The Director, Clinical Services is a critical role for our company as we enter our scaling phase.  You will bring your passion for member care, ingenuity and impeccable management skills to lead the Clinical Services teams through rapid growth, scale and change. Operational Excellence

This role supports the day-to-day operations of the Clinical Services Organization at Parsley Health by partnering with other key cross-functional leaders including Member Experience, Product, Data, the Medical Director and the Growth Team to enhance, operationalize and measure a highly-efficient care delivery model.

  • Clinical & Care Management Operations: Ensures coordination with cross-functional teams in support of daily clinical operations, vendor management and vendor services.
  • Responsible for service design to ensure coordination of care across the continuum and select, devise and oversee clinical operations, work methods, procedures, workflows and standards for quality and quantity of work.
  • Quality: Monitor and evaluate operations for compliance with RNs licensure and regulatory standards
  • Supports the development and deployment of scaling solutions, including management systems, performance improvement systems, operational standards, metrics, measurement processes and decision support systems.

Leadership/Strategy

Key operational lead for development and implementation of a strategic plan that supports the organization’s vision and goals of the Care Management & Clinical Coordinator teams; translates the strategic plan to staff to ensure support; modifies or adjusts the plan in response to changing internal and external factors.

  • Facilitates management of the projects, and the application of the tools, processes, etc. to enable design and deployment of cross-functional solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Leads clinical capacity management and operational efforts, including availability assessment, capacity forecasting and optimization for all Clinical staff.
  • Manages Capacity Management and Provider Operations team by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback and addressing performance problems and issues promptly in alignment with our values. 
  • Advises Medical Director, People & Culture, and Finance as to Clinical Staffing needs, and mix (Tiering,1099), as well as optimal national-level state licensing mix
  • Develops and executes workforce planning strategy and oversees staff managing clinical schedules.
  • Establish and deliver reports on an regular cadence to the Executive team regarding utilization and capacity metrics
  • Designs and maintains rigorous analysis practices using business intelligence methods and approaches while maintaining data integrity. Typical areas of analysis include: Clinician staffing mix, capacity thresholds, forecasting, national licensure levels, panel status (open/close), credentialing, and provider template optimization.
  • Works cross-functionally with clinical leadership, finance, sales, product, and growth to understand key drivers and inputs of Capacity.
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to manage capacity and wait time SLAs. 
  • Closely monitors capacity coverage gaps and makes data driven recommendations based on defined Service Level Agreements. 
  • Manages staff overseeing clinical licensing, including record maintenance, information compilation, and submission of the necessary forms in order to obtain and maintain clinical licensing. Ensures the timely submission of materials to state agencies in order to obtain licenses promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage administrative work and projects relating to the organization’s entity structure (PCs and MSO). 

What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years of experience in distributed healthcare operations and business process design/execution within a high-growth startup or healthcare environment and/or consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead 1 or more direct reports to drive business outcomes

The opportunity:

We are hiring a DTC Growth Manager to support Parsley Health’s efforts across our direct to consumer audience- both payer and cash pay.  In this role, the Manager will partner closely with lifecycle marketing, sales, member experience and product to drive patient adoption in our products. The Manager will take a data-driven approach to marketing and run experiments to determine how to optimize member growth and will be held accountable to increasing our number of monthly acquisitions. This role directly manages our Creative team, since we believe strongly in product-led growth and want to ensure that product drives storytelling. 

This role calls for organization, collaboration, and a proactive approach to both creative and strategic work. This role is best-suited for someone highly analytical, process-oriented, and proactive. The ideal candidate is a blend of analytical and creative, who is not afraid to think outside the box and can execute on ideas (and fully measuring and analyzing the performance).

What you’ll do:

  • Own enrollment rate for our DTC channels
  • Leveraging data, manage SEM to deliver better results
  • Leveraging data, improve SEO to deliver better results
  • Website optimization- responsible for the overall website experience and website-driven acquisitions
  • Funnel optimization to increase conversion at each step   
  • Develop/ manage a comprehensive and iterative DTC strategy
  • Develop/ manage experiments to optimize member acquisitions
  • Design and manage cross functional projects aimed to deliver more member acquisitions
  • Be main point of contact to for PR on partnerships and events
  • Manage key partnerships that are focused on lead swaps
  • Responsible for increasing the membership conversion rate of our leads through website and messaging optimization (key goal: visit to lead conversion rate) 
  • Oversee customer-facing messaging and content across various channels, such as the website, organic social, paid media and email
  • Lead go-to-market strategies, including key messaging development and tactical channel plans, ensuring that all customer-facing teams are on-message and maximizing each channel
  • Manage the creative team and their queue, ensuring strong brand presence and continuous evolution of content based on learnings and best practices

What you’ll need:

  • Highly analytical background
  • At least 3+ years of experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead 1 or more direct reports to drive business outcomes
  • Ability to manage complex projects, from coordinating with cross-functional teams to setting and meeting deadlines to delivering business outcomes

The opportunity:

The Referral & Prior Authorization Coordinator will be a key member of the Clinical Operations Team at Parsley Health and responsible for supporting members with referrals as well as identifying prior authorization requirements by insurance/payer and ensuring our B2B members have a streamlined referral experience. They will be responsible for processing and completing all prior authorizations requested by the clinical team on behalf of the patient; i.e. for procedures, medications, lab work etc. They will also be responsible for supporting members when necessary in the event a lab order was not covered by their insurance.  We are looking for people excited to grow with us!  

