Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in microservice architectures, container and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker/OCI, Helm)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Loki, Graylog, ELK/EFK, OpenSearch)
  • Experience with databases in container deployments (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis or others)
  • Experience with other open source, cloud native technologies/concepts such as (Secret Management, Container Repositories, Ingress/Egress, Service Mesh)

The Financial Crimes Technology team at Cash App detects and reports illegal and suspicious activity on Cash App. We work globally with partners in Product, Counsel and Engineering to ensure we are providing a safe user experience for our customers while minimizing or eliminating bad activity on our platform.

We use Machine Learning and Generative AI as an important part of our toolkit. As Cash App scales, we monitor hundreds of billions of dollars in transactions across traditional payment and blockchain networks. Our machine learning systems monitor and surface suspicious activity (money laundering, illegal activity and terms of service violations) for agent review. Our systems block payments in real-time where appropriate. We use generative AI technologies to improve agent workflow and case review tools, by adding features that accelerate agent productivity and allow them to make more informed and accurate decisions. We are looking for a senior MLE that can integrate vertically into the ML sub-team and focus on building/enhancing tools, libraries, frameworks, developer environments etc. for ML modeling workflows.

This is an IC role reporting into the Data Science and ML Modeling Manager that has leadership responsibilities including driving strategic roadmaps and priorities to completion by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders.

You will:

  • Design, build and enhance batch and real-time inference services and tooling that support our ML use cases
  • Facilitate modelers on the team by unblocking access to the infrastructure/tools necessary for development including MLOps

Qualifications

You have:

Role Description

As a member of the DevOps team, you will combine software and systems engineering to help build and run large-scale, distributed and fault-tolerant systems. This is a driven, creative, and energetic team that works in a flexible and agile fashion to deliver world-class products to the education market. You will become a core contributing member to the DevOps team delivering eLearning services to over a thousand clients, comprising almost 4 million users worldwide.

What you'll be doing

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Using automation and Infrastructure as a Code (laC) to continuously improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of services deployed on AWS.
  • Performance tuning and configuration of both Linux system and application parameters supporting highly concurrent web stacks.
  • Manage infrastructure through code using configuration management and laC templating software such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Developing and depoloying infrastructure through laC pipe-lines for Cloud System Engineering group
  • Engaging with development teams on the design, deployment, capacity needs and operations of microservices, and supporting them as they transition to production.
  • Providing advanced technical support to clients via email, phone, or other methods by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding users through appropriate steps to provide the best possible customer experience.
  • Documenting procedures and knowledge base articles throughout problem resolution and architecture development processes.
  • Monitoring the availability, performance and health of production systems in support of meeting service level objectives using monitoring systems such as lcinga, New Relic,Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, CloudTrail GuardDuty, OpsGenie, and PagerDuty.
  • Participating in emergency incident response on-call rosters. Practicing blameless postmortems that lead to improvements in resiliency and reductions in alert fatigue.

Skills and Aptitudes

Successful candidates will have these required qualifications:

  • In depth experience of AWS services (RDS (Relational Database Service), EC2, Autoscaling groups, S3 ITS, Deploying Lambda, EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, WAF, NAT GW, Transit GW, ALB, etc.)
  • Analytical problem-solving methodology with an outstanding ability to communicate and document effectively
  • Minimum of three years in Linux system administration with experience automating system processes with a variety of scripting languages or equivalent skills
  • Practical experience analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale, multi-region deployments in a public cloud (i.e. AWS)
  • Practical experience with laC, Cl/CD, structured configuration such as JSON or YAML, and version control solutions (i.e. git)

En tant que Lead Développeur Microsoft Azure, vous agissez en tant que leader technique sur les projets et auprès des collaborateurs du pôle Digital de l’agence et êtes contributeur sur l’ensemble des sujets opérationnels :

  • Qualifier, analyser et conceptualiser le besoin dès la phase d’avant-vente
  • Participer aux réponses techniques, aux choix de solutions, à la définition des architectures, aux choix d’approches technologiques, à la sélection des composants Microsoft ou tiers adaptés, les soutenir
  • Concevoir, réaliser ou accompagner la mise en place des infrastructures et des architectures techniques, principalement en environnement cloud Azure
  • Réaliser des études techniques et animer des ateliers clients.
  • Réaliser les chiffrages de mise en œuvre avec pour objectif de respecter les engagements sur les délais et charges prévues en coordination avec le Chef de Projet et les interlocuteurs clients
  • Rédiger des Dossiers d’Architecture Techniques (DAT), spécifications techniques, réaliser certains développements, accompagner les tests, les recettes
  • Garantir les bonnes pratiques DevSecOps, la qualité du code, la bonne intégration des développements, la maîtrise des environnements internes ASI ou Clients.
  • Assurer les phases de mise en production et les déploiements automatisés (CI/CD). Créer et maintenir la documentation technique.
  • Animer techniquement les équipes, tutorer, évangéliser le savoir-faire
  • Réaliser une activité de veille technique et travailler avec le Responsable de Pôle la roadmap technologique de l’équipe, partager et diffuser aux collaborateurs de l’équipe

Vous avez de bonnes connaissances en développement, en architecture logicielle (Microservices-SOA, SSO, Design Patterns, SOAP, REST…) et un intérêt pour les démarches DevOps / DevSecOps et Cybersécurité.

Pour compléter votre veille technologique et méthodologique, vous aurez aussi la possibilité de participer et d'organiser des Midi’Tech, de participer à des événements et d’aller à des salons/forums pour vous tenir informé(e) des évolutions technologiques.

Qualifications

Your impact:

    • Improving existing web products, including conversion optimization, A/B tests, adding new pages, and changing the design.

    • Participating directly in discussions about new solutions and technologies, and implementing them.
    • Working closely with the product manager on a daily basis.

    About you:

    • Extensive expertise in React.js (minimum 2.5+ years of experience), Next.js (minimum 1 year of experience);
    • Profound knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, leveraging best practices;
    • Minimum 1 year of experience with Redux;
    • HTML, CSS, and DOM API to craft pixel-perfect UIs;
