We are looking for an experienced and talented Multimedia Designer. In this role, you'll be responsible for communicating strategic goals and a creative vision into actionable design solutions, highly compelling, original, and defining work that advances the company's brand. The desired candidate will need to be an accomplished visual designer and brand-builder with demonstrated skills and interest in branding, design, and mapping creative deliverables to business strategy. Areas of work may include, but are not limited to, branding, graphics, communications, interactive, animation or motion graphics, and video creation and editing. Manage the workflow of creative projects to ensure timely production. The role will frequently engage with marketing professional stakeholders in internal business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Develop visually appealing graphics for various platforms, including digital and print materials, marketing collateral, social media posts, and other promotional materials.
  • Animation/Motion Graphics: Create eye-catching animations and motion graphics for promotional videos, presentations, and other multimedia content. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative animation techniques into projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and execute animated elements.
  • Video editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with the company's brand and messaging. Incorporate music, sound effects, and visual elements to enhance video content. Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality video assets.
  • Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm and contribute ideas for visual content.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide insights on design and multimedia aspects.
  • Collaborate with other designers, copywriters, and marketing professionals to ensure cohesive and impactful visual storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points.
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion under tight deadlines.
  • Stay updated with the latest multimedia technology and design trends, incorporating new ideas and innovations into projects.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, art services, web designers, marketing teams, and other professionals to support multimedia projects.
  • Provide technical multimedia support and expertise to team members.
  • Conduct research and create prototypes to explore and implement interactive designs.
  • Present design concepts/storyboards to internal clients and, at times, senior level management.
  • Communicates expectations to management and parties responsible for the project. 
  • Maintain and follow best practices for version control, naming conventions and organization of graphic files. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Multimedia Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing video editing, graphic design, and animation/motion graphics skills. Minimum 3-5 years of related interactive design and video experience. 
  • Proficiency in multimedia software tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro), and other visualization and design tools.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and graphic design.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  • In-depth knowledge/experience in animation and video production techniques, post-production workflow, sound mixing, and color correction. 
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Proficient on Mac platforms 
  • Solid understanding of copyright rules and regulations. 
  • Time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.

Your Equipment

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Senior Designer, preferably within an advertising agency, in-house creative department, or similar.
  • 3+ years of proven experience creating engaging social media designs.
  • You’re a creative storyteller with a finger on the pulse of emerging creative trends across social platforms.
  • You have excellent visual design craft skills, with stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and an obsession for pixel perfection. You’ve designed game-changing work that showcases a strong foundation of type, space, form, color, and visual hierarchy.
  • Proficient user in multimedia tools and software for content creation including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.

Your Responsibilities
  • You produce static and animated creatives for a number of platforms such as the app stores, campaigns and promotional assets for socials (Meta, TikTok, Google, Reddit, Snapchat, etc.) and web, banners, emails and Push Notifications.
  • You collaborate with the entire Customlytics team, including App Marketing Consultants, Paid Campaign Specialists, ASO Specialists, and mCM Specialists to plan and execute design solutions for mobile apps, always meeting our clients’ individual needs.
  • You support internal company design and marketing activities in order to build brand awareness (promotional materials, marketing collateral, social media assets, presentations & print products; brand guidelines).
  • You mentor and support more Junior Designers as they develop their skills.
Your skills are needed
  • You have either completed a formal training as motion designer or studied motion design or similar. Additionally you have at least 3 years of in-house Graphic Design experience. 
  • Extra points if you have experience working with Adobe XD
  • You have experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro and at least basic knowledge with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • You have good attention to detail and an eye for layout, motion and typography
  • You work well in a team as well as independently and take full responsibility for your work

Most importantly, you’ll be responsible for defining how the world views Gemini, evangelizing and educating users about the innovative industry.

