We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our multinational and dedicated team!

You’lltake on the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
  • Modify and improve existing systems
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives
  • Design, develop and deploy modular cloud-based systems
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
  • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
  • Interact with software engineering teams, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on their needs
  • Be part of an on-call rotation, to ensure 24x7 support to the platform.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field of cloud computing, with proven record of Azure as the main cloud provider
  • Familiarity with Terraform, GitOps, and Everything-as-Code
  • Experience with SysOps
  • Very knowledge in cloud security methods and system hardening.
  • Troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Additional bonus skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD systems
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, e.g. NewRelic
  • Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications

  • Publish Bicep scripts to create related resources for deploying the image in Azure subscriptions.
  • Open-source the repository for the component following Microsoft's open-source process.

 Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field required.

About The Position

JustFix is seeking a full-time Product Design Lead to shape the digital tools we build with tenants, tenant organizers, and legal advocates fighting displacement in NYC. Reporting to the Co-Executive Director, the Product Design Lead will have a huge impact on driving JustFix’s ambitious mission and roadmap.

The Product Design Lead will own the direction and execution of all full-stack design projects across our evolving product portfolio. From guiding generative research to producing engineering ready deliverables, you’ll be central to developing our vision for new 0→1 products and for steering long-term product iteration. You’ll be responsible for creating services and experiences that are exceptionally usable, which empower our users, and that provide pathways to real-world impact. To do this you’ll develop deep subject matter expertise in NYC’s complex housing landscape and be an integral voice in shaping our strategy.

Success in this role is defined by your ability to design best-in-class digital products, and to lead the research and design process that produce those products. The ideal candidate is a deeply collaborative teammate who thrives in a problem-solving, small team environment. We’re looking for a trusted facilitator who can coordinate work across disciplines to identify and answer questions that move our work forward. Job Responsibilities

Design Leadership (40%)

  • Own the direction and execution of all full-stack design projects.
  • Collaborate with the Co-Executive Director, staff, and external partners to contribute to a product strategy that helps us achieve our goals.
  • Facilitate generative workshops, working sessions, and design reviews that break down complex, open-ended opportunities into actionable next steps.

Design Execution (35%)

Must Haves

  • 7+ years of UX-related experience, with at least 1+ years leading 0→1 projects from discovery research through launch and iteration.
  • Highly motivated to play a lead role in shaping how technology can support New Yorkers fighting displacement to achieve healthy, affordable, stable, housing.
  • Adept at making sense of complex systems, and have a track record designing creative and simple UX solutions to tough problems.
  • Expert facilitator, and experienced leading an array of research and synthesis processes with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Clear and responsive communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working closely with engineers to identify and solve constraints.
  • History of making design decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.

You will have the opportunity to build and integrate tooling and detections, as well as investigate threats and lead incidents. As part of the larger Security organization, we make risk-informed decisions and prioritize automations to help us scale. In this role, you will help design, build, and mature our detection and response program, enabling rapid detection and effective response to threats against Fastly.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop detections and other analytics to identify threats across cloud, corporate, and edge environments
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Security Architecture, Risk Management, Compliance, and other teams to prioritize detections and delivery of other security initiatives
  • Triage and investigate security threats and lead security incidents
  • Research, evaluate, implement, and maintain a variety of custom and commercial security tools, such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), anti-phishing, and Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM)
  • Develop strategies, frameworks, designs, automations, metrics, and processes to support the maturity of the Detection and Response program
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and other detection and response documentation
  • Conduct threat hunts to discover unknown malicious activity across our environment
  • Participate in our on-call rotations
  • Mentor other team members and contribute to larger Security initiatives

What We're Looking For: 

At Fastly we value a diversity of voices. The following is not a laundry list, but to be effective in this role you should possess most of the following and an interest in learning more about the rest:

  • Experience in utilizing Splunk to include investigating threats, developing metrics and dashboards, normalizing data feeds, and integrating with other tools
  • Familiarity of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and investigating advanced threats
  • Experience in evaluating, implementing, configuring, tuning, and maintaining Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
  • Experience with at least one major public cloud infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience in effectively leading large and complex security incidents from detection to remediation
  • Familiarity with modern security frameworks and best practices, such as the MITRE ATT&CK framework and NIST CSF
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, or Rust
  • Experience with Linux administration at scale, associated intrusion/manipulation techniques, and standard methodologies for system hardening and process isolation

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these: 

  • Developed “detections-as-code”
  • Conducted threat hunts
  • Published research on detection engineering or threat intelligence
  • Developed automations to improve security operations
  • Familiarity with content delivery networks (CDN), edge cloud platforms, or other Fastly products and services

Work Hours:

This position will require you to be available during core business hours and support an on-call rotation.

Salary: 

The estimated salary range for this position is $155,370 to $194,210.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
