Management Analyst

VestwellNew York (Remote)
Master’s DegreejirasqlsalesforceDesignc++css

Vestwell is hiring a Remote Management Analyst

WHO ARE WE?

There are over 30M small businesses in the United States, but only a tiny fraction of them have a workplace savings program in place.  As the savings gap in the country widens, it’s imperative that every worker has access to and participates in their company’s savings program, such as a 401(k) or 403(b).  We believe that American workers should have easy access to an inexpensive, flexible, and intuitive solution to save for a brighter future.

Unfortunately, prior to Vestwell, small businesses have been neglected and underserved, with expensive, inflexible, poorly designed offerings built on old, mainframe software.  Vestwell is changing that, starting with rebuilding the core infrastructure for the modern era.

Vestwell’s north star is to be the engine behind a $30T industry, powering all payroll-deducted workplace savings programs for small-to-midsize businesses, such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA, emergency savings accounts (ESA), health savings accounts (HSA), 529 college savings, and alike.

Vestwell’s focus is to build the most flexible, powerful workplace savings and investment platform, delivered through the hands and minds of their financial services partners with the help of payroll provider partners. The team at Vestwell makes the hard stuff look easy, by combining the expertise of financial advice with the sophistication of a technology provider.

As a result, workplace providers are able to bestow the advice and solution employers and employees have been asking for, while growing and scaling along the way. Employers get a cost-effective solution designed for their needs without all the headaches, and employees get a user-friendly portal that helps them achieve their long-term saving goals.

WHY VESTWELL?

With backing from leading FinTech investors, as well as a growing team of dedicated professionals of strong industry pedigree, Vestwell is at the forefront of a much-needed change in a 40-year old industry. Our team believes in the mission we’ve set out to achieve and we are working hard to get there. We’re ambitious, honest, thoughtful, and fun.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

  • Design systems and procedures to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
  • Understand high-level strategic plans, identify opportunities, and translate them into workable features.
  • Work with service desk to create tooling for internal outbound requests from stakeholders.
  • Work with developers to break down product requirements and provide functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Provide feedback to the development team by identifying bugs and assisting in resolution.
  • Complete functional testing and provide product sign-off when features are ready for a production release.
  • Track usage trends and analyze data to inform future development plans.

REQUIREMENTS

The necessities

  • Master’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or closely related, or the foreign equivalent.
  • 2 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in the job offered, or closely related,
  • Experience with the following, (which may have been gained concurrently): PL/SQL, MS-SQL, JIRA, Salesforce, AVA, Github, HTML 5.0, CSS,
  • Experience in testing and configuration,
  • Database structure and SQL, Integrations via any of the following: APIs; OAuth; JSON, or XML

The expected salary range for this position is $$115,918 with a bonus variable, 40hr/week. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.  Job may be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States.

About Us

At Cloudflare, we have our eyes set on an ambitious goal: to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers approximately 25 million Internet properties, for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare all have web traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with every request. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks. Cloudflare was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Company Cultures list and ranked among the World’s Most Innovative Companies by Fast Company.

We realize people do not fit into neat boxes. We are looking for curious and empathetic individuals who are committed to developing themselves and learning new skills, and we are ready to help you do that. We cannot complete our mission without building a diverse and inclusive team. We hire the best people based on an evaluation of their potential and support them throughout their time at Cloudflare. Come join us!

About the Department

Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) is where new and bold products are built and released within Cloudflare. Rather than being constrained by the structures which make Cloudflare a massively successful business, we are able to leverage them to deliver entirely new tools and products to our customers.

About The Team

Cloudflare helps build the future of the Internet. The Emerging Technology and Incubation (ETI) team invents, launches, and brings to market the technologies required to reach that goal. ETI ships software that changes the Internet. The world's fastest DNS resolver, 1.1.1.1, Cloudflare WARP, Cloudflare One, Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and Workers AI are examples of our launches.

The team members in ETI make this possible. The group consists of engineers, product managers, developer advocates and researchers who share a common passion for helping build a better Internet. The ETI organization encourages individual team members to be ambitious and bold in how we find and solve problems. We move quickly and shape our products based on customer usage and feedback, while leveraging the massive scale and reliability of our global network.

ETI also helps drive our Innovation Weeks at Cloudflare and contributes with new products, features, and visions for helping build a better Internet. Doing that requires all of ETI to execute on releases that customers will use today, tell our story as part of Cloudflare’s larger mission, and to build products that allow Cloudflare’s customers to realize that 1+1 can equal 3 when using all of these features together.

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team. You will work with a team of passionate, talented engineers that are building innovative products that bring security and speed to millions of internet users each day. You will play an active part in shaping product features based on what’s technically possible. Furthermore, you will make sure our company hits our ambitious goals from an engineering standpoint.

You bring a passion for meeting business needs while building technically innovative solutions, and excel at shifting between the two—understanding how big-picture goals inform technical details, and vice-versa. You thrive in a fast-paced iterative engineering environment.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in software development, with a strong focus on TypeScript programming language, Vue, React and Redux;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong focus on TypeScript, React and Redux programming language;
  • Experience frontend frameworks and tools;
  • Good understanding of CSS, HTML and how to work with product design teams;
  • Solid understanding of systems engineering principles and practices;
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Passion for learning and exploring new technologies;
  • Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex problems;
  • An operational mindset - we don't just write code, we also own it in production;
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment is a plus;
  • Good understanding of how Browsers and how their underlying technologies work;
  • Experience with WebAssembly and / or Rust is a bonus.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience building high performance distributed systems;
  • Contributions to large open source projects.

What Makes Cloudflare Special?

We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: We equip politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: We created Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration.

Path Forward Partnership: Since 2016, we have partnered with Path Forward, a nonprofit organization, to create 16-week positions for mid-career professionals who want to get back to the workplace after taking time off to care for a child, parent, or loved one.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitmentand ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.

Sound like something you’d like to be a part of? We’d love to hear from you!