This designer will be focused on marketing and brand design while collaborating across the product design team. This individual will support business goals related to brand building, and brand recognition. They will also contribute to building the Gemini brand and have the ability to creatively express the brand across a variety of mediums.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the creative team in all stages of developing motion assets, from concept to development and final production
  • Create and revise design of still frames and storyboards
  • Work within the brand design team to develop our brand motion toolkit
  • Work with product design team to craft UI motion behaviors and animations that orient, guide, and add delight for customers
  • Utilize sound design to execute projects
  • Delivery multiple mediums of work, spanning from 2D title and super animation, 2D/3D  motion design/animation that may be output for TV Broadcast, HD Video, social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Vimeo, Youtube, Twitter, etc)
  • Address all necessary feedback and follow up with manager and our development team 
  • Participate constructively in inter-department and cross-service line communications
  • Execute design work to ensure final deliverables meet Gemini standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in motion and creative coding
  • Is a master of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc), Cinema 4D, Figma, Lottie as well as emerging interactive design trends
  • Demonstrates an in-depth, understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, motion and interaction design
  • Experience with animation for mobile app content
  • Understands file compression, viewing specifications, and delivery of all media formats and channels
  • Bonus: Experience as a creative coder and understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Collaborated with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Copywriters to develop stories and create storyboards and design elements
  • Experience concepting unique ideas for video and motion graphic assignments and/or advertising campaigns.
  • High level of craft and attention to detail is required
  • Excellent time management with strong organizational, communication and conceptual thinking skills
  • Team player and self-starter with a hunger for collaboration across all disciplines of design, marketing, product and engineering
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $137,000 - $172,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Part-Time Graphic Designer at ALU, you will play a pivotal role in applying our brand's visual identity and ensuring our courses are visually appealing and create an engaging experience for our students. You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to produce engaging and visually appealing designs that align with our brand guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Learning Experience Team and Faculty to understand the needs in the courses
  • Create compelling and original visual designs for digital materials, including but not limited to: templates for presentations and session guides, course graphics 
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine designs and ensure they meet brand standards and messaging goals
  • Help maintain and update the LED digital style guide, ensuring consistency across all design materials
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a graphic designer, either through previous work experience or a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, layout, and typography.
  • Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs accordingly
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • Time management skills to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing design needs and project requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Formal education in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field
  • Experience in creating designs for learning
  • Familiarity with motion graphics or video editing is a plus
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles for web and mobile applications
  • Knowledge of Canvas is plus but design specs can be provided. 

Hours:
Part-time, 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule based on project requirements.

This role is to strategically plan and optimize digital content that captivates, informs, and motivates customers to increase engagement and sales.  This position is accountable for driving positive financial results and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the appropriate planning and execution of content strategies to meet online business goals and strategies.  The focal point of this role is to drive and optimize online content strategies to create a world class digital shopping experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Build, test, and deploy online campaign content for all Fender.com. While not responsible for designing creative elements of the site, this individual will use data and industry knowledge to work strategically and partner alongside the site merchandising, marketing, creative services, and global teams to execute a content experience that allows Fender.com be an outstanding shopping destination for the brand.
  • Work closely with the merchandising and marketing teams to plan, manage and execute content calendars for homepages, product category focuses, new launches, inventory availability and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage outlining and briefing content plans into the marketing and creative teams, for all content needs across new product launches, promotions, and DTC commercial activations.
  • Partner with the merchandising team, plan and execute curated category landing pages to support DTC commercial moments, new product launches and guided-selling journeys.
  • Maintain site Category and URL redirects, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to enhance Fender's content strategy.
  • Regularly monitor and analyze content performance utilizing data and share with the broader ecommerce team to help generate and drive future content decisions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with User Experience teams on development and enrichment of content and customer journey.
  • Assesses the competitive landscape by examining content strategies of key competitors and best-in-class online retailers to understand emerging online trends and recommend changes to the online category strategy based on customer and competitor insights.
  • Continually seeks to improve the online experience by researching and staying abreast of new and innovative online solutions and capabilities; key competitor actions; industry trends and emerging customer and market needs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years eCommerce content and/or merchandising experience, ideally in a direct-to-consumer environment
  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Page Designer experience.
  • Shopify platform experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop preferred.
  • Experience with Contentsquare, Google Analytics a plus.
  • Consumer-focused, highly analytical, and inquisitive by nature
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and in-person
