Position Details

We're looking for a senior full stack software engineer to join us full-time, locally and/or in a remote capacity. This is a unique and exciting opportunity as we continue to expand the footprint of our groundbreaking, all-in-one cybersecurity platform. Every team member is a valuable contributor to our core SaaS product with day-to-day responsibilities covering a variety of development needs including building, maintaining, QA, and support for every aspect of the Defendify platform.

We are looking for a team player who:

  • Loves building SaaS products and platforms, and has the stripes to show they've done it before successfully.
  • Has a passion for solving problems and is eager to grow, learn, and tackle daily and long-term challenges and goals.
  • Will dig in and ask questions from users to understand requirements; make a plan; dive into an existing codebase and learn where to make changes, or where to start new code.
  • Is a good communicator who enjoys collaboration and thrives in a development culture that values clean code, automation and testability.
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of how modern web applications work, including REST API usage, application security, cloud deployment and development best practices.
  • Is comfortable self-directing their own work. No micro-management here!

Requirements – Experience

  • 5+ years of full stack development experience (back to front).
  • Has been responsible for the entire lifecycle of code in multiple projects, from scratch to QA to deployment to maintenance.
  • Has experience implementing a RESTful API and an application which consumes it.
  • Is familiar with the philosophy and implementation of development automation: tests, continuous integration, cloud deployment, and frequent production releases using an Agile/SCRUM process.
  • Some DevOps experience is required.

Requirements – Technical

  • Experienced in JavaScript including ES6, await/async, linting and front-end frameworks. We use libraries and frameworks as needed, but you need to be able to write and understand plain JS. Experience with Node and Browser based environments is required.
  • Understands REST APIs and their role in application architectures. Has used and built APIs from the ground up.
  • Experience with front end development: HTML, CSS, and familiarity with the ecosystem of related technologies (SASS, DOM). In addition, Vue (or similar framework) experience and knowledge of static site generators such as Jekyll/Hugo are helpful.
  • Some relational database experience is required. Pluses include: Experiences in relational and in-memory databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis) as well as knowledge in generic SQL.
  • Understand how to use Git(+Hub) and GitHub Flow.
  • Some experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Heroku, or similar services.

This Quality Assurance Team Manager will serve as a member of the Quality Assurance team. The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Manager is to lead a team of QA members in performance management, SMART goal creation, and team meetings with collaborations between QA and Business Development and partnering with Operations; all designed to strategically place Paul Davis at the top of each carrier’s score card. Work standards for the Manager and the team are focused on accuracy, speed, and customer service. The QA Team Manager will support the team with claim management escalations and oversight.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities


• Recruits, onboards, and trains new QA team members
• Completes monthly meetings with team members for performance coaching and management
• Completes monthly Goal Setting & Review (GS&R) Meetings with team members focusing on
continuous improvement
• Supports team members’ growth with creation of SMART Goals and development paths
• Facilitates and conducts team calibration meetings
• Assists with coordination of claims, reviews of mitigation, contents, and reconstruction estimates, and
estimating through the FAST Program as needed
• Communicates effectively with direct reports, supervisor, franchisees, and insurance carrier partners
• Provides trend analysis of internal performance to supervisor and participates in problem solving
sessions to address gaps
• Partners with Account Management and Business Development VPs on specific accounts to review
carrier scorecards and creation action plans, where necessary, to improve ranking
• Provides updates to Operations team when escalations are necessary, based on franchise
responsiveness and performance
• Creates opportunities for team building through engaging meetings and events, strengthening the
cohesiveness of the team, and creating the opportunity for a high level of support to the network

Required Education and Experience


• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in insurance claims or related field

• 3 plus years’ experience with personnel management or coaching

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience serving in a customer service role
• 5 plus years’ experience in the restoration industry regarding water mitigation, mold remediation, lead
and asbestos abatement, contents cleaning, contents packing, structure cleaning, and reconstruction.
• 5 plus years’ personnel management or coaching experience

The Opportunity:

