What are we looking for?

ScienceLogic is looking for an ambitious engineer who possesses strong customer facing skills. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for working with both the engineering team and pre-sales field teams to drive rapid deployment, integration and successful adoption of a suite of new AI features. This is a very hands-on role which will involve a mixture of coding, scripting, testing and data wrangling across multiple technologies. You will be an integral part in helping ScienceLogic a leading-edge, AI-first monitoring AIOps platform that will eclipse what other AIOps and observability vendors offer.

 

What you'll be doing... 

As the Customer Engagement Engineer, you'll resonate with and embody our core values:

  • Onboarding new customer deployments on-premise with Kubernetes
  • SRE for SaaS Multi-tenant production deployments
  • When required, help SEs with demos/POCs, and help troubleshoot customer infrastructure and application issues that impact Zebrium outcomes.

Qualities you possess... 

  • Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/SRE roles in large scale environments.
  • Experience operating cloud native production services on AWS with Kubernetes

  • Expert level Kubernetes ingress, storage, networking configuration, troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Ability to debug complex configuration/operational issues in Kubernetes.
  • Expert level Helm chart deign, configuration and troubleshooting.

About the Role

We are looking for an audio and video channel expert who has had experience working across OTT, CTV, Linear, traditional and digital audio channels. The ideal candidate is energetic and a self-starter willing to dig in and partner with agencies and internal stakeholders to improve the execution and efficiencies of these audio and video programs. They can ramp up quickly and work effectively with little oversight and prioritize and manage their own work, clearly tying it to the goals of the larger team, and the business as a whole. If you are a highly driven and creative marketing professional that is looking to build a breadth of expertise across performance and media marketing disciplines - this is the right role for you. 

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Management - Own the optimization and day-to-day management of some of our core digital media channels - bid & budget management, target audience development & refinement, trafficking & operations, and creative iteration.
  • Process Automation - Identify opportunities to automate processes, working with product, engineering, and analytics teams to build in-house paid marketing tools (e.x. audience automation, creative optimization, campaign building, performance reporting, and forecasting). Develop an effective optimization process to quickly identify and respond to changes in performance
  • Data Analysis -Pull and analyze reports to extract insights and transform those insights into actionable changes that will improve performance. Work closely with the Analytics team to understand the performance of campaigns and tests; develop dashboards to monitor performance over time. Work with measurement partners to constantly evaluate channel incrementality and cost curves.
  • Creative- Partner with the brand and creative teams to concept, produce, refine, and iterate thumb-stopping performance branding creative that tells our brand story while achieving KPIs
  • Vendor Management -Partner with agencies, account partners, and other relevant vendors to monitor performance, explore new platform opportunities, secure access to beta features, and provide value to other Thumbtack teams.

About the MarTech Team 

Marketing Tech is a critical team at Thumbtack overseeing and optimizing millions of marketing spend and is directly responsible for driving our company’s top line revenue growth. As part of this team, you’d get to work on a wide range of Marketing lanes such as paid (SEM, Social, Streaming Media, etc) as well as organic (SEO, Engagement and Lifecycle Marketing, etc) and have an outsized impact on our broader marketing efforts. 

Challenge

Thumbtack is early in the journey of building out the marketing tech stack.  This unique role (reporting into the Marketing Tech engineering team) will help develop and build the vision of incorporating data more fully into marketing at Thumbtack, while both designing and modeling datasets collaboratively with our cross functional team, and also getting one’s hands dirty using a modern data stack. Thumbtack fosters a very collaborative culture of builders, and as such, you’d help set the data architecture, be hands on in building our datasets and mentor engineers as we go.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively refine and evangelize a comprehensive framework for integrating data-thinking into the software development lifecycle for marketing
  • Design, architect, and maintain core marketing datasets, data marts, and feature stores that support a blend of mature products and features with a rapidly evolving product line, in partnership with analytics, data science, and machine learning
  • Integrate with teams consisting of product engineers, analysts, data scientists, machine learning engineers throughout marketing to understand their data needs, and help design datasets with the same engineering rigor as any other software we design
  • Drive data quality and best practices across marketing and business areas
  • Help build the next generation of marketing data products at Thumbtack, based on real-time data products on top of Apache Kafka

