Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer and market focussed product collections each season in line with company strategy and brand identity
  • Research trends, materials, trims and colour palettes and design new product incorporating in line with the full price shoe range
  • Spot opportunities for new shapes and products to enhance the current range
  • Produce detailed spec with technical drawings for new product development and modifications to samples
  • Work closely with the Buying team to ensure production details meet the brands quality requirements
  • Work closely with the Buying team to finalise aesthetics of approved designs for production
  • Produce high quality work to targets and tight deadlines
  • Visit suppliers as required

 

  • Footwear Design degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Ladies Footwear Designer, ideally with outlet experience
  • Passionate about fashion with a strong interest in and keen eye for current and upcoming trends
  • Strong understanding of brand building; the ability to see trends through the lens of the brand, while focusing on the use of existing house codes and evolution of icons
  • A flair for design with great creativity and imagination
  • Confident in presenting your designs formally and informally
  • A practical knowledge and experience of production methods in the far east
  • Able to work without supervision, prioritising and managing own workload
  • Ability to work as part of highly productive team, building relationships with a positive attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills necessary

The Opportunity –

We’re looking for an ambitious designer with traditional design and layout skills to support needs for the company, which may include sports, music, and entertainment work in the areas of talent representation and management, marketing, and sales. The ideal candidate will understand how to take direction from written or spoken briefs and convert them into visually arresting graphics and videos that can be used across a variety of digital and social channels as well as print advertising, invitations, presentation decks, and more. Fundamental skills in layout and typography should be excellent, emphasis on motion and animation design abilities as well.

Who You Are –

You will act as both curator and creator of visually interesting digital and social content for a world-class company, which includes representation of the biggest names from across the globe. You will be involved in all aspects of the company, which, beyond client work, will include corporate projects that incorporate our employees and executives.

What You’ll Do –

We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a demanding atmosphere and work brilliantly in a team environment, but equally, you are at home when required to work independently.

Interest in still and video content capturing is a plus, with opportunity to attend major sporting, music, and cultural events.

This role will be based in the Los Angeles area, with expectation of three days a week of in-office work, and additional in-person coverage of events as needed.

Other Responsibilities –

  • Execute visually appealing and compelling design requests to support the needs of the company, primarily static and motion/video assets for social media channels on Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Ensure assets are optimized for each platform.
  • Specific skills desired include:
    • Digital, print, and logo creation
    • Motion graphics and animation
    • Presentation and digital marketing materials
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design.
  • Manage your time in a smart and efficient manner, clearly communicating with your manager ensuring everyone is on the same page at all touch points of the project.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s clients – both athletes, brands, music artists and entertainers – and use that knowledge to inform your creative output.
  • Work simultaneously on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ideal candidate will also have the ability to create compelling digital and social content from start to finish.
  • Ability and interest in shooting original content (still and video) a plus.
  • Limited travel possible, based on interest and needs of the department.

 

    • 2+ years of experience developing the types of digital creative assets described above.
    • A genuine interest and passion for the sports, music, and entertainment worlds.
    • Present work internally to team, and substantiate creative decisions, and take feedback constructively.
    • A strong knowledge of leading social platforms (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube, Tiktok) and the features each platform offers and can be leveraged to produce engaging work
    • Commitment to excellence — working nonstandard, but flexible, hours when necessary to support workflow demands and live events (nights and weekends), anticipating issues.
    • Ability to think creatively and drive innovation.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) – with abilities in Adobe Premiere and After Effects as well.

Base salary range: $66,560, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
