What you’ll do

• Help create and implement a vision that drives us towards modern best practices for Client and Identity, including infrastructure as code and Zero Trust
• Work across People, Corp Eng / Biz Tech (IT), and Security to automate and streamline our onboarding/offboarding processes, and make role based permissioning easy to deploy
• Bootstrap the engineering practice for our growing client endpoint fleet, which is a mix of Mac and Windows

What you’ll do as a Solutions Engineer

You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre and post sales. You will work closely with our Enterprise prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. Your technical expertise in Cloudflare’s global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, to train and onboard new customers via video-conference or in person, through documentation, and to support the long-term success of the customer. Responsibilities

• As critical members of Cloudflare’s Enterprise Sales team, Solutions Engineers drive technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep our customers happy.
• In business generation and expansion, you’ll be tasked with qualification of prospect and customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demonstrations, solution identification and design, and collaborative work on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. 
• 5+ years of technical engineering experience, including hands-on coding experience. 
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, KQL (Azure Data Explorer), and other relevant programming languages. 
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Bicep, as well as Azure DevOps concepts. 
• Previous experience implementing, maintaining, and scaling data infrastructure, ETL pipelines, CI/CD automation, deployment patterns, and monitoring. 
• Familiarity with Azure data engineering or ML platforms like Azure Databricks and Azure Machine Learning is preferred. 
• Strong coding skills in Python, C, C++, C#, React, Terraform, and BICEP. 
• Familiarity with Agile Development Processes and Azure DevOps. 
• Previous experience with data and AI technologies is advantageous. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Recent experience with Azure data engineering or ML platforms like Azure Databricks and Azure Machine Learning. 
• Experience implementing and operating ML infrastructure. 
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-3/4, BERT, T5, etc., and their applications and limitations, or equivalent knowledge of ML models. 

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $120,000 to $140,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