What you’ll need

  • 8 or more years of experience designing and building data sets and warehouses
  • Excellent ability to understand the needs of and collaborate with stakeholders in other functions, especially Analytics, and identify opportunities for process improvements across teams
  • Expertise in SQL for analytics/reporting/business intelligence and also for building SQL-based transforms inside an ETL pipeline
  • Experience designing, architecting, and maintaining a data warehouse and data marts that seamlessly stitches together data from production databases, clickstream data, and external APIs to serve multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity building the above with a modern data stack based on a cloud-native data warehouse, in our case we use BigQuery, dbt, and Apache Airflow, but a similar stack is fine
  • Strong sense of ownership and pride in your work, from ideation and requirements-gathering to project completion and maintenance

Bonus points if you have 

  • Experience in the marketing domain and third party tools like Branch, Fivetran etc. 
  • Experience building ETL data pipelines in a programming language, like Python or Scala
  • Experience using and/or configuring Business Intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, et al)
  • Understanding of database internals and query optimization
  • Experience working with semi-structured or unstructured data in a data lake or similar

The Software Engineer In Test Opportunity

The QA Core team is responsible for release based testing and validation, and developing test services that enable automation for other teams. QA Core also works closely with Release Engineering, Release Management, Technical Operations and Engineering Leadership to ensure our weekly releases across all services are completed on time and with high quality.

This is a high impact role in a key area for Okta’s continued uptime and reliability.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Analyze/refine requirements with Development and Engineering Leads Partner with Engineering Management to scope and plan test efforts design and implement robust, scalable test solutions
  • Participate effectively in a scrum team environment.
  • Manage deliverables working under minimal supervision
  • Partner with Development and Release Teams to build and execute on product infrastructure growth and high availability
  • Understand Okta’s top customers usage
  • Review new changes going into test and staging environments
  • Ensure new changes are compatible with existing customer deployments and usage; develop new test services focused on release readiness and validation.
  • Understand and monitor customer usage patterns and translate them into test requirements for automated or manual testing.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end/system test plan.
  • Set up and maintain test configurations for end-to-end/system testing.
  • Prioritize and ensure that these patterns continue to function for every weekly release in our test and staging environments.
  • Review new changes going into test and staging environments.
  • Ensure that new changes are compatible with existing customer deployments and usage. Support the QA efforts of our software deployment and release teams.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 2+ years experience in software QA with a focus on release based testing.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a SaaS based environment
  •  2+ Experience working on both server and client side of device technology
  •  2+ Experience with some of the following technologies and services:
    • Selenium (preferably with Java) 
    • TestNG
    • Log management tools (Splunk/Sumologic/Kibana)
    • Docker, Kubernetes
  • 2 years of experience writing SQL, and testing or building out integrated scenarios
  • 2 years of experience with Java-based test automation development
  • 2 years of experience with developing and executing end to end or system test plans
  • 2 years of experience setting up and maintaining test configurations and lab environments

 

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following! 

  • B.S. or M.S. in Comp Sci, Comp Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related technical field
  • 2 - 5 years of experience as a quality engineer or software engineer

Our Sales Engineering organization is seeking a Principal Data Platform Architect focused in Data Apps to join our Field CTO Office who can provide leadership in working with both technical and business executives in the design and architecture of the Snowflake Cloud Data Platform as a critical component of their enterprise data architecture and overall ecosystem.

In this role you will work with sales teams, product management, and technology partners to leverage best practices and reference architectures highlighting Snowflake’s Cloud Data Platform as a core technology enabling platform for the emerging Data Application workload throughout an organization.

