Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $98,400 - $129,150 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $88,560 - $116,235 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and prioritizes operational processes by working cross functionally to gather business requirements and implementing process- and technology-enabled solutions

Swing Left is hiring a Remote Mobilization Associate

Overview

Swing Left and Vote Forward are hiring a Mobilization Associate. This role helps to ensure that volunteers and volunteer leaders are engaged, developed, and mobilized around capacity building and voter contact programs via online communities by supporting mobilization programs and managing volunteers.

Mobilization is a long term, continual project of identifying and recruiting volunteers, moving those volunteers up a ladder of engagement around national voter contact priorities and building specialized teams of volunteers that can scale up quickly and easily at peak times of volunteer engagement.

Mobilization works alongside Swing Left’s community organizing program, which supports local volunteer leaders to build, lead, and engage groups of volunteers in their communities to help elect Democrats in the most competitive races.

The Mobilization Associate reports to the Senior Director, Mobilization and is an at-will position that we anticipate will end after the 2024 election cycle, with the possibility of extension.

About Swing Left

Swing Left is a national grassroots organization working to elect Democrats in the most competitive federal and state elections. We make it possible for anyone to make a big impact on the elections that determine the balance of power in our country, by volunteering and donating in key races. Since launching in 2017, Swing Left volunteers have raised more than $80 million for Democratic candidates, civic organizations, and voter mobilization efforts, and made more than 44 million combined phone calls, door knocks, and handwritten letters sent to voters via its affiliate Vote Forward and their partners.

About Vote Forward

Vote Forward is a nonpartisan organization that builds tools to encourage Americans to vote. We work to increase the participation of traditionally underrepresented groups in the electorate, and to increase civic engagement among the public at large by supporting the volunteers working to engage these voters. Since 2018, more than 250,000 grassroots volunteers have used the Vote Forward platform to send handwritten letters to more than 30 million prospective voters to encourage them to register to vote and turn out for elections. Hiring process overview

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and execution of mobilization programs for Swing Left and Vote Forward

  • Support the implementation and execution of virtual events; develop content, communicate with event attendees to address needs and help manage the end-to-end experience
  • Manage the Capacity Volunteer Team, a group of volunteer leaders who support our national virtual events
    • Coordinate the team’s coverage of tasks by assigning ownership and project managing the distribution of responsibilities; develop and maintain relevant training and reference materials for team members
    • Manage the team’s work to engage with attendees ahead of, during, and in follow up to national events
  • Support the Vote Forward Helpdesk to respond to Vote Forward volunteer inquiries
    • Support the execution of processes for user account vetting and administration of general support for volunteers—troubleshoot technical needs, communicate policies and the reasoning behind them, provide letter writing guidance, and intake feedback and questions—ensuring compliance with messaging guidelines
    • Develop and maintain saved responses for outbound communication
  • Support Vote Forward community event hosts to plan and execute letter writing events; communicate via Slack, email, and meetings to answer questions, provide insight, and address needs
  • Support the planning process for mobilization programs and events in collaboration with Senior Director, Mobilization

Support the Swing Left organizing team to implement and execute Get Out The Vote efforts

  • Support implementation of Swing Left’s GOTV bus program, which directs volunteer capacity for canvassing to target districts; coordinate with stakeholders, help develop training and content for bus riders, and help manage communication with attendees
  • Support national GOTV events; create content and assist with event preparation, staff phone banks and letter writing events to train volunteers, address issues, and respond to volunteer questions

Successful Mobilization Associate candidates will have

  • A strong commitment to our mission and values
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity and belonging across all identities including but not limited to race, gender, sexual orientation, age and ability. A specific track record of a commitment to BIPOC communities
  • At least one year of electoral or advocacy organizing experience
  • Demonstrated experience with planning and executing virtual events (strong preference for experience with virtual events for organizing)
  • Demonstrated experience with organizing strategies (including recruiting volunteers, team building, managing volunteer leaders, and peer-to-peer texting)
  • Understanding of voter contact tactics (including door knocking, high traffic canvassing, and phone banking)
  • Strong relationship management skills, including volunteer management
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

Working at Swing Left and Vote Forward

The Mobilization Associate is a full-time, exempt, and remote position that we expect to end after the 2024 cycle, with the possibility of extension. The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $64,000/year.

There is minimal travel expected for this position. There may be an opportunity to support an in-person organizing event in the fall, depending on location. Organizing related travel plans are made in collaboration with the staff member.

