About the Opportunity - Imperva’s Enterprise Services program drives customer success with proactive monitoring and management that maximizes the value customers get out of their products and services. Cloud Security engineers respond to incidents related to security and system health, provide holistic operational guidance, and carry out troubleshooting and configuration within Imperva’s Cloud Application Security platform. 
Cloud Security engineers see a broad range of activities across cloud application and security domains, from integration tasks (such as key management and logging) to security response (advising during triage, analysis, and remediation) to providing analysis and insights through advanced reporting. They also consult with internal functions, both technical (such as support and R&D) and business (such as account executives and renewals). 
  
Responsibilities: 
  • Expertise with Imperva Cloud Application Security platform
  • Provide comprehensive service to our customers, including proactive monitoring, configuration, integration assistance, and post-sales assistance
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing a high quality of troubleshooting, investigation, and consultation when requested by customers
  • Take ownership and deal with issues, work with internal Imperva support, research, development and product functions to deliver actionable intelligence that will inform future product enhancements
  
Job Requirements: 
  • At lest 2 years experience in tech support, networking, or SOC
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Familiarity and experience with network protocols and standards - HTTP/S, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP
  • Familiarity and experience with OWASP top 10 risks
  • Familiarity with common web technology concepts such as HTML, Javascript, JSON, and REST APIs
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the drive to research and learn in pursuit of solutions
  • Advantage for experience in scripting languages: Python, Bash
  • Bonus points - Experience with AWS or Azure
  • Relevant education degrees or professional certifications are desirable.

Overview

The LivePerson Cloud Operations team is looking for talented CloudOps Engineers to help take our operations to the next level. We are looking for a candidate that takes on challenges, continuously expands his area of expertise, and takes ownership of his work. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, an eagerness to follow good practices, and a desire to apply his skills in the field of DevOps.

You will:

  • Support new cloud services, including gathering and validating requirements, testing capabilities, implementing service, and monitoring and maintaining service performance SLAs.
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure meets business needs.
  • Utilize your deep experience and problem-solving skills to help prevent and resolve production issues.
  • Employ DevOps principles and tools to automate routine processes.
  • Support post-outage procedures such as correction of error (COE) and root cause analysis (RCA) procedures.
  • Recommend and implement cloud operations best practices.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent engineering work experience in a CloudOps, DevOps, or similar role.
  • Strong experience in Linux Administration, with a solid understanding of system internals and troubleshooting - MUST
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet, automating infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
  • Proficiency in managing cloud environments, with experience in Openstack and VMware - MUST, preferably in GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP Preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing infrastructure in a hybrid cloud (on-prem & public cloud) environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell - MUST
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.

About the role

The Senior Security Engineer focuses on cloud technologies, working with other Security team members and partnering cross-functionally with engineering and SRE to ensure Oscar has the data and tools needed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Oscar’s data and systems. You will be working with cross-functional teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate security issues in Oscar’s cloud environments and processes. Assisting to create a culture of collaboration with a focus on automation, maintainability, and security.

You will report to the Manager, Security Architecture.

 

Work Location

Oscar is a blended work culture where everyone, regardless of work type or location, feels connected to their teammates, our culture and our mission.

Pay Transparency

The base pay for this role is: $144,000 - $189,000 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify, address, and resolve security concerns across Oscar's comprehensive tech infrastructure, encompassing Web Applications, Mobile Apps, Networks, and Cloud systems, including proposing enhanced controls and procedural strategies to mitigate technical risks
