In this role, you will: 

  • Provide significant influence and leadership over Samsara’s security automation roadmap and priorities, balancing both near-term and long-term business impact with technical considerations.

Samsara’s Compensation Philosophy:Samsara’s compensation program is designed to deliver Total Direct Compensation (based on role, level, and geography) that is at or above market. We do this through our base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles.  For eligible roles, a new hire RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire, and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually.

In this highly visible and important role, you will report to the CISO to work on critical user technical issues, remove technology obstacles facing the rapidly growing staff, maintain and improve upon our systems, and implement new solutions.

This role can be located remotely in LATAM and will be required to work a shift that covers 12pm-8pm EST or 2pm-10pm EST.

Essential Functions:

  • Remotely manage all company infrastructure assets including laptops, mobile devices, and a small office site.
  • Participate in short and long range planning and the execution of strategic initiatives to reach the organization’s business objectives.

Basic Qualifications 

  • 2+ Years of experience in a front-line IT support role.
  • Experience integrating SAAS applications.
  • Experience working with programming languages (Python, BASH, Powershell, Javascript)
  • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems
  • Experience rolling out large scale IT projects
  • Experience administering a remote macOS(80%),Windows OS environment(15%) and Linux(5%)
  • Manage company SaaS software, email and other communications/collaboration platforms (Google workspace, Slack, Okta, Jira)
  • Experience with identity and access management tools (Okta, Active Directory, Azure)
  • Understanding of Mobile Device Management (ie. Jamf Pro, InTune, Kandji)
