As the Engineering Manager for the Web Experience team, you will be tasked with the critical responsibility of balancing engineering and product needs.   • Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-throughput and high-performance APIs and client-side scripts.
  • Clarify scope and help the team to break down the projects into manageable tasks.
  • Assure engineering and quality best practices are applied throughout the development process.
  • Lead the team in continuous delivery and testing, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality.
  • Elevate team needs and guide them on how to address maintenance tasks and tasks addressing technical depth.

b. Developing your team members

  • Manage a team of people (6-10), coordinating the team to work towards a common goal, establishing a working plan, allocating resources, and assigning responsibilities.

  • Represent the team in various discussions with internal stakeholders, advocating for the team's interests and contributing to company-wide decision-making processes.

The owned area encompasses various domains such as multi-variant testing, no-code/low-code web layer design, non-blocking JavaScript and, high-performance client-side scripts, high-throughput and low-latency API, tracking user behavior on websites, delivering third-party scripts into websites, tag management, and data layer. Therefore, having experience in these areas would be beneficial.

About The Team

The Web Engineering team is responsible for defining, building, and supporting the full web experience for both Life360.com and Tile.com. This team consists of a talented group of engineers who are constantly thinking about scale, security, user experience, and performance and how it will impact the millions of customers and families that depend on our services and products. The team works on exciting growth initiatives and feature rollouts.

About the Job

You’ll be working within a close-knit team of Web engineers, all working to provide an excellent user experience on our e-comm platform and web applications. This team works closely with other engineering teams, marketers, product managers, and designers to create and maintain performant, visually appealing websites that are optimized for user retention and satisfaction. Your day to day might involve coding new features, improving site performance, supporting A/B tests from our cross functional partners, and troubleshooting issues to enhance the overall user experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the end-to-end ecommerce solution
    • Develop React UI components for our Next.js ecommerce storefront
    • Multiple storefronts and locales (localization) 
    • Support multiple payment processing integrations (Stripe, Chargebee) at checkout and order fulfillment 
    • Create and maintain custom integrations between vendor services (Product Inventory Management, Storefront, CMS, Reviews, etc)
  • Develop application components using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), provision and deploy those components  
  • Configure monitoring, alerting, and alert actions on AWS Cloudwatch
  • Configure CI/CD workflows to test, build, and deploy services 
  • Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, SEO, Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance) to design and document new features
  • Work with web testing skills and frameworks including: Automate functional tests, accessibility compliance tests, and smoke tests
  • Experience developing against RESTful Service architectures
  • On-call rotation and incident response
  • Collaborate with the wider web development team to implement features across both tile.com and life360.com

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar quantitative field or the equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience with React, NextJS and AWS (SQS, Lambdas, S3, CloudWatch)
  • Strong web testing skills, including Jest, browser testing
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment for iterative project turnarounds on mission critical systems
  • Experience with Agile Development and Scrum methodologies
  • Communicates effectively with cross-platform teammates

You’ll thrive as a Senior Software Engineer on Designer Data if you…

  • Have 5+ years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments

Reporting directly to the Director of Enterprise Sales, the Enterprise Sales Executive will be the primary pursuer of relationships and closer of deals within a territory based on your geographic state. What you’ll do

    • Run, update, and optimize our onboarding programs for our two core CS roles: Customer Success Managers and Technical Architects
    • Develop and manage our CS learning and skill development curriculums
    • Collaborate with frontline managers and executive leadership to document best practices, establish coaching frameworks and success measurements
    • Proactively engage with cross functional teams and SMEs to build and deliver world-class product and skill development trainings, content, and programs

    About you 

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in marketing SaaS, design SaaS OR an agency setting.
    • 2+ years of experience designing and facilitating online training and learning (e.g. enablement programs, peer trainings, product demonstrations, customer workshops)
    • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Webflow, marketing technology, web design, and/or web development

    • Oversee ongoing employee compensation programs, including bonuses, market reviews, biannual promotion processes, and equity refresh cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as HR, Talent, Finance, Legal, and vendors, to provide subject matter expertise, manage stock plan administration, and drive various compensation and total reward initiatives.
    • Lead the short and long-term compensation strategy and execution, including job leveling, career-pathing, attraction, retention, reward and recognition, and incentive design to support organizational objectives and employee development.

    Success in this role looks like:

    • Within the first 60 days, you have seamlessly integrated into the compensation and total rewards team, actively spearheading compensation initiatives and assuming responsibility for critical operational functions. You have also started to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders across Clover, fostering collaboration and understanding of compensation strategies. 
    • By the end of your 90-day period, you have demonstrated a deep understanding of the compensation and HR frameworks at Clover, exhibit autonomous leadership in team management and are consistently meeting both internal and external objectives.
    • By 6 months, you will be immersed and leading the redesign and implementation of key compensation programs and actively contributing to broader talent management initiatives.
    • Future success in this role will be measured through employee engagement and understanding of our compensation programs, talent retention rates, compliance audits, and feedback from peers and senior leadership, ensuring ongoing alignment of compensation strategies. Continued success in this role involves ongoing improvement of the foundational compensation framework, combined with strategic business partnership. This includes consulting with leadership up to and including the board.
