The Solutions Architect assists in the sales process by providing detailed consultation on customer requirements, customer needs, and, most importantly, how Nextiva’s platform can improve business outcomes. This individual will work hand in hand with the sales teams, partners, prospects, and customers to ensure that all team members are aware of the design requirements. As an SA, you will participate as a technical liaison to the sales and service delivery organizations and manage requests for technical pre-sales assistance, scheduled customer discovery sessions, and solutions demonstrations. This individual will be responsible for creating and introducing solutions to the customer that will help lead the way to Closed/Won business..

The Solutions Architect is an expert who understands customer-specific needs in order to provide business-driven consulting to prospects as well as existing customers. ESA’s provide business-centric expertise that helps our Sales team establish market and deal-level visibility 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute thorough discovery of customer requirements and participation directly in sales interactions via calls and webinars
  • Develop comprehensive and creative use cases for prospective Nextiva customers
  • Present the Nextiva solution in conjunction with customer predefined requirements
  • Review quotes, RFPs, business plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare an effective response or proposal
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors in order to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales teams
  • Participate in work groups regarding custom requests and professional services for unique customer requirements
  • Develop relationships with vendors including keeping track of new information and sharing with your team
  • Develop comprehensive documentation to be leveraged in the composition of the Statement of Work for the Service Delivery Organization
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments, including Product Management, Marketing, and People Development teams
  • Ensure the solution(s) will work for the customer through demonstration and also through proof of concept (POC) or trial deployments

Communications and Presentations:

  • Must be compelling, passionate and enthusiastic speaker with communication skills of the highest caliber
  • Deliver and present comprehensive and customized product and service demonstrations in a clear and concise manner to many levels of technical skill sets and audience sizes
  • Understand customer-specific needs to provide business-driven consulting to prospective and existing customers.
  • Provide business-centric expertise that helps our Sales team establish market and deal-level visibility that resonates with prospects and customers, clearly differentiating our solutions from the competition.
  • Be regarded as an experienced operator/practitioner in the Contact Center space and is highly knowledgeable about the unique nuances of this industry.
  • Solutions Consultant/ Architect must be able to move between many key facets of the sales cycle from pre-sales engineering support to solution qualification and execution, to solution architecture and post-sale upsell.
  • The Solutions Consultant/ Architect is recognized as a credible thought leader, is confidently able to address C-level discussions, and able to help the seller effectively expand the revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years CCaaS, and/or SaaS experience and 4+ years as a Sales or Solutions Engineer
  • BS Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of  sales process, strategies and solutions selling
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with sales team, partners, vendors, prospects, and customers
  • Create, present and document technical solutions
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of Customer Service Software, Customer Relationship Software, Data Warehousing Software, Artificial Intelligence and the application of each.
  • Ability to create convincing proposals and documentation, including solution diagrams
  • Capable of completing job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity

Competencies

  • Office 365 and Google G-Suite programs and applications
  • Salesforce application knowledge preferred
  • Google Cloud certifications preferred
  • Visio and Lucidchart - network diagram tools.
  • PHP, Java, Python and other programming languages.
  • API structure and development capabilities.
  • Data Networking, SIP, Contact Center technical certifications
  • Strong experience with networking protocols, standards, and hardware
  • Legacy Contact Center platforms and modern SIP endpoints.
  • Proficiency in using hosted contact center applications
  • Travels to internal meetings and customer sites as warranted (travel estimate 20-50%)

Compensation, Rewards & Benefits:

The salary or hourly wage offered by Nextiva to external candidates considers a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, etc. Our compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. For this sales role, our estimate of the expected hiring range for the position as posted is $140,000 - $200,000; this includes annualized base salary and annualized target sales incentive. A different level in the job hierarchy apply to a specific candidate resulting in a different hiring range.

Working within the Public Safety business, you will be responsible for defining the policies and standards that guide technology delivery, possessing significant experience in modern, cloud based technology standards and practices.

As Solution Architect you are accountable for leading a team of architects and providing architectural design and technology roadmaps for complex Policing and National Security applications supporting high volume, mission critical products and services. There will also be opportunities to oversee ongoing architectural needs within our Control Room application suites.

To be successful in the role, we need someone who can mediate between people and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, particularly someone who is confident in communicating with stakeholders at all levels. Someone who understands the evolutionary nature of technology delivery in an agile environment. As you may imagine, our stakeholder expectations are high, and we'll need you to facilitate discussions about high risk and complexity even within constrained timescales.

The Solution Architect will work with the project or programme manager and the wider architecture team to:

  • ensure that scope of supply is correctly documented and maintained

  • technical project risks are identified and managed

  • ensure that any non-functional requirements from a customer are agreed and documented

  • ensure Impact assessments are practical, have well defined scope and implementation and use existing products wherever possible

  • identify opportunities for selling additional product capability.

Qualifications

The Solution Architect will manage the relationship with customer technical staff.

Provide information to help the customer address their project technical issues such as firewall settings, etc.

The Solution Architect will support the Bid process including technical responses, infrastructure sizing (mainly cloud based) and clarification support.

The role also has a focus on promotion and leadership of the architectural vision both inside the architecture team and across the wider technology and business teams.

