About the Role:

This role is crucial for maintaining vulnerability intelligence data. We collect data from various sources in different formats and process collected data turning data into usable information.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining parsers and processors for various data formats and sources, storing processed data in data stores (mysql and others). We mainly use Java for backend development with a few other technologies for smaller tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a background in designing and deploying highly efficient and reliable backend systems. 

This is a one year contract position. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data collectors:Develop data collectors for various data sources such as git repositories, third party APIs. 
• Develop and maintain data processors:Develop data parsers and processors for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools:Develop and maintain monitoring tools and alerts to detect changes in data sources and formats.
• Other development activities as necessary: Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, developing and maintaining unit and integration tests, managing JIRA tickets, writing technical documentation, working on other development tasks not listed above  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Java and SQL

• Familiarity with cyber security topics such as vulnerabilities, CVEs and related standards and technologies

We are looking for a front end developer with strong web design skills, or a web designer with development experience. 

Responsibilities include designing and developing good looking web pages and charts. 

The ideal candidate will have a background in both web design and frontend development and should have created and maintained websites. We would like to see examples of your past work.

The Technical Support Engineer’s main responsibility is to field issues that are escalated to us by customer-facing teams within the company. Technical Support Engineers are responsible for assessing, gathering additional context where needed, and determining an appropriate action plan for issues assigned to them. Technical Support Engineers collaborate internally with other members of the team, with customer-facing and prod-dev teams,  as well as externally with vendors and customers to develop a complete understanding of the issue at hand, and advocate for the customer to ensure an accurate and timely resolution. Role and Responsibilities

• [80%] Field issues which involve application/technical troubleshooting including log analysis and data queries, routine escalations and vendor communication. For example:
• Identifying and solutioning issues with edge case Elation Health user workflows
• Data not syncing between Elation Health and API // HL7 integrated vendor
• Identifying issues which require data manipulation not possible in the Elation Health app and coordinating those updates with data services personnel
• Identifying, reproducing and escalating product defects to engineering teams
• [10%] Propose, plan and own documentation, trainings, templates, etc. where appropriate, to streamline how the team handles escalations, as well as how other teams field and assess these types of issues
• [10%] Collaborate with senior members of the team, as well as leads and manager, to identify opportunities for process improvement
• Participate in 1 to 2 weekend/holiday on-call rotations per year

Personal Qualifications

• Manages time effectively and works independently, self-starter
• Empathetic in their approach to work, and passionate about the user experience we support 
• Liases effectively between internal and vendor teams, as well as with customers directly where appropriate

Senior Sales Engineer - DACH

The Senior Sales Engineer supports our Enterprise Account Executives, Partners and Major Account Managers Across the DACH regions by owning the technical solution throughout the sales process. This includes initial sales prospecting, scoping and architecting solutions, running proof-of-concepts to prove ROI, training, and evangelising Fastly products in the market. 

The successful candidate will have a strong desire to migrate prospects from legacy solutions to Fastly next-generation solutions to resolve speed, security, visibility and release process issues. • Keep your technical skills current and report on applicable new technology and technology-related trends, build demos and run your own lab environment.
• Represent Fastly at events and support the marketing team as a technical Subject Matter Expert; take part in online events and conferences

What We're Looking For

• Proven professional experience within network and CDN products, within large sophisticated organisations.
• Ability to demonstrate experience and expertise with web applications and networking
• Experience with
  • Web development, testing tools, or streaming media delivery
  • DevSecOps tools, pen testing applications and web application security frameworks
  • Exposure to public cloud computing solutions, a good understanding of regional internetworking

We’ll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:

• A strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and devops would be a bonus. 
• Scripting languages and exposure to typed programming languages
• Configuration automation solutions such as Terraform
• Web Application Firewall, bot mitigation, layered security controls and DDoS concepts
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field is desirable
• Experience working for a vendor or systems integrator in a pre-sales capacity is desirable
