Meet the team: 

The Actor Fusion Team plays a vital role in our L4 autonomous truck development by ensuring robust perception of actors in the surrounding environment. We focus on developing, implementing, and refining algorithms and systems that track objects of interest (cars, pedestrians, cyclists, signs, etc.) in real-time. This accurate tracking data is critical for various tasks such as motion prediction and path planning. 

What you’ll do:  

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong software expertise to develop a safe, reliable and performant object tracking system. You will: 

  • Lead the design and development of robust software applications for real-time object tracking. 
  • Utilize your proficiency in object-oriented programming principles to design efficient, testable and maintainable tracking algorithms. 
  • Collaborate with a creative team of engineers and researchers to solve multi-disciplinary problems. 
  • Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations. 

What you’ll need to Succeed: 

  • Bachelors of Science with 6+ years of relevant work experience in computer science, robotics, or related technical field 
  • 5+ years of experience writing production code using modern C++ on Linux    
  • Strong proficiency with software architecture and design methodologies. 
  • Strong understanding of probability theory and linear algebra. 
  • Ability to write clean, documented, and performant code for real-time embedded systems. 
  • Proactive, team spirit and open communication. 

Bonus Points: 

  • MS + 3 years of industry experience OR PhD in relevant topic 
  • Strong understanding of object tracking algorithms (e.g., Kalman filters, DeepSORT). 
  • Understanding of 3D Geometry and Transforms 
  • Proficient with ROS (Robot Operating System) 
  • Experience with Python 
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Job Description

The Financial Crimes Technology team at Cash App detects and reports illegal and suspicious activity on Cash App. We work globally with partners in Product, Counsel and Engineering to ensure we are providing a safe user experience for our customers while minimizing or eliminating bad activity on our platform.

We use Machine Learning and Generative AI as an important part of our toolkit. As Cash App scales, we monitor hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions across traditional payment and blockchain networks. Our machine learning systems monitor and surface suspicious activity (money laundering, illegal activity and terms of service violations) for agent review. Our systems block payments in real-time where appropriate. We use generative AI technologies to improve agent workflow and case review tools, by adding features that accelerate agent productivity and allow them to make more informed and accurate decisions. We are looking for a senior MLE that can integrate vertically into the ML sub-team and focus on building/enhancing tools, libraries, frameworks, developer environments etc. for ML modeling workflows.

This is an IC role reporting into the Data Science and ML Modeling Manager that has leadership responsibilities including driving strategic roadmaps and priorities to completion by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders.

You will:

  • Design, build and enhance batch and real-time inference services and tooling that support our ML use cases

We’re adding a Senior Data Scientist to our team to help inform the future of Webflow with data by building a deep understanding of how our customers create for the web with our product. You’ll partner directly with key product stakeholders to identify interesting business questions and provide the data and quantitative analysis to answer them, leading the development of KPIs and helping teams understand how to improve our user experience. As an early member of our data team, you will also be working to improve our data warehouse by thoughtfully developing clean and reliable data pipelines for lasting impact.

  • Our cash compensation amount for this role ranges from $143,000 in our lowest geographic market up to $198,000 for US locations with a higher cost of labor. All figures cited above are in $USD and pertain to workers located in the United States. As a Senior Data Scientist you’ll … 

  • Enable our product teams to think strategically with key stakeholders about how customers engage with Webflow, identifying and executing on high impact growth opportunities with actionable insights
  • Define product and business success metrics, building tools for monitoring and surfacing drivers of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
  • Leadtechnical and non-technical team members with processes and technical expertise for executing experiments, answering open ended business questions with data, and researching levers for improving our product, 
  • Develop our data foundation, experimentation and machine learning capabilities, collaborating on our strategic roadmap for building new pipelines and tools that contribute to our connected, complete understanding of our customer journey and improve our customer experience. We currently use Snowflake, DBT, Tableau, and Fivetran and are working with our Data Engineering collaborators on scaling our platform capabilities with a number of other tools!