As a Principal Data Platform Architect focused in Data Apps, you must share our passion and vision in helping our customers and partners drive faster time to insight through Snowflake’s Cloud Data Platform, thrive in a dynamic environment, and have the flexibility and willingness to jump in and get things done. You are equally comfortable in both a business and technical context, interacting with executives and talking shop with technical audiences. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL GET TO: 

  • Apply your data application architecture expertise while presenting Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at strategic prospects, customers, and partners
  • Work with our product management, partners, and sales teams in order to drive innovation in our Cloud Data Platform 
  • Partner with sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of our customers,  strategize on how to navigate and accelerate winning sales cycles, provide compelling value-based enterprise architecture deliverables and working sessions to ensure customers are set up for success operationally, and support strategic enterprise pilots / proof-of-concepts 
  • Collaborate closely with our Product team to effectively influence the Cloud Data Platform product roadmaps based on field team and customer feedback
  • Partner with Product Marketing teams to  spread awareness and support pipeline building via customer roundtables,  conferences, events, blogs, webinars, and whitepapers
  • Contribute to the creation of reference architectures, blueprints, best practices, etc. based on field experience to continue to up-level and enable our internal stakeholders and Snowflake Powered by Program

ON DAY ONE, WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: 

  • 10+ years of full stack application architecture experience with a deep understanding of how to scale applications with large data sets
  • 3+ years of Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) customer facing application development experience
  • 1+ years of Snowflake experience
  • 2+ years of experience in building/utilizing various data connectivity tools like connectors & drivers which enable access to a library of data sources.
  • Outstanding presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos
  • Broad range of experience with on-prem and/or cloud databases
  • Experience with decomposing application components and determining how to leverage various technologies found with modern cloud services.
  • Knowledge of SQL, and Javascript, Python, Java, Scala, Go, Ruby or other languages
  • Knowledge of platform and container technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Knowledge of data formats or languages that manage data, including SQL, JSON, AVRO, Apache Parquet or XML
  • Experience with Open Data table formats like Iceberg and data processing engine like Spark is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred

  • Be the subject matter expert for one to two product domains within Abarca.
  • Create, update, enhance, or refine business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile framework.
  • Assist and partner with other Product Owners and Product Managers in solving business needs through collaborative product feature enhancements.
  • Gather requirements with internal clients and technology teams to solve complex business needs and translate ideas into requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners, SMEs, Developers, and Testers to ensure a shared understanding of business requirements.
  • Determine feasibility of business requirements and recommend changes to support business needs and processes.
  • Assist in analyzing business solution options by evaluating current system processes and identify possible solution options for new functionality or modifications to existing functionality.
  • Provide support of your product domain in research, analysis and troubleshooting related to your products.
  • Provide input and engage in setting priorities to define a product roadmap working with other product owners and product managers.
  • Understand the products that you own and how they interact upstream and downstream within the product ecosystem.
  • Ensure that system solution options are thoroughly researched, analyzed, and documented.
  • Develops acceptance criteria and leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts to ensure the product meets the needs of the business.
  • Provide support to Applications Development through participation in Design Reviews.
  • Project estimates and resource plans for systems solutions.

What we expect of you:

The bold requirements…

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a related area (In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.)
  • 3+ years of experience as a product owner, product analyst or in roles associated and/or collaborating with product management within an Agile SDLC environment
  • Experience in client facing tasks, facilitating meetings, and setting priorities.
  • Experience leveraging and utilize SQL, business intelligence and associated data analysis tools.
  • Experience in developing roadmaps, managing product questions, vendor management, leading meetings and, developing technical product documentation.
  • Experience collaborating an agile and scrum environment and with associated SDLC toolsets (example: DevOps, Jira, etc.).
  • Experience developing and documenting acceptance criteria and user stories.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to haves…

  • Scrum Certified Product Owner or Product Strategy Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Experience with project management and/or process improvement.

  • Experience with business intelligence solutions to create ad-hoc queries & reports to support analysis.
  • Experience with Healthcare, Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Benefit industries, Medicare Part D, and CMS regulations, NCPDPD standards and/or HIMSS.
  • Experience UX and/or Human Centered Design.

You will be an integral part of our US-based attribution modeling capabilities. This role will be responsible for leveraging data science techniques to examine marketing activities and to estimate their business impact to our clients. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Machine learning based attribution or television attribution preferred
  • Experience working with and measuring TV, digital media, and CRM data
  • Deep knowledge of statistics/data science, including regression, hierarchical or mixed regression, and machine learning techniques (Naïve Bayes, Markov Chain, Random Forest etc.)
  • Advanced modeling skills with Python and R
  • Cloud environment experience, especially GCP and AWS
  • Experience working with platforms like Databricks a plus, SQL preferred

  • MMM experience a plus
  • Understand marketing objectives and how different media channels support these objectives