  • Be a global thought leader within Snowflake and demonstrate best practices of running technical engagements for field teams to leverage and/or emulate in-region.
  • Partner closely with product management & product marketing to evangelize and provide feedback around the product roadmap, and participate in marquee events throughout the year.
  • Helping shape future innovations by identifying emerging trends, white-space opportunities for Snowflake, and pursuing new projects with Product and Engineering team
  • Bring clear strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills to a range of sales, services, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation that could drive value for Snowflake's customers, partnering with product, industry leads, sales, marketing, and professional services to take Industry Solutions & Technical Innovations to market - ie. industry accelerators, open source code, best practices, thought leadership.

ON DAY ONE WE WILL EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: 

  • 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering / Presales Leadership, or leading technical services teams / engagements
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture
  • Proven track record of solution selling and/or delivery experience, driving customer success in complex technical sales cycles / projects
  • Direct experience working in the Enterprise SaaS space - AI/ML, Apps, Data Science, Data Warehouse, Cloud, Analytics and/or Business Intelligence experience highly preferred 
  • Deep understanding of on-prem / cloud data platform architecture and databases
  • Broad range of experience with data platform deployments, AI/ML, enterprise applications
  • Strong executive presence, with experience in effectively translating complex technical topics to mixed technical and business audiences
  • Experience running in-person and virtual customer workshops, which practice customer-facing skills such as discovery questioning, whiteboarding, objection handling, presentation, etc.
  • Organized and able to manage and deliver multiple tasks efficiently, effectively and on time in a metrics based organization
  • Design Thinking Certification a plus
  • Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skill
  • Knowledge of SQL, and Javascript, Python, Java, Scala, Go, Ruby or other languages

About The Team:

SecurityScorecard's Solutions Architects team are trusted security advisors and business partners both internally and to prospective clients, offering deep knowledge about the market and our solution. As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with Field Sales Directors throughout the sales relationship lifecycle to build solutions to address specific customer security needs. Key to the role is communicating the value proposition of SecurityScorecard's platform and suite of solutions, positioning SecurityScorecard effectively against competing offerings. You'll also collaborate cross functionally, providing customer feedback to product teams to inform the roadmap.

Success in this role requires security and technical acumen to develop a deep understanding of SecurityScorecard's architecture and services and a consultative approach to understanding customer business needs. You'll leverage your strategic communication skills to engage in technical and business discussions with engineers and senior decision makers alike, translating customer needs into technical requirements and conveying the merit of SecurityScorecard's solutions throughout.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the domain expert on SecurityScorecard solutions throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major potential accounts
  • Perform in-depth and high-level technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
  • Maintain area or operation responsibilities for selected major account opportunities
  • Maintain product roadmaps and alignment between the customer and relevant business entities
  • Devise, present and document technical solutions
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of technical sales or pre-sales experience in cybersecurity, or as a cybersecurity practitioner who desires to grow a career in a client facing role
  • Industry recognized certifications such as a CISSP, GIAC, etc. a plus
  • Demonstrated presentation and interpersonal skills; communicate in front of large groups with a mixed audience of technical and non-technical

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000-140,000. Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests and be able to grow professionally.  As an Applaudo Solutions Architect you become the bridge between sales, operations and customer teams during the initial phases of the projects collecting information, constraints and goals to finally propose a technical solution. You are a key member of the sales team and the output of your work has an important impact on the entire organization . You will conduct detailed technical discovery workshops, assess cultural, structural and business functions with security requirements while translating these findings to a foundational solution built for scale and flexibility. The ideal candidate combines excellent technical, product and business skills to make our customers successful.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related fields  
  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, technical consultant, partner/sales/solutions engineer  
  • Experience building solutions leveraging AWS, Azure or Google Cloud technologies, with a strong background in software development for mobile platforms, cloud infrastructure or web.
  • Well versed in the agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban.
  • Excellent presentation skills for presenting both business-oriented solutions and advanced technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving thinking
  • Innovate thinking, Leadership, Organization, Networking aptitude, Attention to details skills.
  • Deep knowledge of business
  • Knowledge in software development
  • An eye for new opportunities and technologies that can benefit our customers on areas such as scalability, delivery, quality and cost.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

  • Assist the US sales, local sales team and customer relationship management team during the pre-sale and sale process of new and recurring opportunities.
  • Engage with potential customers to understand their business objectives and needs
  • Serve as a technical expert to understand customer's goals and technical
  • requirements.
  • Assist customers to plan and diagram their ideas into technical solutions through discovery sessions, technical sessions, design sprints and other workshops.
  • Deliver tailored pre-sales technical presentation to technical and non-technical
  • audiences.
  • Coordinate the effort, time and team sizing of new engagements and RFPs.
  • Assist the operations team during sales hand-off, planning and release of major milestones in projects when needed.
  • Provide the initial vision and the technical and functional requirements prior to the start of an engagement.
  • Assist on-going projects with questions related to the solution architecture
  • Conduct detailed technical discovery workshops, assess cultural, structural, business functions, and security requirements while translating these findings to a foundational solution built for scale and flexibility.
  • Advocate for best practices and pick the right technologies tailored to each solution.
  • Guide Applaudo’s Engineering and Design teams in exploring, learning, and understanding new technologies based on experience, market demand and trends.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Qualifications

Skills: 

Well versed in the agile methodology SCRUM and Kanban.  Capable of building solutions diagrams that are both highly informative and beautiful.