Manage consulting assignments and technical escalations, as well work closely with HQ teams for our Incapsula Cloud and SecureSphere products (Dev, QA, Security, Sr. Management) in order to get issues resolved. You will become a technical authority of Incapsula Cloud and SecureSphere WAF and DAM technologies, while constantly improving best practices for solutions and services: DDoS protection - infrastructure, DNS and cloud-based application services, Website security, CDN, Load Balancing, and SIEM integrations.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Support the Imperva cloud and on-premise security product deployments for assigned accounts.
  • Act as a primary, single point-of-contact for assigned accounts.
  • Keep customer teams up to date via ongoing status about onboarding, configuration, and tuning efforts, cases, feature requests (RFEs) and current news from the field on the latest security trends and developments as well as product release notes.
  • Perform quarterly systems health checks and service reviews.
  • Become a champion by accelerating case closures or increasing visibility on pain points with their deployments. Work with customers, partners, customer account teams and other internal Imperva teams to reach timely resolutions.
  • Create and deepen customer relationships by performing on-site customer.
  • Analyze customer data such as case trends, traffic, alert and attack information to make solid recommendations for improving systems health and overall security posture.
  • Assessing the customer’s technical environment and requirements while managing expectations and following through on solutions or consulting on deployments. Required Technical Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Technical Support (tier 2-3) role.
  • Documented experience as Technical Account Manager, or Pre/Post Sales background within the web/network/information security industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Cloud, Security or Network related products.

Qualifications

  • Excellent primary programming language skills.

  • 8+ years of experience in the production of high-scalability online services. Domain doesn't have to be video games as long as user numbers are high: scale matters above all else.
  • Have been involved in at least 1 or 2 shipped products or services from start to end including LiveOps.
  • Other relevant domains to look into: content distribution, ad-tech, news, mobile gaming, finance.
  • FAANG (or adjacent) experience is highly sought after.
  • Strong knowledge with Docker, Kubernetes and at least one cloud-native environment (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Responsibilities

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback to UI/UX designers.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the UI/UX team.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and maintain a consistent design approach across various product elements.

The Opportunity

Be a hero to our engineering teams! Main responsibilities include:

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role will meet the following qualifications:

  • · Proven experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant, systems at scale in a cost effective manner
  • · Strong understanding of how to secure AWS environments and meet compliance requirements
  • · Deep understanding of AWS products (IAM, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, NoSQL data stores, Lambda, auto-scaling, EC2, EKS and containerization/clustering)
  • · Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code with Terraform, Pulumi, or comparable technology

  • · Proven experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (e.g. Serverless, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in the Hims & Hers customer journey. The Manager, MarTech Operations will be a power user of our Marketing Automation Platform, Braze, and will be responsible for discovery, documentation, development, QA, monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, and supporting complex customer journeys for our Lifecycle Management Team.  You will do this across multiple channels including email, SMS, push, web, in-app, and potentially expand into other channels like direct mail. You’ll also work with cross-functional partners in product and engineering to design, request, and troubleshoot technical data streams.

You Will:

  • Own CRM QA, platform housekeeping, as well as deployment and execution of priority campaigns
  • Collaborate with lifecycle managers and data teams to ensure marketing journeys are operational and successful, and take immediate action in case of failures
  • Assist with architecture and technical evaluation for customer communication solutions
  • Adhere to best practices while continuously seeking process improvements
  • Create, maintain, and refine detailed documentation and SOPs including operational processes, workflows, and training documents
  • Seek opportunities to keep our platforms orderly and improve operational efficiencies

You Have:

  • 3+ years B2C, DTC industry experience
  • Experience with Top Tier ESP’s (Braze is a Critical Success)
  • Experience in highly regulated industries a plus, i.e. Healthcare, insurance, banking
  • Ability to work across different teams, platforms, languages, systems, etc. 
  • Solid track record of implementing large-scale, complex B2C email/SMS/push campaigns
  • Understanding event streams, customer actions, and user profiles