This role reports into our Clinical Operations Manager. This is a FTE, non-exempt position.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage referrals for members by finding a specialist in-network with the member’s insurance and coordinating the appointment.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation from patient visits outside of PH are returned to the appropriate clinical team.
  • Follow up with the members post-visit to ensure they were able to attend the appointment.
  • Process referrals and submit medical records to insurance carriers to expedite prior authorization processes.
  • Manage correspondence with insurance companies, physicians, specialists, and patients as needed.
  • Manage requests for prior authorization through the electronic health record (EHR) and/or via phone/email/fax to ensure that they are properly processed in a timely fashion and closely monitored.
  • Assist with medical necessity documentation to expedite approvals and ensure that appropriate follow up is performed.
  • Review accuracy and completeness of information requested and ensure that all supporting documents are present.
  • Support patients with unexpected large lab bills by consulting with clinician and providing lab with appropriate ICD-10 codes and/or letters of medical necessity.
  • Create medical invoices for potential reimbursement for membership fees for out-of-network members.
  • Draft FSA/HSA letters for members when necessary.
  • Track data on approvals and denials for referrals and authorizations Parsley wide.
  • Assisting with creating SOPs and workflows as they relate to Referrals/Insurance/PAs.
  • Process and send appeals to appropriate entities in a timely fashion.

What you’ll need:

  • 2+ years in health care processing of prior authorizations and insurance 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance process and medical terminology.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail with a knack for organization and clarity.
  • Flexibility; things change often and we need someone who can adapt quickly.

You are a collaborative and supportive teammate to other clinical staff.

What you’ll need:

  • Active RN license
  • 3+ years experience in direct patient care
  • Comfort utilizing a variety of practice technologies (EMR, messaging portal, scheduling system) 
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Empathetic bedside manner, good listener and self starter
  • Get stuff done attitude, willingness to dive into the details as needed

What you’ll need:

  • At least one year of relevant work experience in a one-to-one client/patient-facing
  • Healthcare tech/start-up experience preferred
  • An empathetic customer-service approach that ensures your members feel heard and cared for
  • Call management system experience preferred (i.e., Regal.io)
  • A passion for helping others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Can comfortably resolve issues over the telephone
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a knack for organization and clarity - nothing slips through the cracks

The opportunity:

We’re looking for an experienced growth-focused Lead Engineer and leader with knowledge of multiple technologies that can lead a team to build exciting new features that support the Parsley Health mission. You will be joining a remote team of passionate engineers  In this role, you will work closely with marketing, engineering, product, design and customer reliability teams. Parsley Health is an outcome driven organization and your work will directly contribute to the company objectives:  expand the business nationally, improve activation, conversion, retention, and expansion of our healthcare products.

What you’ll do:

  • Take ownership of technical design, solutions, and initiatives by working directly with executives and the product team to build features or brand new applications for Parsley’s patients
  • Build modern, beautiful web applications that shape our members’ experiences, empower doctors and health coaches, and support our internal team
  • Work closely with our Design teams to design, spec and estimate new projects and features
  • Lead an amazing team of engineers and mentor team members
  • Foster high code quality, security and set best practices
  • Ideate with the leadership and product team to identify solutions to key initiatives or user problems

What you’ll need:

  • A full stack engineer with hands on-the-job experience in the following technologies:
    • Front-end frameworks: React, NextJs, Vue or Remix
    • Web services using Go or NodeJS
    • Data languages such as GraphQL and JSON
    • Relational databases like PostgreSQL
  • Previously delivered significant and impactful projects that you are proud of
  • Have a strong understanding of the infrastructure of microservice patterns, the relationship of domain services and front-end applications including authentication/authorization layers and event pattern using pubsub
  • Experienced in unit and integration testing
  • Be able to diagnose and remediate issues in existing systems
  • Have a good understanding of security and its role in the healthcare industry
  • Someone who takes a disciplined approach to development, testing, documentation, code structure and review in a team environment
  • Be able to own the development and lifecycle of an entire feature
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset in venture-backed growth-stage startups
  • Thrive under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Passionate about our mission to live healthier through revolutionary primary care, excited for the future of healthcare, and a personal belief in wellness

Nice-to-haves:

  • DevOps experience in one or all of the following platforms: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

Our tech stack:

  • GCP is our platform for all custom application development and services
  • Services are containerized and run in containerd
  • GraphQL is our service language for applications.
  • Current languages of choice are Golang (new services) and Kotlin (legacy).
  • Managed Postgres with Cloud SQL.
  • GitHub is our repository and CI/CD service.
