About the role:

Samsara is seeking a Go-To-Market Systems (GTMS) Architect, who will play a strategic role in enabling  Samsara’s rapid growth. Working closely with a senior leadership team that has successfully built and exited a billion-dollar business, you will develop tools to help scale our revenue-generating operations and increase sales efficiency. In this role, you will: 

  • Own Samsara’s Go-To-Market Systems architecture, vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Integrate Samara’s CRM with other key business systems
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Marketing and Customer Support business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop strategies to meet architecture/technology needs, and provide technical design documents for implementation
  • Find efficient scalable solutions to our business challenges that are scalable for future growth
  • Partner with SalesOps business teams and development teams to  deliver  solutions defined, reviewed and approved by stakeholders
  • Manage in-house/external developers, track small to large initiatives from initiation through post-launch
  • Communicate regularly on program/project plans, progress, blockers, and risks to cross-functional stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Sales and CPQ functional domain expertise including hands on partnership with Go-to-market business teams
  • Experience building product roadmap around GTM business processes
  • Experience building architecture blueprints around GTM business processes
  • 5+ years of SFDC Enterprise Salesforce Architecture experience across multiple clouds; Sales (including CPQ) and Community 
  • 10+ years of total business technology experience
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills 
  • Experience in designing and developing software components including Service Oriented Architecture and integration
  • One or more Salesforce certifications (preference for Platform Developer II, Technical Architect)
  • Expert understanding of Salesforce Governor Limits and Code Coverage, Salesforce Standard Objects and associated business processes
  • Experience with data integrity, data quality, data migration and data maintenance
  • Hands on experience with integration patterns and middleware architecture and systems (e.g. Mulesoft etc)

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience with Service and Revenue cloud
  • Experience with integration of Salesforce with Netsuite 
  • Experience with Ecommerce and marketing cloud such as BigCommerce and Marketo
Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver total compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs).  A new hire RSU award is awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

We pay for performance, and top performers are eligible to receive above target equity refresh awards which allow employees to achieve higher market positioning.

The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
$148,800$232,500 USD

Role Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to join the Revenue Operations team at Electric. The primary responsibility of this role is to establish and fine-tune the systems and processes tied to marketing-related measurement and analytics, marketing automation, marketing infrastructure, and data management. This role works in close partnership with multiple teams across Marketing, Customer Experience, Product and Revenue Operations.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with the technical aspects of marketing operations, open to iterating for constant improvement and using data to drive decision making.  The ideal candidate is someone who can collaborate with others to establish a strategy and is also comfortable executing the day-to-day operations.  

What you’ll do 

  • Optimize the marketing tech stack and operational processes to support growth marketing objectives and produce led growth
  • Improve the lead-to-revenue process to achieve goals through the funnel; as well as track conversations at each stage of the customer journey across campaigns and channels
  • Provide insights on campaign performance through a range of metrics and dashboards to help drive pipeline using growth marketing tactics
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (Marketo, Gainsight) used to generate, distribute, and report on prospects
    • Work in the marketing automation system (Marketo), including management of assets, integrations, tracking, and reporting.
  • Create a marketing database strategy to support general health and growth in various market segments
  • Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management in Salesforce and Marketo
  • Optimize the marketing technology stack to help the marketing team drive efficiency in the execution of programs and campaigns; this could include evaluating new marketing technologies and add-on applications
  • Monitoring, measuring, and analyzing the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company's goals and OKRs

Who you are

  • 3+ years of marketing automation and/or marketing operations experience at a product led growth company
  • In-depth experience with building and scaling in a Marketing Automation Platform like Marketo; Marketo-certified is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce is required; Gainsight experience is a plus
  • Experience with lead-routing software is preferred (e.g. LeanData, RingLead, Tray.io)
  • Exposure to Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration tools
  • Experience in the strategy, design, and implementation of the lead-to-revenue process – definitions, stages and statuses, data mapping and syncing, and SLAs from a product led growth and growth marketing perspective
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to analyze campaign performance data to optimize existing campaigns and channels, identify new opportunities and turn data into actionable insights
  • Curious and thoughtful in solving problems
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize and manage multiple projects

About the Role:
