What you’ll do

The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organisation is responsible for the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. Solution Engineering is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds - from Financial Consulting to Product Management, Customer Support to Software Engineering, and we are serious about building a diverse, experienced and curious team.

As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. To aid your customers, you will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support. • Data Visualization and Communication: Present complex analyses and insights in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions are effectively communicated and understood.
• Data Integrity and Governance: Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency by identifying potential issues and working closely with data engineering teams to maintain high-quality data pipelines.
• Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, bringing innovative ideas and best practices to the team and the company.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience writing job descriptions
• Bachelor’s in data science, computer science, statistics, or related field
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist, working on complex projects and large datasets
• Experience with geospatial data and mobile location-based services is highly desirable.
• Experience with advertising, audience segmentation, and personas.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle open-ended, challenging, data-related problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Proven track record of successfully delivering data-driven insights and solutions that have a significant impact on product and business decisions
• Python, including Pandas and Scikit-learn
• SQL and Spark
• Amazon Web Services (S3, Athena, Glue, Lambda, SageMaker, etc.)
