Regional Sales Manager – K12
 
 
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: This role will own all aspects of regional performance (keep & grow base, get new, achieve KPIs) for focus products (Gold Kist - Value Added) in the defined territories.
 
This position will be remote (home office) and must live in and cover the North-Central region, including the following states; MT, WY, ND, SD, NE, MN, IA, WI, IL, IN, OH, MI
 
Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leader for the Region: be Subject Matter Expert for Pilgrims/Gold Kist, develop relationships with key/strategic accounts, manage the broker & deliver regional KPIs.
  • The ‘Face of Pilgrim’s’: responsible for face-to-face execution of Pilgrim's Sales & Marketing Strategies against School Customers in assigned Territories, attend relevant shows, engage with industry leadership.
  • Build & Execute Pipeline: develop comprehensive bid pipeline (Schools), target list to achieve regional objectives. Know where you need to be to win (which accounts, with what mix, at what price).
  • Sell the ‘Pilgrim’s Way’: consultative, needs based selling, bring solutions to your customers and drive thought leadership in your focus segments (Schools) drive our products to the menu.
  • Subject Matter Expert: know your focus products, know your competitors, know our value proposition & provide internal cross-functional feedback to renovate the business & drive growth.
  • K12 Bid & Commodity Management: provide in depth Bid Analysis and Customer Targets, effectively manage commodity program to include pass thru commodities & substitutable commodities.
  • Know Your Business: leverage CRM and Axcion AMP platform to know your numbers, performance drivers and pipeline to close gaps. Responsible for monthly report-out with tactical plans.
  • Forecast Your Demand: understand your run-rate, won/lost business, coordinate with demand planning within our production requirements and help service your demand to meet your objectives.
  • Be Present & Engaged: assist cross-functional teams, be proactive, address needs, engage regionally, collaborate constantly and ensure alignment with all stakeholders to drive results.
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of sales experience within the segment.
  • K12 experience required; prior poultry experience preferred
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining business relationships with accounts within territory.
  • This position requires ability to travel. Must be able to fly or drive from city to city.
  • Computer skill knowledge of internet navigation, Microsoft software knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint required. Skills to assimilate to company computer system requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals within and outside of the company.

Technical Product Manager
General Summary:We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Pilgrim’s Fresh Business Units!This position will work alongside our Project Management teams to support existing business and new product launches. The ideal candidate plays a key role in ensuring we understand and successfully fulfill our customers' objectives. They will use their experience with processing to work directly with our production plants to optimize product performance. The position supports the handoff between Product Development (R&D) and everyday production in our facilities, focusing on repeatable process within the production plant's operational capabilities. Should there be any issues or concerns, it is their duty to resolve them right away.
This candidate will work in a remote office and must live in: Greeley, CO, TX, SC, NC, KY, TN, AR, LA, AL, GA or be willing to relocate near Greeley, CO.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the Business Development/Project Management team & Product Development (R&D) team on all existing products and new product development. 
  • Strategizing with our Operations team, fine tuning processes to improve overall product quality.
  • Spearhead the research into determining product requirements, recognizing product performance opportunities and determining appropriate action in conjunction with Project Managers.
  • Monitoring product lifecycle, and creating detailed reports on product information.
  • Conducting operational research and data collection to resolve customer issues.
  • Leading internal and external product audits.
  • Building and maintaining customer, production & QA relationships.
  • Continuously expanding knowledge of our product lines.
  • Demonstrate product functionality accurately and completely to support ROI analysis.

Qualifications:
  •  4 year degree in Poultry Science or related field
  • 5+ years experience in Meat and/or Poultry Food Processing
  • Previous experience in a technical service role introducing new products and concepts to targeted customer and/or markets in conjunction with sales and marketing.
  • Excellent people skills with ability and willingness to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Well organized and an effective planner in use of resources, while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness as project needs dictate.
  • Highly developed attention to detail & strong analytical skills.

  • 20% - Assist producers in Property Marketing Animals
