ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement instructional materials, including but not limited to e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and assessments.
  • Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Develop clear learning objectives and align instructional content with desired outcomes.
  • Select appropriate instructional methods and technologies to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Ensure that instructional materials are accessible, culturally sensitive, and comply with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of instructional materials.
  • Evaluate the success of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design and adult education.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization's training and development initiatives.
  • Lead efforts with business subject matter experts for content validity to achieve desired learning outcomes

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, instructional technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as (Articulate360, Lectora, Information Mapping, Camtasia, Vyond, or similar solutions)
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

- Able to understand training needs and translate them into creative and engaging training solutions

About the role:

In this role, you will: 

  • Collaborate across teams and stakeholders, independently conducting thorough needs analysis to scope and document the requirements of learning initiatives to ensure the desired impact to business objectives within required timelines
  • Design creative and engaging training solutions across multiple Global Support functions and audiences including technical/ non-technical roles, and leadership
  • Author written course content, including instructional/facilitation guides, scripts for videos, learning activities, and assessment questions that measure and enhance retention
  • Create learning assets across a variety of media including elearn, video, audio, interactive workshops with instructor guides, hands-on learning exercises and assessments
  • Obtain feedback and sign off from stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Use data to evaluate and measure the impact of learning initiatives on business outcomes, and quickly iterate to drive continuous improvement
  • Review and provide actionable feedback to peers to enhance the quality and effectiveness of learning content

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of instructional design experience for global programs, preferably in technical or finance fields
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English & Spanish, with a specific focus on communicating complicated concepts in easy-to-understand formats, customized for each learning audience
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical skills and processes for the purpose of transferring that knowledge to others
  • Demonstrated skills creating engaging learning content in a variety of formats including elearning, video, audio, interactive assets and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving mentality, with a bias for action and delivering quantifiable results
  • Detail oriented with an eye for quality & accuracy
  • Stellar organization and project management skills, lending to the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Deep experience with Learning Management System functionality

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Advanced degree in a related education industry or equivalent work experience
  • Instructional Design or technical certifications

The Alchemy learning design team is growing! Alchemy seeks a Learning Designer who will partner with Educators to design and develop engaging and impactful learning experiences in support of the organizational needs supported by Alchemy’s offerings. The Learning Designer will utilize a creative approach to working with their SME/Educator partner by leveraging innovative learning technology solutions, a keen understanding of effective and agile design methods, and a robust technical aptitude. Role-Specific Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Instructional Design is desired.
  • Experience working directly with workforce and college or university educators; specifically working with faculty at US-based higher education institutions to develop courses or programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing fully online (asynchronous and synchronous), blended, and hybrid courses and programs for adult learner populations.
  • Ability to lead the Learning Design process and guide educators by generating ideas, providing examples, and explaining the process.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing theory, research, and instructional design models to inform a creative process that ensures successful learning models.
  • Ability to define clear, measurable learning outcomes at an appropriate Bloom’s taxonomy level.

  • Experience using quality assurance instruments or frameworks (e.g., QM, OLC, QLT) to inform course design.

Qualifications
