As a Staff Engineer at Alto, you will join a team that is working to improve patients' lives through a better pharmacy experience. A Bit About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience in a production environment
  • 5+ years of experience working with frontend and mobile technologies
  • Experience with high quality microservices architectures
  • Expertise in architecting complex systems for long-term maintainability, performance, and scalability
  • Drive to build Proof of Concepts boldly leveraging new technologies that give outsized returns for our customers

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and maintain a growth mindset
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving that’s biased towards impact

Salary Range: $192,000 - $240,000

What you'll do

What you have

What You'll Do

We are looking for a strong leader to join our team as part of the Finance & Business Operations Organization. As a key team member of a high-visibility organization, this role will provide both technical and operational support to Cloudflare’s Global Commissions Tooling & Strategy. 

Locations: Remote US & Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Support Strategic Direction, Product Vision, Customer Discovery, Feature Prioritization & Cross-functional alignment for Cloudflare’s Commission Tech Stack
  • Identify & implement leading practice architecture and build techniques, optimizing for scalability, useability, flexibility and analytical intelligence
  • Coordinate managed services resources, leveraging them to execute and implement builds, enhancements and testing, eventually taking ownership once the solution is functionally complete.
  • Support the implementation of  robust and thorough change management processes and  testing framework
  • Employ a ‘business-focused’ approach to technical work; learn, understand and speak the language of key stakeholders and business partners
  • Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications.
  • Review and analyze application performance, to provide enhancement recommendations and process improvements.
  • Provide risk assessment for new functionality and enhancements.
  • Build extensive solution / process documentation and enablement infrastructure, scaling consistent practices, documentation and desktop procedures for tool functionality
  • Build deep knowledge around and leverage relationships to influence outcomes and prioritization of upstream system enhancements which directly impact ICM practice (eg. HCM, CRM, etc.)
  • Support the implementation of appropriate SOX Controls, partnering closely with the Controllership and Internal Audit Organizations

About You:

  • 8+ years of Product Management, Technical Project Management, Consulting, or Incentive Compensation Administration; experience with a Saas business model preferred
  • Firm grasp of the commission administrative process flow, including plan document distribution and tracking; transaction crediting; incentive calculations; payment file preparation; and issue resolution  
  • Experience or understanding of commissions-specific SOX Controls
  • Experience with Varicent, Anaplan ICM, Xactly, Calidus or a similar ICM tool
  • Experience with SQL platforms and queries
  • Preferred: Familiarity with services such as EC2 and S3 and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets; coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Perl, Java, etc)
  • Communication: Clear, concise communicator; ability to synthesize complex data or business problems into actionable information to drive results
  • Versatility: Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, zooming in with good attention to detail while still keeping the big picture in mind

Compensation and Benefits

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. Job Description

As a Systems Architect for QAD, you will be responsible for the design, description and managing the development of solutions to support our client's business strategies.  You’ll be leading and/or supporting initiatives and introducing technical visions for a solution within the Enterprise Architecture Framework. 

You will work within the Observability/Engineering team to design, implement, enhance and maintain current and future QAD products and tools. You’ll perform software architecting and engineering functions and mentor junior software engineers as well as assist management with preparation of documents and materials related to project planning, architecting documenting and scheduling, etc. 

You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure the sound development and implementation of software solutions.  You will also facilitate resolution of conflicts that arise during the development lifecycle through effective partnership with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Optionally you’ll lead projects from initial idea through deployment, including the beta and alpha phases of a product deployment and you’ll stay abreast of new technologies to ensure QAD offerings are as current as possible.

This is a fully remote opportunity, based in India.

Note: The role will require the person to support in EMEA shifts ( 1 pm IST to 11 pm IST - any 9 hour shift)

Responsibilties:

  • Analyze, develop, enhance and maintain software applications/products and tools. Includes creation of design specification, development and unit testing of source code, review of source code, schema design, prototyping, helping other developers understand designs, and documentation. 

  • Create automation tools to improve internal processes.

  • Manage and enhance processes used for continuous integration, automated builds, source code control and test environment set-up. 

  • Review and identify improvement opportunities within the full SDLC that will lead to higher quality and more efficient processes. 

  • Document and communicate areas of concern for development operations.

  • Serve as a source of architectural and technical domain knowledge for the QAD product line and the tools that support it. 

  • Provide training/mentoring to O&M and A&E engineers. 

  • Lead rollout of new solutions to the Observability and Engineering teams. 

  • Review solutions that will be rolled out and its corresponding project documents of other teams to provide feedback.

  • Perform analysis of business and customer requirements to determine product specifications and ensure that solutions conform to current industry standards. 

  • Identify and implement best practices.  

  • Work with management to evolve software architecture based on evolving system requirements and industry trends and technologies.

  • Assist IT, Observability and Engineering with resolving customer issues involving integration, performance, deployment or any other issues that negatively impact the user experience.

 

Qualifications

  • Professional degree: BE/ B Tech/ MCA/BSC-IT, Computer Science.

  • 1-3  years of Architecture and Engineering experience. Infrastructure and administration with focus on Linux

  • Python, BASH, Powershell experience is mandatory. 

  • Preferred Experience: Ansible Tower, CI/CD, Terrafom, Jenkins

  • Preferable: Icinga, Zabbix, CloudWatch, Salt, Rundeck, C#, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, PHP and XML

  • Driving through customer strategies in often complex, mixed technology environments.

  • Balancing technological and business solutions to address client needs.

  • Defining features, requirements and development phases against which delivery must be made.

  • Developing solution specifications in line with business strategies and appropriate frameworks. 

  • Integration Architectures and incorporating how solutions can be integrated and interact within one another.

  • Business Architecture and how the analysis of the current business operating model will be impacted by change, which is driving the need for solution design. 

  • Process improvement and or new process development are also a key area.
