About the Role

As we continue our fast growth, we are looking to add to our team within the Business Development group. We are hiring a Sales Development Representative to join our Brand Partnerships team, generating new business opportunities for the company by identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers. You will be managing leads through the sales pipeline by setting meetings, following up on leads, and tracking progress toward meeting sales goals. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of success in sales. About the Team 

The Instacart Brand Partnerships Sales Development Representative (SDR) team exists to build relationships with Emerging-Scaled advertisers pre-activation. Through these relationships, SDRs help Emerging-Scaled advertisers to set up and launch successful ads campaigns.

 

About The Job

  • Prospect and activate new advertisers for the Instacart advertising platforms
  • Cold email and call new accounts to drive value and win relationships
  • Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change
  • A desire to learn and grow in the sales field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Developing sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to CPG advertisers

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong advertising industry knowledge and understanding of CPG advertising is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools

The Job

 

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be our first sales development representative (SDR). We are looking for a passionate individual eager to play a key role in driving the go-to-market efforts of a fast-growing company that will be the next iconic brand (imagine being the first SDR at Amazon or Google). The goal of the SDR is to help enable Invisible’s mission to automate repetitive work for every company so people can focus on their real work by developing leads that can be directed to Account Executives for closing. You will be responsible for developing and executing an outbound outreach program to reach our key target accounts, achieve our monthly sales targets, and play a key role in helping us grow 3x again in 2022.

 

Who We Want

 

Sales Development will be an important member of the Sales team. Our ability to achieve our goals comes down, in a large part, to the type and number of clients you will add. We are looking for individuals with the full spectrum of abilities and we are extremely selective. The ideal candidate is a blend of 3 key strengths: 

 

1) You have demonstrated success in achieving quota and running outbound initiatives

2) The right candidate will find a way in to each of our target accounts, having a ‘hunter-mentality’ to find a way into each target and to win 

3) You have experience with outbound methodologies beyond just emails and cold calls, you have strong competitive DNA and are always looking for creative ways to prospect

 

This ‘hunter-mentality’ is key to continuing our high growth trajectory: we grew 3x in 2020, 4x in 2021, and plan to grow rapidly by 3x again in 2022.  We are looking for individuals with the full spectrum of abilities and we are extremely selective. 

 

Capabilities & Requirements: 

 

- Preferably 1-3 years experience as a sales intern, BDR, or SDR, within an SaaS, RPA, BPO, or high-growth organization

- Tech-savvy, preferably with strong domain knowledge of the insurance, financial services, retail-tech, proptech, health-tech or fintech industries

- Have a deep understanding of how to leverage and implement a multi-pronged approach (calls, emails, Linkedin, social selling, Sales automation tools and more)

- Excellent team-building, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills

- Rockstar sales-hunter skills to  thrive in collaborative cross-functional fast-paced environments

- Analyze data to identify trends and communicate appropriately to sales management

- Schedule demos for Account Executives

- Desire for growth and development in a fast-growth environment

Job Description

The SDR at Otter revolves around lead generation rather than closing new deals. SDRs are measured by how effectively they move leads through the sales pipeline from the comfort of your home. Instead of researching leads, we have a pipeline of 6000 in our HubSpot for you to go after. You will be in charge of setting up the first meeting for the VP of sales to focus on closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • The SDR position will be scheduling Demos meetings for the VP of Sales 
  • Sales Calls to leads in our pipeline
  • Updating Notes in Hubspot
  • Adding lead to pre-built sequence campaign based on (left voice-mail, interested but not booked)
  • Networking via Linkedin

  • The goal is 120 solid appointments each month
