/supporting the code you develop

Responsibilities

Project Coordination:

  • Advise on project plans including objectives, timelines, tasks, resources, and budget requirements, in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including corporate engagement, research, policy, communications, fundraising, and operations (including monitoring, evaluation and learning).

  • Oversee project activities, ensuring that tasks are completed as scheduled, that project objectives & KPIs are met and that outcome & impact evaluations are conducted.
