Teaching kids to think critically and communicate effectively has never been more important, and NoRedInk helps students become better writers in more than 60% of U.S. school districts. As a Senior HRBP, you will be pivotal in molding our organizational culture and workforce. You will work closely with leadership to guide talent, organizational development, and change management. This role requires someone detailed and analytical but also nurturing and tolerant, helping manage transitions smoothly and maintaining harmony across departments.

In this role, you will:

  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with departmental leaders, acting as a strategic advisor on all human resource matters.
  • Talent Management: Offer expert advice on talent strategies that support our business objectives, including development, retention, and acquisition, and manage the performance management & review process. 
  • People Manager Growth and Development: Create and implement solutions that enhance manager effectiveness and foster team stability.
  • Organizational Development: Collaborate on change management strategies that accommodate the company's evolving needs while minimizing disruption.
  • Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership to develop plans that prepare us for future challenges and opportunities.
  • Employee Relations: Address and resolve employee relations issues, cultivating a supportive and positive work environment.

  • Employee Engagement: Analyze and interpret employee engagement survey results and other sources, present and discuss findings with leadership, and recommend actionable plans to support engagement.

About You:

  • 5+ years of HR experience, particularly in employee relations and collaborating directly with managers. A background in learning and development and/or consulting is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with leadership as a trusted advisor.
  • Thorough understanding of talent management, organizational development, and change management principles.
  • Experience in workforce and succession planning.
  • Competent in handling employee relations and performance management.
  • Adept at analyzing engagement surveys and formulating effective action plans.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM) is a plus.

We're looking for a Director of Business Operations & Strategy who will be a strategic partner and force multiplier for NoRedInk’s executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with the Executive team to drive critical cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives. You will excel at simplifying projects while also maintaining enough structure to ensure we make well-informed, data-driven decisions. Also, you will leverage your expertise in data visualization and storytelling to enhance how we talk about our business to investors and internal audiences. This is a key role in the organization, and while initially an individual contributor, this role provides significant growth potential within NoRedInk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Program and Project Management:
    • Facilitate and drive accountability during weekly executive team L10 meetings
    • Support the execution of quarterly strategic initiatives. This will be accomplished through owning initiatives directly and enabling other ELT members to achieve their initiatives.
    • Drive the Board Meeting preparation process. Foster alignment on priorities as they pertain to the business strategy. Collaborate closely with executive leaders to facilitate the completion of pre-work tasks, enabling readiness for focused discussions during the meeting.
    • Establish a seamless and predictable business cadence by taking ownership of the comprehensive company calendar. Partner with People Ops to meticulously plan for and align on business rhythms, crucial external and internal events, milestones, and initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Drive pivotal cross-functional initiatives by spearheading collaborative efforts, ensuring alignment across departments, and orchestrating the seamless execution of strategic projects to achieve organizational goals and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Work closely across our company to create strategies and systems that enhance productivity and company performance.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting, and Communications:
    • Identify and track key business objectives, ensuring timely and aligned project progression.
    • Expert in presentation best practices. Create reports and decks for internal meetings and board meetings that balance data visualization with storytelling.
    • Leveraging data-driven insights and business intelligence to help senior leadership make important decisions.
  • Strategic Planning:

The Director of Brand and Buzz is focused on managing a team that sources leads and nurtures prospects through national and regional events, the creation of meaningful communities, webinars, short and long-form content, and the website. This position reports directly to the SVP of Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Refine the NoRedInk written and visual brand identity to resonate with target personas in line with company goals and emerging trends. 
  • Craft and execute innovative brand campaigns that effectively communicate NoRedInk’s mission, vision, and values to target audiences. Educate and empower all employees to be brand ambassadors successfully communicating a unified message.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with educational organizations, technology partners, and community groups to expand brand reach and influence. Coordinate with these partners to co-create content, sponsor events, and collaborate on community initiatives.
  • Oversee the company's website and social media platforms to ensure they serve as effective tools for brand storytelling, lead generation, and community engagement. Implement SEO strategies to increase visibility and attract more educators and administrators to the platform.
  • Guide the content strategy to position NoRedInk as a thought leader attuned to district administrators' needs, optimizing content delivery to maximize reach and impact.
  • Guide the event strategy (including national, regional, bespoke, and online events) to drive pipeline, with a special focus on target district accounts. 
  • Work with Marketing Operations to develop and implement robust tracking systems to measure the ROI of all brand and buzz initiatives, including events, content, website, and partnership activities, with a focus on their contribution to the sales pipeline. Regularly report insights and progress to senior management, making recommendations for pivoting strategies or scaling successful initiatives.
  • Lead, supervise, mentor, and develop team members to meet and exceed goals by providing feedback and guidance, as well as training and coaching opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for earned media and facilitate the development of content with subject-matter experts, ambassadors, internal NoRedInk experts, business partners, social media influencers, or other advocates.

About You

  • 8+ years of demonstrated success as a brand leader for B2B companies, preferably in the education sector

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy Implementation

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to effectively reach target district and school audiences.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, customer success, and revenue operations teams to align marketing initiatives with company objectives.

Data Analysis and Insight Generation

  • Coach the marketing team to utilize data analytics to drive marketing decisions and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Regularly report on marketing KPIs to senior management, providing actionable insights.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and coach the marketing operations team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Encourage innovation and creativity within the team.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a cohesive and unified approach to customer engagement and experience.
  • Contribute to company-wide strategy discussions and decision-making processes.

Technology and Process Optimization:

  • Oversee the efficacy and administration of the marketing technology stack, including but not limited to Salesforce, HubSpot, Clearbit, WordPress, Airtable, and Highspot.
  • Lead our Pardot-to-Hubspot migration, in partnership with our Marketing Operations Manager (who has Pardot experience).
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to capture and leverage website and product data as appropriate, and to optimize the overlap between product and GTM systems and communications.
  • Collaborate with the data team to consolidate data sources in an effort to simplify and improve visibility of reports.
  • Oversee the marketing website performance including driving strategy and new initiatives to optimize conversion rates.
  • Continuously refine and improve marketing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

About You:

  • Minimum of 6+ years in marketing operations, preferably in a B2B SaaS and/or education technology environment.
  • 3+ years as a people leader
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive impact.
  • Data expert, able to develop dashboards and reports to support monthly and quarterly reporting cadence
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of successfully advising leaders and peers on data-driven decision-making.
  • Expertise with Salesforce reporting and marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred).
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing small teams.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Effective and clear executive-level communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A collaborative mindset, adept at working with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to stay abreast of the latest marketing trends and technologies.
  • Willing to travel up to 5% of the time.

Compensation at NoRedInk is robust and includes a full range of benefits, unlimited PTO, monthly co-working stipends, an initial home-office set-up stipend, and generous equity. Our salary ranges are based on factors such as expectations as laid out in the job description, location-specific market data, internal parity, and the experience and skills of individual candidates. Therefore, the compensation range which includes salary + bonus is $150,000 - $202,000 and accounts for a variety of locations and skills/experience.
