About the Role - The B2B Marketing team at Instacart is looking for a driven, analytical, and creative Growth Marketing Manager to help grow the CPG Ads side of business. This person will report directly into the Senior Director of B2B Marketing and work cross-functionally with marketing and commercial partners to develop digital campaigns that drive engagement, leads, and growth.

On the Ads side of the business, our vision is to become an indispensable marketing partner to every brand. To date, we have built an advertising business which has enabled brands to drive awareness, consideration, and sales on our platform. The CPG Marketing team, part of the B2B side of the business, seeks to educate, excite, and accelerate CPG brand partners through world-class product marketing, channel marketing, events, content, and co-marketing.

 

About the Job

  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and management of CPG-facing CRM programs, including monthly newsletters, nurture campaigns, event follow-up and others via Pardot.
  • Continuously tests formats, content, and other variables to optimize CRM metrics for each B2B audience type.
  • Partner with Brand Partnership sales leaders to develop paid media lead generation and engagement strategies for each audience segment. 
  • Owns the strategy, development and execution of all paid media across paid social and paid search. 
  • Research and recommend additional marketing channels/media partners that support Brand Partnership business goals, developing a holistic growth strategy.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to support go-to-market strategies with channel marketing plans.
  • Work with events team to send email invites, and develop event follow-up campaigns to nurture leads.
  • Analyze cohort data to identify key trends and behaviors and develop targeted messaging and campaigns to drive desired outcomes.

  • Oversight of all content development for B2B marketing channels, including working with creative teams and agencies on production/asset development and copy-writing
  • Oversee external paid media agency relationships

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have 6-8+ years of experience in a relevant role including partner marketing, product marketing, sales enablement or relevant.
  • You have hands-on experience building sales collateral, customer facing materials, sales presentations, pitch decks and narratives
  • You are fluent in Google slides, sheets & docs & and have experience working with design tools like Canva, Figma or Adobe
  • You have experience managing large scale initiatives (teams of 150+) and have implemented processes that drive efficient outcomes
  • You have executive presence, understand marketing concepts, and can articulate them to a broad set of audiences
  • You enjoy working with external audiences and have strong communication skills
  • You excel at managing initiatives across multiple stakeholders and can identify solutions that balance the requirements of each
  • You are a self-starter with the ability to navigate through ambiguous situations
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • You’re a team player and love making an impact each day

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lead and develop a cohesive team to achieve outstanding results.  
  • Lead teams responsible for accounting for corporate accounting functions -  GL, fixed assets, leasing, treasury accounting, SBC, consolidations and reporting  
  • Act as the Company’s subject matter expert on the consolidations process, foreign currency issues, operationalizing M&A, and Chart of Accounts (COA)
  • Proactively lead and/or perform period-end closing and operational activities in accordance with US GAAP standards
  • Partner with cross functional teams to deliver timely and accurate consolidated financials and internal reports
  • Ensure the Company’s Financial Accounting policies are consistent with GAAP and are updated to address changes in business practices and products
  • Monitor completion of controls company-wide and manage escalation process with business partners

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience; 5+ years in a management role
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of SEC Guidance and GAAP, specifically ASC-830 (Foreign Currency), ASC-805 (Business Combinations), and ASC-718 (Stock Compensation)
  • Experience leading the consolidations process for a publicly traded company
  • Experience in a fast paced, growth organization

Our Market Strategy & Planning team is responsible for powering the vision of Instacart’s commercial organization. We shape our strategy for building partnerships across retail, growth, and product ecosystems. Our team: 

  • Works closely with our Partnerships teams to identify and prioritize new business opportunities,
  • Coordinates with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and other functions to define plans that work for our entire business, and

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We’re looking for a leader who will help mature our tooling ecosystem, with a focus on craft, quality, and driving consistency across our experiences.  As a Product Design Manager, you will work closely with Instacart’s cross-functional leaders to define product strategy and vision while growing and supporting a team of designers focused on turning complex problems into seamless user experiences. 

As a people leader, you’ll directly manage a team of 6, while collaborating with the broader tooling product design org of roughly ~14 designers. You’ll be responsible for contributing to an inclusive culture where we promote transparency, psychological safety, and collaboration across the design team and beyond.

With a focus on the quality of our tools, you will be responsible for your team’s adoption of, and their contributions to our new unified tooling design system. You’ll look for opportunities to drive holistic end-to-end user experiences across various initiatives in your portfolio.

The Application Process

  • Apply to the APM program by March 25, 2024.
  • If selected to move on, you will complete a take-home product challenge.
  • If your submission is selected, you will complete a series of interviews (including product sense, execution, behavioral, etc.). 
  • Candidates who are chosen to be part of the APM program are notified at the end of June. 
  • The APM program begins in early August 2024.

About the Role 

The Senior Manager I, Incentives Marketing will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of a variety of large-scale consumer incentive programs across Instacart marketing. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D (Growth Systems), Finance, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, MS&P, Consumer Marketing, and others to jointly shape these programs and drive business impact.  

The ideal candidate should be able to toggle between creating high level strategy and deep campaign analytics. They should be comfortable tackling complex and ambiguous projects and driving these projects to resolution in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills are essential, as the role involves evaluating various data sources, tracking performance metrics, and optimizing results.

 

 

About the Team 

The Incentives Marketing team is a newly formed pillar in our marketing organization and will drive a centralized vision for promotional incentives across Instacart marketing. This includes consumer-facing promotions that extend both in-app and across marketing channels (e.g. CRM, outbound paid media) for key seasonal moments, strategic initiatives, partnerships, and more. 

 

 

About the Job 

  • Manage the end-to-end design and implementation of a variety of incentive campaigns that drive business impact (e.g. revenue, customer acquisition)
  • Author and deploy a 52-week incentives calendar, including robust test and learn plan
  • Conceptualize innovative new incentive opportunities that will delight consumers and drive results
  • Leverage complex sets of data to inform incentive marketing strategy, optimize performance, and establish best practices
  • Partner with Marketing Analytics and Data Science to build reporting frameworks, continually collect insights, and monitor results 
  • Lead campaign analyses and post-mortems, ensuring that best practices are implemented for future programs.  
  • Partner with Finance on the forecasting, tracking, and management of both individual incentive campaigns and the larger annual incentives budget 
  • Collaborate with R&D (Growth Systems) to build a Product roadmap that enables new incentive campaigns, formats, capabilities, and surfaces within the Instacart app. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders on the planning and implementation of incentives across Instacart marketing. For example, partnering with our Consumer Marketing team on how incentives come to life within larger seasonal marketing campaigns. 
  • Build sales collateral that can be used by our Business Development and Ad Sales teams to drive participation in various incentive programs. This will include identifying and authoring compelling, data-driven stories, case studies, and value propositions. 

 

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a management consulting, marketing strategy, promotions/incentives, merchandising, or analytics type role
  • Analytical Skills. Strong analytical acumen. Capable of ingesting, understanding, and actioning data, however can balance this with the ability to step back from the data and draw out the right business decisions.
  • Relationship Skills.Builds strong, productive relationships with cross-functional partners and can work collaboratively
  • Flexibility & Range.Can toggle between leading strategy and tactical execution  
  • Ownership.Strong sense of accountability and can drive marketing campaigns with relative autonomy.
  • Project Management.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to plan and prioritize across a range of projects.
  • Action-Oriented.Bias for action and “doer” mentality
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with coupons and/or incentives or .e-Commerce. 
  • Experience with SQL and or Mode, or other visualization tools. 
  • MBA or advanced degree in Marketing or Analytics