We provide cost of living compensation increases at the beginning of each year. In addition to health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits, Swing Left and Vote Forward’s benefits package includes a professional development fund, a remote work fund, and a technology stipend for all employees. We have an unlimited time-off policy, a flexible medical and parental leave policy, and our office is closed for approximately 25 business days each year. Who we seek:

A motivated and self-driven Staff Client Support Engineer to provide high-quality support to our enterprise customers, being their advocate in collaborating with our Development team to drive issues to resolution.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with client stakeholders to troubleshoot advanced technical issues
  • Evaluate implementation results, deploy solution components and workarounds, and participate in the product configuration efforts to meet clients’ specific requirements
  • Engage with multi-discipline internal and client teams to ensure successful resolutions within customers’ environments
  • Transfer knowledge for relevant technical areas at an applicable level of depth and detail within the internal Support organization as well as our customers
  • Work closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams to prioritize and resolve product issues, enhancement requests, and possible implementation flow improvements
  • Resolve complex problems through a deep understanding of how the product should work and analysis of code
  • Identify and prioritize technical improvements backed by data and experience, while considering business constraints, to deliver on important initiatives
  • Influence adjacent teams' designs to promote better holistic system design decisions

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in information technology, with at least 2 years in a customer-facing role – preferably involved in product implementation and hands-on technical activities within enterprise corporate environments
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or other related technical disciplines. A graduate degree in a technical or business discipline is a strong plus. (Extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.)
  • Meaningful experience with installation, configuration and management of Linux-based Operating Systems, including basic shell proficiency (bash, sh, ksh, tcsk, etc.), experience with package management systems (apt/dpkg, yum/rpm, etc.), file archiving tools (tar, gz, zip, bz2), remote access and file transfer protocols (SSH, SCP, SFTP/FTP), file sharing technology (NFS, CIFS/SMB), and authentication frameworks (LDAP, Kerberos)
  • Basic experience with some RDBMS, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, IBM DB2, etc.
  • Hands on  experience in Docker and Kubernetes deployments 
  • Demonstrated experience in writing code projects with Python, C++, C# and Java – major advantage.
  • Troubleshooting complex software modules, working from written and oral issues as described by the technical support organization, sales organization, account managers and customers themselves.
  • Develop and modify modules as part of workarounds for issues or as a professional services enhancement.
  • Ability to context switch and move effectively between different tasks or competing priorities

The annual base salary range is $90,000 – $115,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. CS Energy is hiring a Remote Project Controls Specialist - (NJ)

The Project Controls Specialist works under the guidance of our Project Controls Leadership and in partnership with our Operations Team to provide a single point of contact for Cost and Schedule across a portfolio of projects.  This role will include preparation and maintenance of various Project Controls tools including but not limited to Cost and Resource Loaded CPM Schedules, Project Forecast Sheets, and 4 Week Lookahead Reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain project schedules across multiple projects/portfolios
  • Work with the project team to build initial project schedules that includes high level of detail and sub-schedules
  • Monitor progress and produce accurate projections of time and cost
  • Load and trend both cost and resources into the project schedules
  • Conduct monthly forecast review meetings across multiple project teams
  • Perform Quality Assurance on project forecasts across multiple projects/portfolios
  • Regular travel to project sites to engage with project teams.   Expected travel twice monthly
  • Ensure accurate earned cost/revenue and cost to complete values in project forecast sheets
  • Hold project teams accountable for effectively utilizing project controls tools and track utilization for reporting to Director of Project Controls
  • Attend, participate, and contribute to cost forecast meetings; take meeting notes, track open points, and manage follow-ups
  • Support Operations with verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are correctly accounted for
  • Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound financial and schedule analysis
  • Produce and analyze 4-week lookahead reports
  • Attend and participate in team meetings both remotely and on the jobsite
  • Develop reports to aid and enhance performance of project teams
  • Create databases and tools that will provide further insight into CS Energy’s project portfolio
  • Present project plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams
  • Help identify and implement cost and schedule process improvements
  • Interact with subcontractors and clients, as necessary
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in EPC project controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college preferred
  • Experience planning and scheduling with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Experience with project forecasting
  • Energy/Power construction markets experience is preferred
  • Experience with Forensic Schedule Analysis is a plus
  • Certification related to Project Management (PMP, PSP, etc.) is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access/SQL (ability to build databases highly desired) Experience with building PowerBI dashboards is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with a track record for developing innovative solutions to difficult Business problems
  • Diligent, dedicated and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver while handling large numbers of diverse tasks
  • High energy level - self-starter
  • Technical knowledge of product lines and associated systems
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
