Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer -Remote to join our team. In this role, you will be supporting applications, systems, and changes to existing software or launches of new software that meet business and organizational needs. The engineer must also be comfortable looking at the source code for the services being tested to understand API usage or failure points and collaborate with senior developers to understand the services being tested.

The ideal candidate should have experience supporting the implementation of scalable, microservices solutions, including familiarity or ability to gain familiarity with various industry standards and specifications related to video advertising, content standards, and classifications.

This is a remote (in the U.S.) position and will be full-time. 

The annual base salary is $80,000 –$ 100,000. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for our full list of benefits linked here.

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Development and DevOps to build a test bed and generate test data supporting Audio/video ingest, workflows, system configurations. 
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support, enhance, and improve the efficiency of business processes. 
  • Serve as a liaison and facilitator between business units to assist in addressing and resolving issues (in collaboration with development and deployment teams and resources). 
  • Provide recommendations to help drive process improvements for quality engineering focusing on automation and regressions. 
  • Own deliverables such as, but not limited to, issues and risks logs, test strategy, test plan, scripts, automation maturity process, and communications (written and verbal) to stakeholders, including senior management and executives. 
  • Assist in user acceptance testing, documentation, and training for effective use of applications and technology. 
  • Help analyze and improve existing AWS cloud architecture, design, and delivery. 
  • Collaborate in deployment activities and conduct system integration validation. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners on current production system defects, changes, or upgrades to resolve problems and improve processes or systems. 
  • Investigate and resolve application and system functionality-related issues and aid with troubleshooting. Going the extra mile to hone into the root cause. 
  • Define, prioritize, and execute testing scope for end-to-end functional, non-functional, regression, integration, performance, regression, smoke testing. 
  • Promote the improvement of CI/CD automation and efficiency through code/scripts and process rigor. 
  • Establish open channels of communication with Engineering and Operations teams, facilitating efficient issue elevation and resolution. 
  • Manage software (SaaS) packaging and deployment. 
  • Collaborate with on & offshore coordination of all QA/QE efforts
  • Assist in Production Operations Maintenance issues and customer service support activities. 
  • Should be able to interact and interface with customers directly with minimal supervision. 
  • Serve as a champion of quality elevation for our client delivery. 

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of quality engineering/assurance / hands-on testing. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Engineering with software development and deployment experience. 
  • Experience with advertising and asset management platforms would be a plus. 
  • Prior Quality Engineering experience (helping manage multiple integrated deployment environments). 
  • Experience functioning through CI/CD pipelines and validating multiple deployment branches, while utilizing QA management toolsets and establishing best practices. 
  • Experience with software testing automation, including Continuous/ Integration/Continuous/Deployment/Delivery, DevOps, API/services, and database-level validation automation. 
  • Microservice, AWS, cloud engineering & architecture experience. 
  • Familiarity with various Software development methodologies such as SAFE/Agile.
  • Self-starter and motivated team member, strong communications, analytical, and process skills set.

Overview:

The Opportunity:

You will become a technical authority of Incapsula Cloud and SecureSphere WAF and DAM technologies, while constantly improving best practices for solutions and services: DDoS protection - infrastructure, DNS and cloud-based application services, Website security, CDN, Load Balancing, and SIEM integrations.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the Imperva cloud and on-premise security product deployments for assigned accounts.
  • Act as a primary, single point-of-contact for assigned accounts.
  • Keep customer teams up to date via ongoing status about onboarding, configuration, and tuning efforts, cases, feature requests (RFEs) and current news from the field on the latest security trends and developments as well as product release notes.
  •  Perform quarterly systems health checks and service reviews.
  • Become a champion by accelerating case closures or increasing visibility on pain points with their deployments. Work with customers, partners, customer account teams and other internal Imperva teams to reach timely resolutions.
  • Create and deepen customer relationships by performing on-site customer.