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role.

About you 

You’ll thrive as a Senior Data Scientist if you:

  • Have 4+ years of experiencein a Data Science (or similar) position 
  • Have interest and experiencein mentoring and developing the technical skills of your team members, helping to build a collaborative data science practice
  • Have demonstrated experience working as a Data Scientist (or the equivalent in quantitative analysis), contributing to the strategic roadmap, providing high quality, reproducible analysis that impacts company strategy and decision making, building tools to enable scalable processes and enabling others to do the same
  • Have expertisein applied statistics (e.g. predictive modeling, hypothesis testing, regressions), segmentation and experimentation (e.g. A/B testing) in an industry setting and the ability to explain concepts to technical and non-technical team members
  • Have proficiencyin SQL, and experience with a programming language like Python or R

About this team and role:

We are looking for an experienced Manager, Release Operations candidate with a generalist focus. What you’ll do: 

  • Technically manage the Thunderbird release process, including:
    • Planning the release schedule
    • Approving patch uplifts
    • Monitoring rate of incoming bug reports
    • Managing the localization process and volunteer localizers
    • Ensuring the smoothness of the release and distribution process to end users.
  • Lead and mentor our build and release engineers, fostering their growth through direct management while demonstrating a passion for coaching and nurturing their development.
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of our Python-based CI/CD and release systems and processes to act as an expert resource and conceive and plan improvements to those systems.
  • Manage QA release qualification and coordinate with security, localization, and engineering to ship beta and release builds.

What you’ll bring: 

  • At least 5 years experience in a senior DevOps, Build, or Release Engineering role.
  • People management experience, including successfully leading and mentoring dynamic and diverse teams. 
  • Strong knowledge of scripting(shell, Python), distribution version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with the building/compiling & release engineering of native desktop or mobile applications.

​​About the Role:

As a Manager of Product Analytics you and your team will shape the customer experience through high quality experimental design and hypothesis testing. You will work cross-functionally with product managers, growth leads, and marketing managers in a fast paced collaborative environment. Your knowledge of A/B testing and digital analytics combined with your background in experimental design will allow Hims and Hers to build best-in-class customer experiences. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Product Analytics.

You Will:

  • Build best-in-class customer experiences by testing into sticky product experiences
  • Build business-facing dashboards and do in-depth analyses that state both the statistical significance and the business impact of an experiment
  • Work with your team to define and curate the experimentation roadmap for the product and growth teams
  • Enable data self-service by designing templates that are easy to understand using relevant KPIs
  • Define the success of tests as well as recommended improvements to the product from the results
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across analytics teams, engineering teams, and the growth team to improve the customer experience
  • Distill our knowledge of  tests into playbooks, that can be implemented and utilized to help us transform our digital experience
  • Segment users based on demographic, behavioral, and psychographic attributes to tailor product experiences and lifecycle communications
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, growth, and finance to align analytics initiatives with business objectives
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to answer specific business questions and provide actionable recommendations to product, marketing, and operational teams

You Have:

  • 5+ years of analytics experience
  • 4+ years of experience in A/B testing
  • Experience working with subscription metrics
  • Experience working with CRM data and lifecycle communication
  • A strong work ethic and the drive to learn more and understand a problem in detail
  • Strong organizational skills with an aptitude to manage long-term projects from end to end
  • Strong SQL skills 
  • Expert working with GitHub
  • Experience programming in Python, SAS, or R 
  • Experience in data modeling and statistics with a strong knowledge of experimental design and statistical inference 
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization and BI in Looker or Tableau
  • Ability to explain technical analyses to non-technical audiences

A Big Plus If You Have:

  • 6+ years of analytics experience
  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with incentives and loyalty programs
  • Experience with price testing and modeling price elasticity
  • Experience with telehealth concepts
  • Project management experience 
  • Extensive experience working with Data Engineering
  • Model development and training (Predictive Modeling)
  • DBT, airflow, and Databricks experience
