Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a marketing-savvy Event Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team and take the reigns on events and conferences at CareerPlug. You'll be the go-to for conferences, from masterminding the logistics to fostering strong relationships with our partners and clients to drive ROI from events. 

Reporting directly to our VP of Marketing, you'll be at the heart of the action, interfacing regularly with our Sales & Partnerships teams. Together, you'll identify the must-attend events that will supercharge our partner retention efforts and fuel the adoption of our subscription plans within their networks.

This position is ideal for individuals who possess strong sales and marketing savvy, along with a natural ability to connect with others. Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding the event goals and actively participating in achieving the desired outcome from the event 
  • Managing all logistics for the event for a flawless execution  
  • Owning the internal project plan for all events.  This may include:
    • Registering for an event and managing all deliverables for different levels of sponsorship 
    • Ensuring  promotional materials and any collateral are designed, procured, and delivered
    • Ensuring all trade show materials are designed, delivered, and set up to effectively communicate CareerPlug’s value to the partners and encourage onsite activations
    • Directing on-site event activities, including coordinating attendee responsibilities at the event, to drive subscription activations
  • Working with partner relationship owners to make sure speaking engagements are planned and speakers have what they need
  • Travel to and attend the event to ensure the successful execution of the plan (travel will be up to ~40% of the time). 
  • Reporting ROI (Return on Investment) for each event 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience in sales and supporting a sales team to achieve stated sales goals
  • Understands the structure of working with franchise brands and association groups
  • Experience in coordinating events; shipping and receiving of materials to tradeshows and events

Remote: As of March 2020, our formerly Austin-based team has been working fully remotely. We have transitioned to a Remote Firstcompany forever. This role may be filled by any U.S.-based candidate.

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role with a base salary of $64,000 with an additional $5,000 in bonus potential annually.

About the Role:

The Partner Marketing Specialist is responsible for maintaining Manufacturer Relationships and will play a critical role in building a strategic go-to-market plan with partners in an efficient manner. This role will also apply the various touchpoints required to maintaining the health of strategic and high growth partnerships within the business. Under the general direction of the VP, Partner Marketing, the Partner Marketing Specialist will work closely with the demand generation marketing team, business unit leaders, engineering and sales teams on a day-to-day basis in executing on all deliverables.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide funding marketing tactics and lead the collection of Marketing Development Funds (MDF) for assigned partners. Work with Channel Partners to ensure all requirements are fulfilled to complete the processing of the claim and timely payment.
  • Monitor and measure performance of MDF program.
  • Understand the business structure, go-to-market strategy and incorporate partners into strategic companywide tactics.
  • Collaborate with the sales teams, business unit leaders, engineering and marketing field (events) team to fund go-to market initiatives.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to plan and coordinate Partner Management engagements.  
  • Support the manufactures in identifying leads for potential business and a return on their investments.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in channel or partner marketing.
  • Strong project management skills to manage initiatives for multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as a problem solver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for interacting with employees, vendors, clients and upper management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.

The Role

We're seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to help drive user engagement of the Modern Health platform. This vital marketing role will build notification and email programs to onboard, activate, and engage, and retain users at a large scale. You’ll also work cross-functionally with our product and analytics team to understand the customer lifecycle and maximize engagement in an authentic way.

This role is marketing to our end users, so the ideal candidate is someone who is user-obsessed and can drive meaningful engagement with the Modern Health app. The ideal candidate is also someone who is a hands-on operator and has familiarity with a fast-paced startup environment.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Hawaii.

What You’ll Do

  • Build new lifecycle marketing strategies that increase adoption and engagement
  • Build strategies that touch B2B and B2C customers at key engagement and retention touchpoints
  • Develop, execute, and reiterate experiments across mobile, in-product, and email messaging while looking for improvements for engagement each step of the customer lifecycle
  • Create meaningful user experiences across campaigns and the user experience by partnering with our analytics and product teams
  • Extract learnings from experiments to inform other Customer and User roadmap initiatives
  • Communicate the results of your experiments widely across the org to inform Customer Success, Sales, Partnerships, Product, and other functions on what drives engagement and retention

Who You Are

  • 2+ years in marketing with at least 1 year in a cross-channel CRM role (mobile, email, in-app) for large user customer base
