The Role: Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Improve feedback cycles at all levels of development (examples: improving the experience of iterating on code locally, deploying to test environments, deploying to production)

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake Specific Data Engineer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Snowflake data warehouse. You will work closely with our data analysts, architects, and developers to ensure that our Snowflake data warehouse is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes for our Snowflake data warehouse
• Develop CICD Pipelines and build custom data extractors/processors using Golang.
• Build and maintain efficient and scalable data models in Snowflake
• Collaborate with data analysts, architects, and developers to identify data requirements and implement data solutions
• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and data architecture
• Optimize and tune Snowflake queries for performance and efficiency
• Implement Snowflake security policies and access controls

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong Golang programming experience.

• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture and best practices

The Role: Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll help solve complex problems that will directly influence the direction of the digital asset space. We are a team of self-starters, self-driven owners. There’s a wide range of problems to solve at Gemini – from properly securing millions of dollars worth of customer funds, to developing innovative new blockchain products, to building highly-available and high-scale systems on the cloud, to building anomaly detection models to identify risky behavior. • The ability to work closely across teams (and time-zones) and manage dependencies.
• A customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and quality.

The Job

The Department: Service Fundamentals (Trust & Safety)

The Role: Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Engineer on the Trust & Safety team at Gemini, you’ll be directly involved in building controls that prevent fraud for all users of Gemini. We are building controls that monitor customer activities for malicious behavior, illicit transactions and raise alarms in the event a transaction is suspicious. We are also focusing on creating controls to combat account takeovers and continuously monitor customers transactions for hints of suspicious activity. We are a primarily backend team working in Scala. It is the responsibility of the staff engineer to push the team into using proper best practices and learning about new innovative technologies.
