Our Quality Assurance & Oversight team is key to implementing new clients, testing claims within their respective lines of business and ensuring all claims are paying out correctly. The Quality Assurance team ensures test cases and scripts are developed on the requirements clientshasspecified and while designing quality review processes with other departments. Along with them, the Product Quality team leverages these skills and functions by focusing on all Abarca related products and software services by collaborating with Product Teams.            

As ourSeniorProduct QualityAnalystyou will partner with the Product Team to ensure that business requirements originating from them are developed accurately and configured into our claims adjudication platform, while the Quality Assurance Analysts and Software Testers support the development and testing. You will execute all business functional testing activities to ensure the quality of each client’s pharmacy benefit design and that all new logic integrates with other plans’ programs. As such, understanding those requirements, designing, and defining testing scenarios, executingthemand documenting them will be an important aspect of your role. Due to the hands-onlevelyou will take on in this role, the team will support your developing knowledge of both technical and operational sides of the business as you make recommendations on corrective actions and process improvement for testing and monitoring. 

The fundamentals for the job… 

  • Optimize testing and monitoring activities to ensure the quality of the systems and processes supporting the company’s operation. 
  • Develop into a subject matter expert (SME) on certain lines of business and adjudication logic whilestaycurrent with regulatory guidelines. 
  • Develop, document, and execute test plans, and test cases and scripts based on business functional requirements (independent of Software Test Engineer test plan). 
  • Analyze, document, and report on test results to business stakeholders and SDLC teams. 
  • Document and track issues identified during testing activities to ensure defect resolution and testing completion. 
  • Perform functional testing of the specific adjudication changes being requested, their integration with the specific client rule being tested and related impact to other products. (e.g.member portal, platform visualization). 
  • Review executed test results with Scrum team, business users, and requestors to ensure acceptance and approval of the results.
  • Log all documentation of test plan execution and results in a centralized area available for all SDLC teams.
  • Contribute to the business requirement gathering process by identifying missing requirements based on test-cases development and testing experience.
  • Collaborate in the development of new ideas and requirements to resolve testing and system’s issues, and improve current systems based on testing results. Collaborate with the Software Test Engineering team to develop and improve testing strategies, techniques, procedures, and tools
  • Participate in product grooming and refinement meetings to gather understanding of new system functionalities and requirements that will require testing and monitoring.
  • Team up to support users during issue-solving activities, and day-to-day system operation. 

 

 What we expect of you

  • Experience in pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) setting. 
  • Experience as a detail-oriented problem-solver, able to quickly spot trends and discrepancies. 
  • Experience analyzinglarge data sets while able to use dashboard tools (e.g.Tableau, QVW and Excel tools). 
  • Experience leveragingstrong analytical and critical thinking bybeing,innovative, accountable and a team worker with a desire to be challenged. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g.Excel, Power BI). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Product Analytics Intern! The Product Analytics function at Addepar helps our product & engineering teams make informed decisions about design, prioritization, and how we do product development. We play a meaningful role in ensuring our valuable time and efforts are spent on solving the right problem the right way.

As a full-time product analytics intern, you’ll apply your curiosity and analytical abilities to support one major product initiative, from refining and tracking success metrics, dissecting user behavior, and capturing and analyzing additional data to support decisions along the way. You will be paired with and mentored by an analytics expert, and participate in brainstorming sessions, partner meetings, analytics round tables, and other cross-functional activities throughout your internship. You'll learn about the technologies involved in typical business intelligence stacks as well as those used to capture and analyze user behaviors in products. You will walk away with an in-depth understanding of the product-development process at a Fintech startup and how data can play a critical role.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $25 - $39.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners to understand their data and analytical needs and define project requirements

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent education covering databases, SQL, analytics, and/or statistics
  • Experience with analytical or business intelligence (BI) tools is strongly preferred (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Mode, etc.)
  • Bonus points for basic skills in python, prior experience working with product development teams, project/task management, data warehousing, or dimensional modeling
  • Excellent communication skills encompassing verbal, written, and visual communication, with the ability to tell compelling stories with data.
  • A passion for extracting insights from data and using analytics to address meaningful and challenging product or client questions
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies, analytical concepts, and systems.
  • Familiarity with the financial industry and/or money & wealth tracking apps is advantageous

Who You Will Be Joining:

We are looking for a Sr. Product Analyst to join our Data Science Team in building and expanding our product analytics capabilities at ecobee. This newly established team of product-focused data scientists will derive both customer and financial insights to improve decision making for our products lines, while building automated reporting for our key performance metrics. 

We have recently started building this function so there is an opportunity for you to make an impact. The team owns the building and maintaining product analytics infrastructure and partners closely with product stakeholders to understand their growing analytical needs. It defines and builds product success metrics, provides key insights of performance drivers and user behavior, and designs and runs experiments to understand user behaviour. 

The ideal candidate brings analytical rigor, experience in identifying gaps and improving product analytics capabilities. You have an opportunity to influence leadership with data and clearly articulate and execute top priorities. 

How you’ll make an impact: 

  • Work closely with product stakeholders to find answers to strategic business questions, as well as surface insights and identify new questions that are critical to understand the business and user behavior 
  • Create consistency in data reporting and measurement across the board, in collaboration with both product stakeholders and our BI team. In addition, the product analytics team will identify automation opportunities and build tools/processes to streamline recurring reporting and analytical need 
  • Combine a deep understand of business with technical expertise, act as an SME to provide insights to critical product/business questions and tell the story of what happen and why it happens 
  • Support product teams in making informed decisions by providing data-driven recommendations
  • Cultivate knowledge, establish best practices, and disseminate them across various teams
  • Own the building and maintaining of the infrastructure to conduct experimentations for product functions. You will partner with product stakeholders on the experiment design, implementation, post-launch analysis and recommendations for the future step 

What You’ll Bring to the Table:  

  • You bring a well-balanced mix of experience including deep analytics, data engineering, stakeholder management and product strategy
  • Experience implementing/developing product analytics frameworks, techniques and reporting that deliver user insights, guide product decisions, and measure product performance
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, SiSense), user experience tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Segment, MixPanel) and with data extraction, statistical analysis, modeling and general familiarity with data languages and statistical tools (SQL, Python, R)
  • Experience working in experiment-driven product development. You are familiar with the different types of experimentation frameworks that impact product decisions. (Including but not limited to A/B testing, principles of causal inference, and statistical techniques like model-based evaluations of user behaviour)
  • Strong storytelling skills in presenting complex findings in an easily digestible way in order to influence business change based on derived insights
  • Experience in working with stakeholders with various degrees of technical expertise
  • You will work with teams across multiple time zones
