Job Description

  1. Analyzes, designs, develops, codes and implements programs in one or more programming languages, for a specific assigned software system or systems.  These may include Windows services, Class libraries and Web applications.
  2. Assesses the health and performance of software applications and use of databases.
  3. Provides appropriate research support to business and information technology groups within the organization.  Advises on options, impact on other business processes, and system priorities.
  4. Writes program specifications for individual programs.
  5. Designs, codes, tests, corrects, and documents simple programs, or scripts and assists in the implementation of software which forms part of a properly engineered information or communications system.
  6. Assists in providing accessibility, retrievability, security and protection of data in an ethical manner.
  7. Defines test conditions for given requirements. Designs test cases and creates test scripts and supporting data, working to the specifications provided. Interprets, executes and records test cases in accordance with project test plans. Analyses and reports test activities and results.
  8. Produces software builds from software source code.
  9. Conducts tests as defined in an integration test specification, records the details of any failures, and carries out fault diagnosis relating to simple failures, reporting the results of the diagnosis in a clear and concise manner.
  10. Undertakes complete design of simple applications using simple templates and tools. Assists as part of a team on design of components of larger systems.
  11. Supports integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting.
  12. Establishes, participates, and maintains relationships with business units, customers and information technology subject matter experts in order to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks, and functional/integration issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core
  • Familiar with Java is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience with database technologies (SQL Server, MongoDB)
  • 1-3 years experience preferred working with the following technologies:
  • RabbitMQ, MSMQ, Windows Services, Web Services, Microservices, Openshift, Atlassian tools: Jira, Bamboo, Octopus
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Solid expertise in software design and development concepts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qulaifications:
 

  • Prior Work or Consulting in large Enterprise/Corporate environments
  • Prior Experience using Dynatrace or managing Observability/APM solutions a major plus
  • Solid understanding of a variety of Cloud technologies and offerings such as AWS, Azure or GCP with at least expertise and/or certification in one while having an aptitude and appetite to learn others quickly.
  • Solid understanding of network topologies, routing, network security, security protocols, routing, load balancers and capacity planning
  • Solid understanding of a Container based solutions using Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes and similar products.

 

  • Outstanding communicator and writing skills a must with the ability to consult and lead multi-day meetings to assess technologies and processes.
  • Solid understanding of Application and/or Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability
  • Develop automation and repeatable processes/scripts to enable solutions that deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor Client applications is a plus
  • Solid understanding of solutions using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, GoCD, Jenkins, TFS and similar products. 
  • Solid understanding of PaaS concepts and implementations such as CloudFoundry, Kubernetes/OpenShift, or similar offerings.
     
  • Development experience with JavaScript and web development frameworks React and/or Angular.

  • High level understanding of big data design (data lake, data mesh, data warehouse) and data normalization patterns

  • Strong communication skills

The base salary hiring range for this position is $92,300 to $160,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

Afin de renforcer l'équipe Core, Talan recherche un Développeur Backend confirmé spécialisé en C# .Net et Oracle PL/SQL pour intervenir avec l'équipe en charge des services permettant aux utilisateurs de suivre leurs ordres et transactions dans l’outil ETRM. Tous les développements sont planifiés en sprint de 2 semaines dans le cadre d'une méthodologie agile complète. Nos activités quotidiennes consistent en .Net C# Winforms WPF pour 60%, Oracle PL/SQL pour 30% et DevOps build/deployment pour 10%. L'équipe est entièrement Agile et met en œuvre toutes les étapes de Scrum : rétrospective, planification, révision et standups quotidiens.

Sur le plan fonctionnel, notre groupe d'applications nécessite une interaction quotidienne avec les interlocuteurs métiers. Afin de répondre à ces attentes, vous devez avoir de bonnes capacités de communication et être autonome (Anglais requis, français hautement souhaitable).

Vous vous engagerez à livrer ces développements en fonction des contraintes et priorités métier, dans le cadre du planning défini. Vous garantirez la fiabilité, la qualité et la sécurité des logiciels mis en œuvre et leur conformité aux normes et au cadre de développement interne tels que définis par/avec le comité d'architecture.

Vous serez amené à :
