ABOUT THE ROLE

You will oversee and maintain program schedules for a variety of large complex design projects.   • Conduct Critical Path analysis and Earned Value analysis to monitor project progress.
  • Visit construction sites as required, checking the contractor's weekly/monthly schedule progress, and provide reports to the project management.
  • Effectively communicate with the team regarding schedule/progress-related matters and concerns in weekly status meetings and other schedule-related meetings.
  • Regularly perform Program Schedule QA/QC reviews.
  • Update Program Schedules/Master Schedules on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Ensure the proper use of Program-level standard codes, layouts, and reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams, department leadership, and the Program & Project Controls department.

ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

CannonDesign is hiring a Remote Director of Sales

The Director of Sales will be an integral part of the Facility Optimization Solutions, LLC (FOS) team and its growth strategy moving forward. This person will be responsible for the creation and implementation of sales processes and sales infrastructure as it relates to the FOS Simplebid(R) Program. Working in partnership with the Head of Sales & Marketing, the role will be primarily focused on building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities and successfully advancing them through the (newly developed) sales cycle. FOS is moving to a new CRM which will require extensive knowledge of software sales and forecasting methodologies to ensure it is built to meet our specific needs and requirements. Providing exceptional leadership qualities to drive the sales team to achieve sales goals and expectations will be critical for the company in 2024. Given that Simplebid program is still in its infancy, this role will need to be flexible, highly motivated, and willing to wear multiple hats until we can establish the foundation for scalability across the Sales organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute effective sales engineering methodologies using pre-qualification experience and presentation skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

At CannonDesign we believe in leveraging data-driven solutions throughout our projects to improve outcomes. Our integrated BIM environment enables this process.  The digital technology manager is responsible for ensuring the digital health and delivery of the project or program. While this role requires technology expertise, the driving need of this role is to provide a strategic understanding of how technology (both new and existing) can be best leveraged on large complex projects. This involves being part of the project from the RFP phases (recognizing any digital requirements or opportunities to advance technology), to being part of the capture and contract phase (to recognize any onerous digital requirements or capitalize on technology capabilities) through the digital planning of the design, execution and delivery phase of the project or program.

 
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Identifying and being responsible for the digital requirements on a project, typically including BIM strategies, specifications, data requirements, any advanced model delivery as well as any advanced use of technology on the project. This would include working with senior project leadership, clients and key project partners to understand, develop and review contractual documentation such as E203, G201, G202 and BIM Execution Plans.
  • Working with the Design Technology team to identify best practices and standard workflows as well as new strategies and tools and defining the how they will be utilized on large programs and ensuring that they are executed on the project.
  • Based on project specific needs either adopt CannonDesign processes and protocols or develop the needed enhancements to satisfy the project requirements and lead development or training on processes.
  • Establishing and leading recurring technology related meetings such as client BIM engagement meetings, contractor BIM coordination, clash detection sessions or digitally enabled design review sessions as needed.
  • Depending on the size of the project/program, leading a team of model managers and BIM specialists to ensure that the digital delivery is cohesive and standardized across the program delivery mechanisms. This includes regular model audits and creating optimization strategies to keep our teams productive.
  • Partnering with consultants and our clients to ensure that the digital health of the models is maintained, and digital collaboration is supported as needed.
  • Responsible for identifying additional technology opportunities to be leveraged on the project, leading to better client outcomes and advancing firm expertise. The digital technology manager, in partnership with the Design Technology team, be responsible for the successful rollout of these new technologies on the project.

  • Monitor overall project metrics, including Deltek Practice Metrics and CA metrics, to ensure project success.

  • Meet with project team members on a regular basis to monitor work in progress and ensure that the firm’s process standards and procedures are being implemented.

The successful candidate will participate in the development of interior design solutions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team through all project phases; programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Participate and provide guidance in the planning effort to assure furniture layout is appropriate to the room proportions and functional assumptions
  • Complete the specifications for all sections related to furniture, and update budgets as required
  • Create furniture plans for assigned Project areas in a format compatible with the design team's documents. Furniture symbols used shall approximate the size of proposed items to be used in the Project.
  • Proactively respond to construction related questions pertaining to furniture coordination.
  • Responsible for training the planning coordinator and staff on the use of furniture.
  • Research and make recommendations regarding use of furniture products, materials, and systems
  • Assist with the documentation of a preliminary project budget and the budget assumptions related to furniture.
  • Ability to lead and communicate with internal project team members as well as Owner team members.
  • Assist with the generation of a furniture project timeline and how that timeline meshes with the interior design timeline; update as required.
  • Ability to create presentations for User Groups and Owners.
  • Be available to travel for projects up to 50% of the work week if required.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor or Master in Interior Design or Interior Architecture or non-professional Bachelor degree within a school offering an NAAB accredited degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required.
  • Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
  • Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Travel as required.
