Job Description

The Global Experian IT Services Software Asset Management (SAM) team are responsible for ensuring licensing compliance for large strategic suppliers together with understanding the centralised deployment / software usage to inform contract anniversary dates and renewals.

As such, the team works closely with our external SAM provider, the global procurement team, the Global technology demand team as well as both Global and Regional technical teams. By working closely with other teams the Software License Specialist role is expected to take responsibility for specific vendors/software titles and bring the relevant teams together as and when required.

Principle responsibilities 

  • Manage one of the primary vendor license estates (IBM, Oracle or Microsoft) through coordination of information with external supplier, maintain accurate deployment and drawdown records and coordinate closely with procurement and demand teams on contract renewals and anniversary dates 
  • Support the contract execution and renewals processes by providing accurate information related to license allocation/usage, and maintain open dialog regarding license footprint across a portfolio of software titles and coordinate audits.
  • Liaise and support finance teams on budgeting and forecasting software related pricing activities 
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement including increased automation for asset management process efficiencies 
  • Proactively identify and drive opportunities across desktop, server & cloud to successful outcomes through rationalizing and standardizing software renewal contracts together with rationalizing software titles for overlapping product sets to reduce costs 
  • Be an ambassador and evangelist for good SAM practices within the Global organisation 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable IT asset management experience, preferably software asset management 
  • Experience of managing Software Contracts & dealing with Software Vendors/Publishers and Resellers is critical 
  • Understanding of software usage metrics and contractual terms for at least one of Microsoft, Oracle or IBM 
  • Understanding of Citrix and VMware architecture, and public cloud processes/concepts 
  • Experience dealing with license implications on OS platforms such as Windows, MAC, Linux & Solaris would be preferred 
  • Any following recognised accreditations such as IAITAM Certification, CSAM and CITAM , Agile & Lean Certifications.

Principle responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert for licensing in general and specifically for one of the primary vendors 
  • Support the contract execution and renewals processes by providing accurate information related to license allocation-usage, and maintain open dialog regarding license footprint across a portfolio of software titles 
  • Support vendor audits and report on entitlement and usage as necessary 
  • Liaise and support finance teams on budgeting and forecasting software related pricing activities 
  • Raise purchase requisitions, review and approve invoicing and liaise with Accounts Payable where relevant 
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement including increased automation for asset management process efficiencies 
  • Administer supplier portals for user access, license keys and entitlement information 
  • Proactively identify and drive opportunities across desktop, server & cloud to successful outcomes through rationalizing and standardizing software renewal contracts together with rationalizing software titles for overlapping product sets to reduce costs 
  • Be an ambassador and evangelist for good SAM practices within the Global organization 

Qualifications

  • Advanced English proficiency 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of IT asset management experience, preferably software asset management 
  • Experience with software usage metrics and contractual terms on at least one of Microsoft, Oracle or IBM.
  • Experience with Citrix or VMware architecture, and-or public cloud processes-concepts 
  • Experience of managing Software Contracts & dealing with Software Vendors-Publishers and Resellers is critical 
  • Prior experience of Oracle financials is desirable.
  • Experienced navigating ServiceNow to extract SAM related data is highly preferred 
  • Familiarity with software inventory & discovery tools would be an advantage 
  • Experience dealing with license implications on OS platforms such as Windows, MAC, Linux & Solaris would be preferred 
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information 
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with employees and management at all levels 
  • Self-starter and able to work proactively of a truly Global team in a matrixed organization 
  • Flexible working to accommodate other time zones would be preferred but not critical 
  • Globally recognized SAM accreditations such as IAITAM Certification, CSAM and CITAM is desirable 
  • Agile & Lean Certifications are desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the event sales managers throughout the sales process: keeping documents updated with all progress, assuring all sales targets are being contacted, finding new contacts/leads, creating and updating opportunities and reports in Salesforce/HubSpot, and more.
  • Curate event target list for each event and help organize messaging to use for sponsorship promotions.
  • Research competitive events for each of our events and organize a list of potential sponsors and contacts for outreach.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in a sales assistant/coordinator environment required. Experience within events and/or tech is a plus.

          We run Open Telekom Cloud, a public cloud standard product based on open source community software and driven by principles of DevOps and with SRE in mind. With this customer-oriented and agile orientation, we are the anchor point for the Public Cloud business in Deutsche Telekom Group.

          Accurate and highly available information about the vehicle ego-motion and localization is central to ensure an adequate functioning of the virtual driver software of an autonomous truck. Core functionalities such as environment perception and prediction, as well as motion planning and control, strongly rely on this information to guarantee that the vehicle executes a collision-free driving plan. Accordingly, our ego-motion and localization modules are responsible for supplying reliable ego-motion and localization state estimates even in the presence of external disturbances, sensor imperfections, and system degradation.  

          As part of the ego-motion estimation and localization team, you will be able to design, develop, and release sensor fusion algorithms for the real-time estimation of the vehicle pose, velocity and acceleration. You will also gain a deep understanding of not only self-driving technology, but also its real-world challenges and how to convert such technology into real products. 

          What you will do: 

          • Execute full software development lifecycle activities using modern C++, including developing and releasing robust and reliable solutions to ego-motion estimation and localization problems 
          • Analyze and improve the current ego-motion estimation and localization algorithms, ensuring our self-driving vehicles have the best ego-motion and localization accuracy to drive safely and smoothly on the road 
          • Define software requirements, design software architecture, and develop robust verification strategies to guarantee the effective development and quality assurance of our software solutions 
          • Integration of software standards and safety requirements into the ego-motion estimation and localization software 
          • Collaborate with a creative team of engineers and researchers to solve multi-disciplinary problems

          • Infrastructure security experience - Patch and vulnerability management
          • Backup knowledge and experience
          • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation or ARM, for deploying and managing cloud resources. (good to have)
          • Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization techniques, including resource tagging, reserved instances, and usage analytics. (good to have)
          • Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions, such as Grafana (Required)
          • Experience with Jira ticketing system and Confluence (good to have)
          • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools, such as Git, Jenkins and Ansible, for automating software delivery and infrastructure management. (good to have)
          • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2, and experience implementing controls to meet these requirements. (good to have)

          Soft Skills:

          • At least 1 year of experience as a lead is preferred

          The range listed is for base compensation.  Your actual base salary will vary based on factors including location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
