Job Description

Mission:

The Coldfusion Engineer is responsible for developing internal and external data-driven web based applications based on specifications from a project manager. This individual will also work with the project manager and QA Analyst to debug the code, put the code into production, maintain the code during its complete lifecycle, as well as go into as existing code base, understand the inter-workings of that code, troubleshoot bugs, and add new features to that code. The applications will be developed in ColdFusion, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and built on an Oracle database. This individual will work closely with the senior web application engineer as well as the other technology professionals and project stakeholders.

  • Develop new features in ColdFusion / MS SQL Server
  • Develop front-end in React front-end of a ColdFusion driven backend
  • Maintain current documentation for all applications supported by the developer
  • Write and debug Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across our web properties, internal applications, and systems as reported or experienced.
  • Provide expertise to influence project, initiative, and maintenance technical direction during discovery, planning, and implementation stages.

Qualifications

  • This position is player/coach and we are targeting someone with 2+ years of experience managing a small team of developers. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalency in a computer science related field required
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role working on web-based products.
  • Strong knowledge of ColdFusion required
  • MVC Framework knowledge very beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of SQL required
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript beneficial

A Manager, QA Automation in Brightcove’s Global Services team is adept at designing, building, running, documenting, and maintaining a robust set of test automation presenting technical solutions to address customer and prospect business requirements. We are looking for someone who is passionate about media and video who can take leadership in building and expanding the QA automation discipline within the group. Job Responsibilities

  • Work in an agile environment with a team of engineers to create new products and services and enhance existing solutions and workflows
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases for OTT media streaming platforms while prioritizing testing activities.
  • Execute automated test cases and report results both locally and through remote automation pipelines
  • Create new automation frameworks from scratch to handle new upcoming technologies

Qualifications/Experience

  • 8+ years of front-end software test automation experience working with Javascript

Qualifications

Our engineering teams are collocated around some business features and sub-domains of our complex product.   4. Cooperate with the Central QA team

 

Working within the team to deliver projects

  • Cooperate with the team during the whole project life-cycle and be responsible for assuring the quality of the delivered solution.
  • Perform manual E2E testing (UI, API) of delivered features.
  • Automate test scenarios (UI, API) and build test suites for future regression testing.

Improve QA strategy in the team

  • Help the team to adopt the idea of continuous testing.
  • Ensure we track, classify, and manage defects found during development or production.
  • Bring new ideas and principles (like performance API testing, contract testing, …), evaluate their benefits and adapt them to QA strategy.
  • Ensure all team members understand what testing layers we have and how they can use them during development to assure quality.

Maintain test scenarios and test suites

  • Make sure we do have reasonable test suites for critical features.
  • Regular monitoring and debugging of existing automated tests (UI, API).
  • Evaluation of test results, reporting possible issues and proactively improving the stability and reliability of our tests. 

Cooperate with the Central QA team

  • Share best practices and ideas with the Central QA team (both directions)
  • Make sure the engineering team is following the overall QA strategy.
  • Be an active member of our QA community. 

 

Your success story will be:

  • In 30 days, you will participate in projects as a QA engineer and ensure the quality of delivered solutions with help from the Central QA team.
  • In 90 days, you will manage test scenarios and test cases of main features, and you will be able to automate some of them.
  • In 180 days, you will be able to come up with ideas on how to improve QA strategy in a team. 

 

You have the following experience and qualities:

  1. Professional— professional experience in Quality Assurance, including test automation
  2. Personal— independence, pro-activity and can-do attitude; and fluency in English

 

Professional experience

  • You have experience with Quality Assurance in software engineering, ideally from a cross-functional team (mix of software engineers and QA engineers).
  • You can automate tests (UI or API) and ideally have some knowledge of JavaScript, Python or Go.
  • Ideally, you should be familiar with API testing (manual and automated), API performance testing, and mocking servers. 
  • Familiar with Continuous Testing, Lean, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD principles and tools like Jira and GitLab.
  • Knowledge and experience with tools like Selenium, Cypress, PostMan, K6, and LambdaTest, MockServer are also welcomed.

 

Personal qualities

  • Pro-activity during problem-solving and learning new things and principles.
  • Can-do attitude - confident and willing to deal with problems or new tasks.
  • Independence and self-organization to navigate you through ambiguous situations.
  • Fluency in English and exceptional communication skills for leading your team.

Wurk is hiring a Remote HR Implementation Specialist

The Human Resources (HR) Implementation Specialist participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support) under the direction of the Project Manager and may lead one or more activities. Project responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the UKG Ready solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to Associate Consultants, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager. This role will entail configuring HR Core, Performance Management, Compensation Management, Applicant Tracking, and Employee Onboarding and system forms/workflow configuration. This role also supports Benefits Open Enrollment and annual ACA filing.

Responsibilities

· Provide Implementation Services to Customers

· Document and validate customer’s business requirements and map to Würk functionality

· Configure the Würk application to meet customer’s documented business requirements

· Conduct consulting sessions (on the phone and through video sessions) and document with meeting minutes

· Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables

· Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise

· Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users

· Work with customers to implement Würk best practices in preparation for the rollout of the Würk solution

Required Skill Sets and Experience

· Must have experience with Workforce Management (WFM) systems to be considered

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· PHR, SHRM-CP preferred

· 5+ years of experience in Workforce Management (WFM) systems implementations with a role in at least 2 of the following areas required: configuration, UAT, QA, internal/external customer rollout, or training.

· Experience in business process mapping

· Understanding of common human capital management (HCM) business practices required

· Understanding of different industries and how UKG Ready implementation best practices apply to the customer’s business practices

· Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel proficiency required

· Experience with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience with HRIS Systems

· WFM experience with one or more of the following applications preferred: SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, UKG, Workbrain/Infor, RedPrairie/JDA, Ultimate, Oracle HR/Payroll, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, ADP Workforce Now, ADP Vantage, Workday

· Ability to effectively implement an HRIS module or similar end-to-end solution

· Customer relationship acumen and experience required

· Ability to engage with multiple projects & customers at the same time and manage priorities

· Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills

· Ability to lead and facilitate customer trainings
